Foolish tribalist!! Before now, his comments were laden with 'tribalistic' undertones. But now, he has come out of his shell to really expose who he truly is: An ethnic jingoist and an unrepentant 'tribalist!' |

I fear for Liverpool. I really hope that they will be able to win this. Any team apart from Man City to win the league and Liverpool looks like the best bet to do that. |

niaralandtopuser: against Spurs, ball hit Laporte hands back in his own box , City countered and score. Goal disallowed by VAR. Football decision are no longer 50/50. Technology came in to help us enjoy football but English ref are too proud to use technology in the right way. Even English Riley admitted that there is problem with the way VAR is being used in England that is why he is organizing a meeting of ref, manager and club representative This is not true as no penalty was given to Tottenham. Moreover, it was City that scored a last minute goal but was ruled out after VAR check which confirmed that the corner kick had hit Otamendi's hand in the build up to Jesus' goal. |

Bash92: Seems you have been visiting City Bluemoon forum a lot. City fans always believe there is an agenda against them from UEFA having an agenda against them to PL also having an agenda against them. TheGoodJoe and others who base their argument on the two pictures have purposely avoided responding to the point I raised regarding the other arm(left arm) of Arnold regarding their position in the first pic and that of the second pic. Leave them to believe whatever conspiracy theory they want to believe. |
Sports › Re: Proof Match Officials Were Against Manchester City In Game With Liverpool by kilisi(m): 1:59pm On Nov 13, 2019 |
TheGoodJoe: Because you can see Arnold's hand move towards the ball and stop it's flight. As I posted earlier which you deliberately avoided, analyse the other (left) arm and tell me if that was still in the same position so that you can see how fraudulent those pictures are in trying to sway people's opinion. |
Sports › Re: Proof Match Officials Were Against Manchester City In Game With Liverpool by kilisi(m): 1:56pm On Nov 13, 2019 |
TheGoodJoe: Which you know is the height of the joke. If the ref is blowing advantage, it should not be to the next player committing another handball. That means he either goes back or calls a penalty.
Either way, the officials said it was because Arnold did not commit a deliberate act which is a lie. I agree with you that Trent's hand was not in a natural position. Therefore, their explanation was wrong. However, the ball hits Bernardo's arm first so it couldn't have been a penalty. Maybe a free kick against Man City, yes. Again, what you need to understand is that the refs and assistant refs had been told not to whistle if they are not very sure as VAR is there to do the correction later on. That's why I said Man City players should have played to the whistle in the knowledge that the incidence will be reviewed by VAR and the appropriate action taken. To now say that there is a deliberate attempt by the Premier League to allow Liverpool win the league this season is a terrible conspiracy theory as almost all the clubs have been at the receiving end of wrong VAR calls this season. From Arsenals last minute disallowed goal to Firmino's offside call and Sheffield's goal against Tottenham. The problems you are seeing with VAR in The Premier League is normal as I see it as a teething problem that will be corrected with time. Don't forget, the Bundesliga had the same problem last season at the onset of the use of VAR. So let's keep our emotion in check and just enjoy the game rather looking for what's not there. |
Sports › Re: Proof Match Officials Were Against Manchester City In Game With Liverpool by kilisi(m): 1:36pm On Nov 13, 2019 |
TheGoodJoe: Trent Arnold's handball led to the goal but the officials let it stand. To put it another way, Bernardo's handball led to Trent handling the ball. The referee played the advantage and Man city players made the school boy error of not playing to the whistle as they stood still expecting the referee to blow instead of attacking the loose ball and that's what led to the goal. |
Sports › Re: Proof Match Officials Were Against Manchester City In Game With Liverpool by kilisi(m): 1:31pm On Nov 13, 2019 |
SmartyPants: the argument about whether Trent meant it or not is not relevant. At the beginning of this season, new rules were announced that stated intention would no longer be taken into account.
https://www.premierleague.com/news/1263332 Going by your logic, it is not a penalty then since the ball hits Bernardo's hand before hitting Trent's arm. |
