Well i checked the manga, hardly saw what was happening, can u explain it to me. however let's say u were right, kakazu, yahinko and the 3rd raikages bodies were still intact after they got hit...so it's quite sensible to assume that a character who can withstand slashes and hit from junchirikis for a living is quite capable of handling the rasenshuriken. He won't die...that for sure.

Feraz: You talk like Naruto knew the kind of foe he was facing. Someone who had no idea of what the rinnegan is till he was facing the person. You're also complaining about adding natural jutsus to rasengan but you forget it is an incomplete A-ranked jutsu that if any elemental jutsu is added to it, it becomes complete. What do you think grant people powers if not their emotions about particular things being desired then? See Sasuke. Dude went to Orochimaru cos of his desire for revenge on Itachi. Naruto worked hard cos he wants the village to recognise him. Sasuke's susanno developed during his battle with Danzou cos of his hatred and wanting his revenge on Danzou. Hinata got an upgrade cos she got tired of Naruto saving her despite being a genius from the Hyuga clan. There are so many examples.

He had power he had help, not jux any help, sages, who had fought pain b4 and he had even newer intel. in battle that can make u win with a higher possibility. If he did it alone den i would have agreed with u. Sasuke went to orochimaru, trained hard and learnt forbidden jutsus, that is sensible. Naruto using mixing natural chakra with a bijuu dama however, is jux an a.s.s pull. Next tym he'll be mixing it with his food and be making clothes with them. Everything is jux convenient for him, bar his personal life. The case about his susanoo was already explained, even itachi said for him to hate him more so he cud mature his eyes. The eyes get stronger as the user builds up hatred. Hinata got an upgrade? Dude she matured, jux like every other ninja. She was no genius either. She was a disappointment to her father and clan.

As for Hidan's case, he had an encounter with the guy and also had days to strategise before facing him again, and even with that, it wasn't enough to take down both Akatsukis while Naruto had no time strategise against Pain, just intels that were passed to him in the middle of his fight Pain..I honestly don't believe you're comparing Hidan to Pain. And besides, Kishi gave Shikamaru the highest IQ in the anime and it augurs well with you, he made Naruto the focal point of the anime and you're crying foul? No kid had it as tough as Naruto growing up and you don't blame Kishi for that..but when he gets upgraded, Kishi this Kishi that...

kishi wrote him as an intelligent character so i expect intelligence from him...any deviation jux for the sake of the main character wont be tolerated.

Naruto was written as such and believe me, i sympathised with the guy. Cried when he did and laffed when he did. But then it got boring because it became the reason for upgrades in power. Last chapter is the biggest piece of junk ever. ''oh now u can mix natural jutsu with a bijuu dama.... with explanation even the main character can't swallow, and i'm supposed to swallow that. The upgrades are waaaay too much. If sasuke gets an upgrade, i'm done with this manga.


When u're a character who has had upgrades in rasengan, sage mode, a whole army of frogs, two of the being sages as well and intel, i expect better from u facing pain than the character who only has his shadow binding and intelligence, and with a depleted chakra pool facing a character who defeats junchirukis., one on one. And even then strategies aren't sure wins like kakazu thought him. His execution was perfect with hidan, however. Besides the two sages knew what worked and what did not against pain, thats why they came with the reinforcement they did in order to compliment pain's power((guess pain as too strong). We can't assume that they didn't strategise cos they didn't immediate warp themselves to the field after the news got to them.


Edit-if u agree that he was chosen for his leadership qualities, why then do u argue? He lost his fight didn't he? Did naruto not win? Shudn't naruto have been made a chuunin? I mean he won his fight. Irrespective of the way the exam ended, one was made a chuunin and the rest weren't. Goes to show u.

Naruto has saved everyone's asses twice in this war while Shikamaru keep drawing blank with his so-called high IQ. Shikamaru managed to beat Hidan who's arguably the most useless of the Akatsuki while Naruto has taken down the likes of Nagato and Kakuzu. Yamato saving Naruto in the fight against Kakuzu just go to show that he aint as perfect as you claim Kishi painted him to be.

In the mission to save sasuke shikamaru he was their leader cos he was a rank ahead of them. He was made chuunin cos he made the right decisions while naruto fought and fought jux so he cud be recognised. shikamaru lost and was still made chuunin, end of story. What happened the next year was a non issue cos we're talking about that very chuunin exam
Naruto faced kakazu with others, jux like with pain, not alone. Shikamaru handled hidan alone. Make of it what u may but hidan is an immortal so he can afford to be stupid. The way he even drew him away was jux brilliant. Work of art.
Shikamaru complains but even sakura admits he holds everyone's life dear to his heart. He refused the guardian offer jux so he cud be close to those he loved and protect them. U don't seem to know him quite well. His whinning is jux a front, when it comes to the real deal, he steps up.

And yes, shikamaru will definitely draw blanks. I mean how else do u expect kishi to make naruto look good. Smart a.s.ses need to look dumb. naruto failed to retrieve sasuke too. shikamaru got them out of their first predicament in that mission. Naruto has to shine sometym... He is the main character...others need to look bad for him to look gud. That's what kishi does. Dumb everyone down and make naruto look gud. Shikamaru is wanted as a guardian for a reason. He's dat gud. wars are won by soldiers like him, short lived victories won by soldiers like naruto. Know this.

Bros, once upon a time that kid couldn't even make a bunshin. He couldn't throw a kunai. He couldn't do sums. He couldn't do anything except scream how he was going to become hokage. He's not 17 yet and he's standing almost shoulder to shoulder with Shodaime (well, in a manner of speaking). I always make it a point to judge Naruto by his current level of development rather than his past feats because he grows in battle.

I already mentioned how he has the most annoying brain farts but have also made clear that even that does not take away from his battle-worthiness. Shikamaru is the smartest ninja alive, no doubt of that, but I would like to see anyone place a bet on him in a fight with Naruto. He's not God, you know. Yes yes yes, I know Naruto isn't either. What makes Naruto something is the fact that he grows in battle. You fight him, you better kill him dead, one slipup on your part could mean your end, that's who Naruto is. Dumb as a cow, but smarter than Shikamaru.

How fast do you think Naruto was at figuring out how to get out of that barrier? How much smarter do you think he's gonna get? The guy is, like you said, getting there. Shikamaru, Itachi and Kakashi, even Sasuke, have him well beat in intellectual ability ordinarily, but he keeps showing that he's worth more than them in battle. When he matures, I'd like to hear your argument again.

Yes, he's all passion and craziness, but Naruto is one of the battle-smartest Shinobi in this manga You really wanna debate that? He's the sort of guy that, in my own coinage, thinks on his feet. He tests things because he can't be bothered to merely think them through. He can't think up a strategy until he's in a fight but when he's in one, Shikamaru would come a distant second to him in smarts. I kid you not.

Ihedinobi: I'll admit that there are quite a number of plot holes in the story but you must allow for he fact that this is a large story. By that I mean that it's a story that isn't attempting to follow only one route. The story may be about one particular character but it tends to develop various lesser characters and explore nearly every tangent almost at will. Therefore many parts of it overlap. At those points of overlap we find our plot holes mostly involving power-ups. When the layers are unravelled we're likely to find sensible explanations for some of the "silly" power-ups we keep seeing. Some however are almost self-explanatory, like how Naruto all of a sudden could do the rasengan with one hand (well, he had to eventually get the hang of it and some skills keep developing until some crisis of some sort forces them to manifest at their finest without much conscious thought or preparation for them).

Regardless, the story itself is centered around the Japanese culture of self-improvement. It's all about getting better and better, continuing to work hard at what you do and everyday excel yourself. Such a story possesses great tendency to exaggerate growth to inspire its readers. Allow for that too in your criticism. Naruto is a very Japanese story very much unlike Bleach, for instance, although Bleach simply tried to market Japan to the world incorporating German-sounding names, Hispanic personalities, hip concepts and whatnot.

Admitted. Especially the part about naruto being japanese and bleach or any other employing the western style...names etc. For that i salute kishimoto.

Naruto had intel, yes, my friend, he did. Between the gem that Jiraiya-dono left scratched on Pa's back and Pa's own eyewitness account, quite a bit of intel on Pein's powers was available to help anybody taking him on.

Yes, if Jiraiya-dono had all that intel before battling Pein, there's a good chance he might have won or at the very least taken out all six Peins. However, let's put Naruto in Jiraiya's place. No previous intel, he's scouting. He encounters an enemy just like Jiraiya did. Now, you tell me, what's the first thing Naruto would do? What would all his first moves be for? Do you suppose that Naruto would have lost that fight too?

Yep. Just like he was being molested by edo tensei pain. Pain is too overwhelming and his power...too mysterious.

Ihedinobi: @bolded: I disagree o. I don't think it's too much. Kisame could take on Hachibi + Bee with Samehada. The Sharingan increases in strength (winsh tinz na) with increasing hatred and can take control of Bijuu in addition to being able to manipulate reality and summon a monster like the Susano'o. That can take on a Kyuubified Shinobi. Kakuzu + Hidan could take down the Two-Tails (was it?). I think it's a question of skill. The Kyuubi could as easily be a disadvantage to Naruto as an advantage. His worth as a Shinobi shows in how he relates to and uses the Kyuubi.
