SIR/MA, how far with ur assessment with vetassess unibadan: Hello People,
Please, i have few questions to ask around Vetassess Assessment as i want to apply to be assessed for STATISTICIAN
I graduated in 2006 as BSc Statistics from University of Ibadan. My entry into the UI is through direct entry, meaning i joined at 200 level. Looking at this, it simply 3 years in UI. My question is, how will Vetassess assess me based on this. Will it be a 4 year degree or 3 year? or a negative assessment
I did my Masters in Finance in London, 2010. Will it be necessary to claim point on this since BSc/Msc is same point and also MSc Finance is not related to a statistician job role. Though, my statistician role was in Asset Management/finance company from 2006 till date (including NYSC)
If i want to claim point for BSc Statistics, do i need to put it there that i have MSc finance?
In assessing my experience, will the counting begin from BSc or it will begin from MSc (if i had to tell them that i have MSc)
How many periods of Pay Slip do i need to submit to Vetassess
Is there any other document aside payslip to show evidence of employment?
Do i need to notorize all my documents before sending to Vetassess
I would appreciate if anyone can help with Employment Reference letter so i can use it as a guide in preparing my own.
Thank you. |

sir, kindly re-attached the document from VETASSES which has further information about all occupations assess by the body. thanks. bellong: @Bigfido
Your wife only need English test if she can't get a letter from her university in support of language competence. If you have the required points, you don't need any point from her.
@yody,
Yes you can nominate PHM or Medical Administrator. However, you need to read VETASSES' instructions for the two occupations. I once attached a document from VETASSES here which has further information about all occupations assessed by the body.
I am very sure, your degree will be assessed positively, where you may need to work on is how to convince them on the experience.
Once you land, waste no time in passing the AMC exam. Practising as a doctor is a gold mine. Unfortunately, my brain is too active to go back and study medicine..
@bolaobby,
In the form 80 and 1221, you must fill in the information of all your siblings. You wouldn't have to do their medicals except you want to add them as dependents.
When I submitted my application, I added some family members as dependents not traveling with me but DIBP crossed them all out themselves. No medicals requested for any of them. |

sir, deeply sorry for this. when i ticked 189,the system gave me 55 points when i ticked 190,it gave 60 points when i put in 489, it gave 65 points.Any explanation for this. i dont what to do. kindly help! bellong: No you can't.
The system already added the 5points for state sponsorship when you ticked 190.
You need 55 of your own to apply for 190.
Why not rewrite English test if you are on a 10point mark on it. |

how can one handle job offer requirement in 489 visa SUJYDEE: @bellong and all other gurus in the house
Please, we need a quick one on this...
Northern Inland (NSW) Regional Sponsor 489. Information about the regional areas will be highly appreciated.
In as much as we don't really encourage 489 visa on this forum. However, there are some set of people that couldn't meet up with the 60 points threshold after all permutations and combinations.
Thanks! |

Hello all, is it possible to get a job offer in OZ from Nigeria for Victoria state sponsorship or any of the states. thanks. lumzy1: Hello all, I appreciate the good work you all doing on this forum. I am in a situation where i would need advise on what to do next. I recently applied for Victoria State Sponsorship for the second time and got rejected. Nominated occupation is Geologist (234411), Point 70. Want to ask what other route can I use to get state sponsorship since Geologist is under CSOL. Tasmania and Queensland both require either a family connection with the state or job offer which I dont have. With this its seems there isn't any other feasible options available. |

I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone.
quote author=bellong post=48097650] Oga, why are you particular about your MSc?
Every work experience is assessed post last qualification. If you assess with EA because HND will not equal to AQF Bachelors, you will likely forfeit all those good years.
As earlier advised by SUJYDEE, assess with TRA, better to forfeit 5points than 10points. At least you would't be restricted to tradies' job, you can work in any area you want as long as you can convince employer.
What you need now is just to enter. From recent events, tradies application will be given priority because there's a decline in number of people in apprenticeship.
So be fast about it and stop wasting time on whether MSc or HND.
|

I need someone to second this comment and possibly with a proof. I hope to get a soul lifting response chuckdee13: Ur work experience is calculated after u complete the most recent educational qualification ur presenting. If u dont present ur Msc it will start as normal. So u have a choice to make, get the points from Msc and forfeit work experience points or get the points from work experience and forfeit the extra points the Msc will fetch u. |

Sir, you said if I use Msc, the work experience start date will definitely be affected. HOW? I got my HND in the year 2000,went for National Service and started working in 2001 till date in the same company.i just got my Msc in 2014,are u now saying the work experience will be calculated after the Msc was awarded. they cant expect someone to have Msc before working.please kindly explain. PLS your email address SUJYDEE: @KIKIADE
Read the guideline from page 19-21. Though this is giving a general AQF comparison but to narrow it down to group or individual nominated occupation you can use anzcosearch.com
You can as well read experiences of applicants from expatforum.com
If you are to use MSc, I guess your work experience start date will definitely be affected.
This is for FITTER (GENERAL) |

sir, is there any hope of getting 15 points from these certificates OND ELECTRICAL HND ELECTRICAL ADVANCED DIPLOMA (CITY&GUILD LONDON) PGD RADIATION PROTECTION MSC ENERGY MANAGEMENT and can I ve your email address SUJYDEE: @Elixir123
HND can't be assessed as Engineering Technologist, even in Nigeria here they are not equivalent. The maximum you can get with HND is Associate Degree which is same 10 points as AQF 3 and 4.
Depending on the school he finished from, some schools HND is equivalent to AQF 3 while others are AQF 4. You can always claim points for work experience provided the experience is on the nominated occupation or closely related.
@oscarpellenchy
Are you talking about TRADE TEST CERTIFICATE from Government Technical Colleges or The London City and Guild Trade Test. whichever one, the course outline on your transcripts will determine the placing.
This is my opinion though. |

Sir, Good day to you. Which guidelines are u talking about because ve been studying TRA MSA APPLICANT GUIDELINES(MARCH 2015) for 2months now and I ve not come across this: To have positive outcome : OND is equivalent to AQF 3 plus 2 years work experiences in nominated occupation OR HND is equivalent to AQF 4 without work experience. this: SUJYDEE: Oga bellong thanks.... I actually used both ND and HND, Mechanical Engineering.
From the guidelines.... To have positive outcome : OND is equivalent to AQF 3 plus 2 years work experiences in nominated occupation OR HND is equivalent to AQF 4 without work experience.
I think that's why there was no deduction in my number of years of experience. |

Hello, please I need a personal experience from someone that did assessment with TRA in recent time or anybody, I ve 15 years working experience, I cant get all the pay slips from 2001 (lost almost all) and the bank statement will be too many.
secondly, to get the employment statement from my supervisors since 2001 is another hard feat, all of them cannot be located (dead, retired, disengaged, relocated) except the present one, and I need the maximum points here to boost my chance. thanks |

Hello, I need a little clarification on 190 visa. I understand it is 55 points and applicant will be awarded 5 points, if sponsor by a state or territory. The question is if I have 50 points already and I now decided to go for 190 visa, am I qualify for the programme. please, kindly explain this thing.
33- 39 years = 25
ENGLISH LANG ABILITY = 0 (S-53,W-69,R-57 AND L-65)
SKILLED EMPOLYMENT = 15 15 YEARS WORKING EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATION = 10
TOTAL =50
if I decided to go for 190 visa that require 55 points, and a state or region is ready to nominate me,am I going to add 5 points to it making 55 point? |

Sir, I am still not clear with your response, If I do the test again and get 10 points, it is not reasonable to go for subclass 190 again. i will rather opt for 189,making 190 useless. OmogeNG: No you don't qualify. You qualify for 489 tho. But try your best to get 190. Do your English test again. |
Travel › Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by KIKIADE: 11:45am On Jul 13, 2016 |
Sirs, This thing is confusing, any attempt for me to rewrite the test make subclalss 190 useless. the subclass 190 needs 55 points, I ve 50 points already, if I go for the state nomination, I will get 5 points. if I rewrite the exam, the closest better result will give me 10 points then there will be no need to go for 190 visa!
If 489 will give 10points and 190 will give 5 points and I have 50 points and the total points requirement for 190 is 55 points. author=catchdwind4rmkd post=47487380]
In addition to the suggestion by OmogeNG for you to repeat the English test, you can go through REGIONAL Sponsorship, I think the subclass is 489. You'll get 10 points from that, but I learned its very difficult to get.
|
