Straight win for Madrid. It's going to be tight though.

Mumu the same Barcelona style made em chop 4-0 last season at the Etihad. I called em shameless cos I have never seen Madrid defend like a prime Chelsea before, kid when did you start watching Champions league?? You should face your studies

Kid? Face my studies? First of all, I've been watching champions league since 1998. And then, when you are able to graduate with distinction in your first and second degrees, then you can come eat on my table.

Till then, do have a nice century!

Madrid have knocked out Man City two times in the last three years and you call them shameless FC?

Barca lapdogs can't just cease to amuse me.

You always think Barca's style of play is the only way to play ball. Well you can continue to celebrate being the owners of Madrid while they continue to win 'The Big Ear'.

Zonefree:
Wolves, Bournemouth and Everton are the teams Arsenal can win comfortably. Won't be easy for them against Man U, Chelsea, Tottenham and Aston Villa.

Liverpool will struggle against Tottenham and Everton(Merseyside derby).

Man city will win all their remaining matches comfortably except with Tottenham where they can scale with a draw or painful narrow win.

Tottenham Hotspur will be the determinant of EPL champion this season.

In all, congratulations to Man city in advance for lifting the trophy once again.

Salute for man wey sabi!

Shame on you.

The UI lady that went to the Central Mosque to go and be preaching Jesus wasn't peacefully handed over to the authorities?

Please, stop the lies! She was almost lynched to death but was later rescued by Abefele. And the trouble that followed the incidence was huge. There was protest throughout the university community by Muslims and this eventually led to the banning of all religious activities on campus except in designated places.

I was in my 300 level then and I stayed on campus, The Great Independence Hall precisely, so I was an eyewitness.

I have very vague memories of Senegal '92. Tunisia '94 was was the first Nations cup I watched consciously and we won cool.
South Africa '96 and Burkina Faso '98 were a total blur as we did not participate.
Nigeria/Ghana 2000 will forever remain in our memories as a cancelled penalty shootout robbed us of the trophy to Cameroon sad.
Mali 2002 (Mali Deux mille Deux) remains my best of all the AFCON, we won bronze medal with just 5 goals through out the tournament grin
Tunisia 2004, Egypt 2006 back to back bronze
Ghana 2008 crashed out
Angola 2010 bronze
Equatorial Guinea/Gabon 2012 blur as we no qualify
South Africa 2013 We won🏆
Equatorial Guinea 2015, Gabon 2017 total blur as we no gree qualify (it's like our spirit no gel with those 2 countries)
Egypt 2019 bronze
Cameroon 2021 crashed out
Cote D'Ivoire 2023 - only time we tell

Total of 16 tournaments, I've witnessed so far. Some Indomie pikins cannot relate

Exactly same here. The only exception is 2021 that I didn't watch at all. I think we are in the same age bracket.

While this is a laudable ideas, I will not recommend you quit your job just yet. I suggest you get your wife or a trusted relative to help run it for a while so that you don't begin to live off the farm

Nairaland is a fantastic forum. The various suggestions I got here made me change my decision and I've decided my wife and a close friend will help me handle the project while i come on around on weekends. Their businesses allow them to do just that. Thanks so much for the suggestion. I'm staying on my job for now.

Odekunle Oddy, wordsmith. Those who lived in Indy hall , University of Ibadan around 2007 to 2011 will definitely remember him. He was a member of Indy Hall Press those years and very popular in UI then.

If you really did not think about this initially, then you need to reevaluate your whole plan to be sure it is foolproof.

I actually gave it a thought but dismissed it considering how gruelling and sapping it's going to be combining the two. But more importantly, finding a reliable person to supervise the land preparation and planting work (weeding, making ridges, planting and spraying herbicide) can be a problem. If I can get one, then I will stay on my current job.

Wow! Just came back online now and realised that the thread has been moved to front page. Thanks everyone for taking your time to read and comment.

Let me answer the few questions I can remember while going through the comments.

I have practical experience in this field about five years ago until everything went south mostly due to a fault of mine. This time, adequate measures have been taken to avoid a reoccurrence. of such incidence. There is no problem of Fulani Herdsmen in this area. There is a ready made buyer, an acquaintance who buys cassava from farms at bulk for a company he works with.

I hope I've covered some of the questions raised.

Finally, I will consider having the farming business alongside my current job at least until the first harvest. That way, I can save more money and will be better equipped.

What location
What is the market demand for what u want to plant
Can u plant 6 acres without the help of workers?
What plan do u hv to preserve excess harvest.
Don't end up like my friend that reared chicken and after maturity had no one to sell to and he sold out the poultry at give away price.

Thanks for the reply.

First of all, there is high demand for the produce I intend planting.
Secondly, I'm planning to use workers for the majority of the work. Labour is relatively cheap here and there are plans for post harvest preservation and probably processing.

Good day friends and trust we are coping with the current state of things

I plan to resign from my current job by the end of February 2024 so that I can go into full time agriculture. That's my discipline from school anyway.

I've been able to raise just 1 million naira within a year and 2 months and the plan is to plant cassava and maize on a 12 acre farmland I'm about to secure.

6k per acre of land

I also plan to use about an acre for planting pepper and tomatoes.

I hope I'm not making a hasty decision by resigning from my job soon.
