How many of the tv-church prosperity-preaching "men of god" can talk like that nowadays?  Of course, THEY went to the university of "show me the money!"
Don't get me started on Nigerian pastors, especially their hypocritical silence during this election campaign season.

~rant begins~ Nigerian Preachers are so quick to lionize and praise American preachers like Kenneth Copleland, John Hagee, Hagin, Pat Robertson and co -The Militant arm of the "Conservative" Republican Party- they are their role models, but recommending their books and hiring them to speak in churches and conventions all over Nigeria is where it stops for my Naija pastors.

Nigerian Preachers can't bring themselves to take sides in politics and speak specifically about issues and candidates, even if it means saving their congregants from pain, oppression and suffering. but it's ok to tithe them hard! SMH ~rant stops~

Do NOT use that because I am young, but not concerned.
In the spirit of transparency, we need to know your real names and what you guys do for a living, the source of your funds, and hope you all realize that there is cap on individual donation towards individual campaigns.

These whole thing should be open and above boards.
So how much do we have and how much did each person contribute?
Did you follow every rules pertaining to Naija's election campaign funding?  Hope none of you is a terrorist, and no one here is sending money from overseas.

@all why can't we get the original version of the message without the background music, I bet they recorded it at the BB campaign so they should have a clean copy for Cool FM people to dub on. Just wondering aloud too.

Maybe we should post an SOS message in the music section.

The names presented included those of Jega, Ibrahim Madaki and Bukhari Bello. “While explaining how Jega was appointed,”Vanguard learnt, “Hamma maintained that it was the USA embassy in Nigeria that was used to pressurize Mr. President to eventually ‘pick’ Jega.
Again?  shocked

See, GEJ is always bowing down to foreign pressure, he has no balls and cannot stand up for Nigeria. Very very very scary. The man is unprepared for this job!

By the way, I'm none partisan. Just dont want anyone in power forcing all of us to become muslims or giving us stroke of the cains because we didnt read our quran. Its not a fight or a competition. Its an honest quest for us not to put ourselves in trouble. If you were not born when something happend, why not ask the ones who were around then for proper information.
Nigerian Tea-partier, You are veeeeeeerrrrery Corrrreeeect! despite all evidence to the contrary, Buhari will Islamize Nigeria and force all of us to become suicide bombers. undecided

Also did you know Obama is a Muslim? He was Born in Afghanistan to Osama Bin Laden, he will kill himself by suicide bombing in 2012 undecided

Both sides have very strong points, Sometimes it is better to err on the side of caution though. So if you all decide to remove NL, I agree.

Orikinla:
Buhari and Bakare are the only ones in the race who have the balls and guts to deal with the issues at stake, CORRUPTION, SECURITY and ENERGY. Mr. Jonathan and Sambo have shown that they cannot fight corruption and they cannot secure lives and properties in Nigeria.

Majority of those supporting Jonathan do not know the gravity of what is at stake. If you ask them what the issues are, they cannot address them. They will be mentioning the plans of their GEJ, but unfortunately the only issue he has addressed is his plan on energy, but he has no plans on how to tackle corruption and security. In fact, corruption and insecurity are now worse under GEJ.

The Amnesty programme is a billion dollar scam and the CIA, MI5/MI6, MOSSAD and NATO know  that the Amnesty deal has not stopped the illegal trade by oil pirates valued at $20 million daily. Majority of those posing and posturing as beneficiaries of the Amnesty programmes were not the real militants.

Only fools can be fooled by GEJ and his godfathers who want to use him as their political trump card to deceive the ignorant electorate to get their mandate so that they can perpetuate their corrupt rule in Nigeria. Because, the election of Buhari and Bakare will end their evil reign from Abuja to the Niger Delta. Why were they after James Ibori who was once one of their chief sponsors?

It is a pity that the misinformed supporters of GEJ have been politically hypnotized by the campaign strategists of GEJ who are using the advantage of the power of incumbency to use the national media and other government tools for their political propaganda.

Mr. Ben Bruce of the Silverbird Group owes  the establishment of his STV to former President Olusegun Obasanjo who did a lot for him through the late Stella Obasanjo. herefore, Chief Obasanjo who is the godfather of GEJ is responsible for the mutual agreement between Ben Bruce and GEJ and Both of them are from the same Bayelsa State where Silverbird Group has properties and investments. OBJ, GEJ and Ben Bruce are partners with mutual interests.

Ben Bruce is the brain behind the mobilization of Nigerian entertainers to support GEJ.

The $200 million loan facility for the entertainment sector was a stage managed campaign strategy that was not in the budget. They can fool the ignorant masses with all their political shenanigans, but they cannot fool GOD.
Thank you Orikinla, Keep telling them the Truth!

^^Dude, You can pick whatever you like from Voltaire's legacy, You cannot belittle his work as a critic who spoke truth to power and challenged the "Establishment" status quo of his time.

I understand your point, but you don't know if the people offering criticism here on Nairaland are all talk, or do you?

Anyway, I already made my point bro; He was a critic who got a statue erected in his honour and we are still talking about his work today.

I respect him for his work of literary and political criticism, You probably respect him for his pottery and watch making. It's all good.

Criticism is a noble and essential profession for any society, be it literary, political or religious criticism. Let us agree to disagree.

Proactive people do not waste time on the problem. It really doesnt matter whose fault it is, what matters is that the problem is solved and it doesnt happen again.

In a good setup, you are free to fail ( grin) because the fear of failure doesnt allow for progress. If anybody cannot criticise constructively and try to proffer solutions then there should be no point listening to such a person.

After all there is no country in the world that has erected a statue for a critic.

Make your governors and all public officials swear by Ogun, Sonponna and Sango during their swearing in ceremony. Give them a good Sigidi to hold whole swearing and place it on each of their tables as a reminder, they must pour libation to it every morning.

They must touch their pen to the Sigidi and strike it on their foreheads before signing government checks, contracts or laws.

Do those things and more, and you will reduce corruption and looting, thereby improving your economy.  cool

Reading this thread just reminded me of something, I used to work in Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, that was in 2009 and I remember that on several materials etc in the hospital, PTF logo was present on them. It is noteworthy that even 10yrs after PTF, we were still relying on stuffs provided by Buhari's PTF to save lives.
That is a testament to the legacy of Muhammadu Buhari, a Nigerian like you. It is also an indictment of the Last 12 years of PDP rule. Vote them OUT!! Support Buhari/Bakare.
