Abujabir24: Right about what ?? |
bidex:How you speak about someones ethnic affiliation indicates if you are tribalistic. In a bid to speak against tribalism, you are being tribalistic. Without any sense of tribal bigotry, if you see things in clear perspective. The Westerners are more inclined to white collar jobs, this doesnt warrant migration as a lot of companies are already situated in the west. The Easterners are more inclined to small scale businesses, that is why you notice a lot them migrating to other places to search for better markets. Infact the Igbos are everywhere in the country doing businesses. On the flip side, most white collar jobs are populated by Westerners. These jobs bring more stability in terms of migration. That is why you dont see a lot of Westerners migrating. Moreso, the fact that Lagos is highly populated has nothing to do with tribal affiliations. It is just because it was the defunct capital of Nigeria and economic powerhouse of the country. All capitals in the world are populated. For example, if Kebbi State was the defunct capital, you would notice the same migration pattern to Kebbi State regardless of tribal affiliations. About not having other communities in the East. That is not true. Infact, in some native villages in the East, you see core Northerners that sell suya and do other trades. You also notice Fulani herdsmen with their cattles grazing on Eastern lands. There are Hausa communities all over Eastern States Let us try to be OBJECTIVE in our analysis and not be clouded by TRIBAL sentiments. PEACE !!! |
I think it is wrong to say negative things about an enterprise because they requested pay for a service on an optional basis. As long as people are NOT FORCED to pay a certain fee to proceed to the next level, then people should should cut these fellows some slack. A lot of people come up here and say careless and raunchy comments about the same people you think can help broker a job for you with a prospective employer. This is unfair on the part of people who have invested a lot of hard work to make this possible. N:B: I dont work for PUSHCV. |
samtol4:Thanks !!! |
Guys please this is urgent. I need some help from all of you I need to make a trip to SA for an exam. Am i going to be needing financial statement of my account to apply, as i am not staying there for a long time. I am going there for a period of like 1 week. I dont want to pay for the exam and now get rejected because of financial statement of account. Thanks. Cc samtol4 |
OP this is very simple now. 1) Independent Lady Can Pay for her BIS, Broke Lady remembers you when BIS is expiring. 2) Independent Lady Can Pay for her Sharwarma, Broke Lady will tell you dat she is hungry when you are passing Sharwarma joint. 3) Independent Lady Can transport her self, Broke Lady will beg you for transport. 4) Independent Lady would decline going to ISIEWU joint with you, Broke Lady would be smiling like christmas goat because you bought SUYA for her. |
Maybe this list would have saved MGBEKE from making that relationship mistake. The only problem is that she is too myopic to consider all these options after chopping his money and begging for Sharwarma constantly !!! |
March On Brave Soldier..March On You will GO, You will SEE and You will CONQUER !!! Victory is from God alone !! |
ak4God:Let me ask you a question ? If Jonathan had lied under oath that his certificates were at UNIPORT and it turned out to be false, what do you think the comments will be ? - By the way, your first point is a LIE !!!! - The second is also a LIE, on those occasions he went as the president of the country, not for campaign reasons. What is wrong if a president receives blessings from a spiritual figure ? Is it wrong for him to receive blessings based on his religious beliefs. - The third is hilarious, nobody cares who goes along with you on a pilgrimage journey. Not to sound rude, i believe that people who generate unwise propagandas like this, void of facts and reasoning are the true enemies of democracy. The citizens are looking for ISSUE BASED campaigns |
Loool.. Isnt it funny that Oba said Buhari is a passionte man. I find displeasure in the fact that the Oba also could not tell Buhari to write to Cambridge for a copy of his certificate as stipulated by the law. Our monarchs should learn to be neutral and say the truth to politicians I wonder what kind of CHANGE we preach in this country. Yes, we might not necessarily need an individual with O' Level to make a change, but the fact remains that the LAW is the LAW and it is a respecter of no one. For example, can someone without WAEC gain admission into a university because he is well behaved Or can someone who doesnt have a french passport/visa enter France because he can speak French ![]() Our leaders need to know that they are accountable to us, the citizenry. A breach of the CONSTITUTION is a slap on the face of DEMOCRACY, and i am not trying to be partisan. If an employer can make it mandatory for a copy of your certificate before a job offer, i wonder why a an individual will present an affidavit to 170 million people as proof, and later a statement of result. As far as i am concerned, this is a test of Buhari's integrity, and until he writes to Cambridge for a copy of his result, he has failed that test. |
ewizard1:O Yes, i do get your point, but i think there is clearly a misunderstanding of what i said. Refer to the bolded below containing my comments and on my previous post and a reply to your comments. POINT 1 You said: You taking some of her responsibility doesnt make her a Liability... It only portrays you being a good BF that would make a RESPONSIBLE Husband/Father! I said in my previous post: A potential wife is not a liability but a helper. i dont think any potential wife or wife material should always demand for transport fare and co. on every visit. I mean, the guys that complain about these issues are folks who have EXPERIENCED RAMPANT DEMANDS from their "potential wives" I explained that rampant demands is not good especially when the motive behind those demands are not genuine. You are saying some of her responsibilities, i am saying rampant demands from her. There is a difference. There is nothing wrong in helping out with funds as long as the reasoning is genuine. Moreover buying her I-Phone 6 doesnt make you a potential husband. You can buy here everything in the world and turn her into a punching bag at home. POINT 2 You said: Henceforth, i dont think you should think twice on taking Responsibilities for such woman. You dont have to wait till she becomes a wife. I said in my previous post: The keyword here is "MOTIVE" and not money. A guy can always assist a girlfriend with anything as long as the motive is right. I never said that it is wrong to take responsibilities in a relationship. I said the reason why men complain is because of the motive behind asking for money. So dont get me wrong. POINT 3 Let her folks be sure, that their Daughter has found a caring person. You would be honoured when you visit them. Taking care of your wife to be is not a bad thing. But mind you, you are not taking care of her because you want her folks to approve of it, you are taking care of her becasue you want to build a future with her. Marriage is not a family affair, you are not marrying her folks, it is between two people. PEACE !!! |
ewizard1:- I cant seem to figure out your point. Maybe you should clarify further. When i said a woman is a helper, i didn't mean the man should totally depend on the woman ( of cos that would be silly), i meant a woman should play the role of assisting her man, rather than being a liability. Things should be done with moderation, rather than demanding everything for things as minute as transport fare cconsistently. - Mind you, lets not stray away from the point here, OP referred to "girlfriends" not "wives". There is a whole lot of difference there. They are different stages and different levels of commitments involved. I made my assertions on the basis that the lady is a "girlfriend" and not a "wife". |
emusmith:I disagree with you here. My point is in two phases: - Giving your girlfriend money is not the issue, the MOTIVE behind why she is asking is the issue, some ladies see boyfriends as people who are supposed to provide all their needs at any time they want it which is the wrong notion. Take for example the transport fare issue, most ladies will definately have transport fare on them (i mean, who wouldn't, what if the guy is not at home, wouldn't you go back home), but they will still insist on giving them transport fare everytime even on unsolicited visits. These are the kind of women who later become liabilities in a home. Building a relationship is a collective responsibility from both parties and not on one party posing as a liability. The keyword here is "MOTIVE" and not money. A guy can always assist a girlfriend with anything as long as the motive is right. - I am glad you said POTENTIAL WIFE. A potential wife is not a liability but a helper. i dont think any potential wife or wife material should always demand for transport fare and co. on every visit. I mean, the guys that complain about these issues are folks who have experienced rampant demands from their "potential wives". Lets do a reverse logic from what you said above (the bolded), if she sees you as a potential husband, then she should know her place is to assist and not demand always. The problem is that most people just want to have a good time and not a good relationship. It takes more than "having a good time" to build a good relationship. PEACE !! |
Age is not a pre-requisite for a successful relationship or marriage. Maturity, Compatibility, and Understanding is. |
It is possible, all you need is DISCIPLINE, UNDERSTANDING AND MATURITY. BTW, @op, is dere anything like true love ?? LOVE itself by design is true. It will be tautology calling it true. My opinion though. |
I believe in luck but i dont bank on luck !! |

N:B: OP has made it clear that he doesnt want none of those "FTC" thingz on his thread by making sure he was the poster and also the first to comment. All i can say to the OP is that we will meet in court, for denying me my fundamental right to first to comment according to paragraph 15, subsection 5, section 15 of the 2005 constitution of Nairaland which states that you cannot open a thread and also be the first to comment. @OP, lemme tell you, i have the full backing and support of the Nairaland Space Bookers Association, they will soon troop in. SAY NO TO OPPRESSION FROM OP'S !! |
Sashafm: I am a prospective batch C candidate, and will also be writing my ICAN exam during the camp.I'll like to know if I would be opportuned to write the exams? before I go ahead and pay for the exam. advice on what to do pleaseFrom my calculations, during that period, you are going to be in camp, you dont have an L.I or PPA yet, contrary to some opinions above. I think the best thing for you to do is to ask people who have been in camp previously and have had similar issues or better still, take a trip to the NYSC office and inquire if they allow such during the orientation camp. From experience, i know they allow lawyers for their "Call to Bar" ceremony and pregnant women i think. |

Maser: What is this silly post meant to convey? That a public Uni is better than a private Uni or what? The person that initiated this thread is grossly immature. For the records, I attended a public and prestigious Federal University in Nigeria before another one in Europe. It is difficult to see how a First class graduate from an ill-equipped University can compare to another from a well equipped University in terms of quality, childish prejudices aside. People think that when it is more difficult to make a first in a Uni means the standard is high. In advanced societies it is an indictment on the lecturers and quality of the institution. In Nigeria many people who even deserve a first are wickedly denied it by lecturers just to make their department appear tough when in reality the quality is really poor. During our days, a lecturer would tell you ahead of time that in his course, A is for God, B for himself, then a genius in the class could have a C, then the rest could scramble for other grades and funny enough it would turn out so, not based on performance but on personal wickedness of the lecturer. Again a lot of shit happen in those public schools like sorting, bottom power, etc. I look forward to a time when public UNIs will begin to brag that they had a number of first class because the lecturers were committed and successfully imparted knowledge, there were quality teaching equipments and laboratories and as a result the outcome was many firsts. That to me is quality education as opposed to the primitive mentality that fewer firsts means high qualityYou speak with so much intelligence !! |
sandijey: You just wanna talk for the sake of talking. I don't have time for argument. I am giving real life experiences so are u. I didn't say u were talking poo because u are entitled to your opinion. If u got to where u were because of hard work or whatever. There are a million people who did the same thing u did and are no where. I gave many reasons especially why the op should not rely on only his first class or feel entitled to it in a country like ours so what's your stress. And I still stand on the fact that first class almost has no meaning because of the way it's been dished out especially by private universities. A lot of people carry first class and 2'1 so the o.p is not special and shouldn't feel he is the only one around wiv a first. Class. If u dint like that statement. Its ur business. I still stand by my assertionIt is simple, you keep on making the same mistake. First Class was never dished out to anyone. These folks worked hard for it and it is very wrong and inhumane to assert that their papers were given to them on a platter of gold because you dont agree or conform to their system. May i remind you that the so called first class private university graduates in their numbers topped the recent federal government scholarship exam for first class students only. NOW BEAT THAT !!! You dont come up here and start destroying the efforts of people because you feel like or its your opinion. Be ready to backup your assertions with facts and figures !!! |
sandijey: You are very silly. You don't have to accept my shit as u put it. Everybody here has one experience or the other and thats what my statement is based on. Which sorry state did u put me or are u talking about. Who doesn't no how private universities dish our first class anyhow.... maybe u are a product of one hence d thing dey pain u cus that was the only point ur brain could register.. Abeg stay on your lane and don't quote me again......I can quote you when and how i like, as a matter of fact, i am doing it now and there is nothing you can do about it. You simply made a wrong assertion about hardworking folks and i simply challenged you by CALLING YOUR BLUFF !! I dont have to accept your "shit" as you put it and so those everyone else here because it is mediocre, lacks substance and can destroy self esteem. Infact, if i could, i cant advice a dog to think this way. This is not a call for bitterness or unnecessary sentiments towards people who have worked hard for their paper. My advice for you is to use the time you spend on rating first class graduates to work on yourself and develop your potentials. I am a product of excellence by grace. It has nothing to do with the degree, but in personal determination and self worth. Peace. |
ogawisdom: Since convenant uni started dishing out first class anyhow d value has dropped undecided try do ur masters n enter academics dts ur best bet sandijey: Oga u have just said the Genesis of all this problem. This is why the value has dropped. The value of 2'1 too has dropped. I don't understand how schools dish out first class and 2'1 like it's pure water. Especially this private universities . I really don't understand. Some of this 1st class graduate cannot pass a face to face interview. You begin to wonder how they defended their project. Some are very timid or can't speak a complete sentence. Many first class graduates are not intelligent. They are just brilliant. Ask them on anything pertaining to their course of study and they will even give u dictionary explanation. Ask them on anything outside their course or the application of that course to real life experiences and they have no idea.I have never read so much poo in my life coming from two individuals. Its either two of you are confused or you just want to comment. Referring to the bolded, If the so called private universities are churning out less qualified 1st class graduates, then they shouldnt be a threat in the labour market. But according to you, its a problem. Its either the HR folks are getting it wrong by employing them or they are just as good as their public contemporaries. Obviously, the latter is the case. Dont compensate for your laziness by speaking poo about people that hustled hard for their paper. Wake up from your slumber, the labour market has changed, there is more competition now, people work harder now for their digits. @op, i advice you to treat some suggestions on this thread as opinions, rather than absorbing it, if not you might just end up in their sorry state with the wrong mentality. You can never go wrong with a positive attitude. You are a first class material, keeping pushing, your breakthrough is eminent. Please dont let anybody put you in a pitiable state because your mentality affects a lot in life. Cheers. |
Keep your hands clean, for WHATEVER YOU SOW, YOU SHALL REAP !! |
This thread is gender biased. The same women who clamour for gender equality are the ones who complain about the man not making them next of kin. Why should you depend on someone who you claim to be EQUAL with?? THE WOMEN SHOULD WORK HARD AND MAKE THE MEN THEIR NEXT OF KIN. |
Caracta: Many Nigerians are hypocritical. If you want to promote your culture, wear your traditional attire to the office or for interviews. Or do we all suffer from low self-esteem?On the bolded, I believe that is subject to company policy and the general norm observed. If you work for an organization, you would have to observe their rules and regulations which includes dress code. Your point there, really doesn't hold weight. Caracta: If it's about slave mentality, then why wear clothes and shoes? Afterall, your ancestors never had designer shirts and shoes.Errm..their ancestors never had shoes and clothes at a particular time also. You would need to define the original inventors of shoes and clothes too so we know. |
