Without sentiments, I think Zouma and Christensen are just average players like Drinkwater and co. No near top level quality. They've been given fair chances but they do nothing out of the ordinary. Tactically they're average and we've seen these lapses over the years.

No van dijk caused it. You are talking in hindsight because he didn't flop. At the time of the transfer he was not even top5 CB in the league so that amount was outrageous which opened the flood gate for defenders.
