So I came home with my love. We have been  for a good time and it had been love, and all love. Getting the back of each other, we were there together in the sunshine and when it got a little bit windy.
I
Good afternoon father. Here is Gbade, the man I want to marry.

Gbadeyan
I greet you father.

Father
(He ignores) Where is the man?

I
The man standing by my side. He is the one I have always talked about. So loving and caring.

Father
Are you out of your mind?

I
Not at all father, my mind is clear.  I have always tell you of a man taking care of me.

Father
This one?

I
This one that is blind, this one that stinks, this one that is less of human or what?

Father
That has hunch back.

I
So what?

Father
So he can't be my in-law.

I
I have accepted him to be my husband. He has hunch back, not hunch brain, he is an employer's of labour. Not hunch purse, he is financially mature. Not hunch emotion, he can handle issues. He is not hunch down there, we have been there, he is a man.

Father
Which man, don't tell me you been there? What would people say?

I
I have been there, it has been wild. Who are the people that are more important than me in my life, Don't I have the self right to make the choice of what makes me happy. I don't damn care.
Father.

I care.

You are not me, are you? Human are the doom of others. Assuming I bring in here a man without hunch back but hunch brain, hunch attitude, you would smile and welcome him. But this one has all I want and I decide to look beyond the back, there is no going back. It is my personal choice.

Father
This one?

I
You and the people that think that way are the people who push those with disabilities to the extreme end. Don't a man or woman with disability deserve to love and to be loved. Don't they deserve to have life that just as others do. Should a man not  perfect in his physical look die? That a man don't have same orientation with you, should he leave the world? That  a man is not in same social class, should he run out of life? I have make him my choice.

Father
You made me feel guilty.

I only speak the truth.

Father
What should I do now?

Give us your blessings.

Father
I bless you.

Gbade
I great you.

Father
It shall be well with you.

Literature / Sister Maria by Kindoo: 2:18pm On Jul 25, 2019
Sister Maria was beautiful in her own way. Desirable for those who can recognize true beautiful.  It was not the make up or make over thing. She had the desire of getting married early but things didn’t work out for her as she had thought it – the life of a man and it events is in the hands of God, the master planner, the author of our lives. The fact that she had delay made her become envious of young ones getting married, though she was not too old to be married, she felt she should have done hers in time past. The devil having a place in her by the vice of envy, made her become bitter. She became unhappy when she saw young couples and feel bitter toward them. Instead of thanking God for them,  she seemed to despise them finding reasons to complain about how her God neglected her to favour those who were not as beautiful as she was, those who were not as matured as she was or even financially ready as she was. Well, no one can really question God, beside the life of every one is different from one another.
Bitter Maria remained unmarried for longer time until a visiting pastor saw her zeal in doing the work of God and ministered to her. She was serving God, punctual to church and known by many. If you worship in that church for a month you will definitely know her. She went for counsel  and he prayed for her earnestly because within his short period of visit, he had seen her service to God.   During the course of them prayer Holy Spirit revealed it all.

Pastor
My sister, the Holy Spirit said, the key to your marriage is in your hand. He said you have become bitter in your mind because of what you see as delay, you have allow the bitterness to kill the joy you should have when you see young people get married. The bitterness as also put complains and murmuring in your mouth. All these made the door to remain shut. If you want that which you truly desire you need to let go the bitterness in your mind , stop complaining but give thanks and if you want the joy of marriage, rejoice with those who have.

Sister Maria
Hmm! Thank you sir.

The pastor prayed for her and asked the Holy Spirit to help her change. Not long after her change, the Lord answered her with ideal man and she had joy. Don't allow what you are passing through make you bitter towards God and man. It would go a long way to stop your breakthrough.
Shalom!

Literature / Cry Of A Dad's Pet by Kindoo: 3:03pm On Apr 14, 2019
She waited patiently for dad's return
He had given his promise as usual
"I will be at your end of the year's party"
The day approached, she expected him,
But he didn't come.
A night to the day she cried, "Where is my dad?"
"He will be here"
On the day, she questioned, "Where is my dad. He promised to be here?"
"He will be here"
That is unusual!
Expecting, looking around,
Dad's pet won many prices but dad was not there to cheer.
Why?
"He went on official duty?"
A fat lie!

How do one tell a dad's pet that he was gone?
He had gone up, falling by swords of two enemies while serving his father land.
The first; terrorist in the jungle.
The second; terrorist at home.
The ones who use the powers given to them to devour and destroy the people.
The ones who cared less of what happen to anyone once they are fine.
The ones who have all he power to save but choose to destroy by greed and selfish thoughts.
The ones called leader who had turn power to sword that must suck blood.
They rule in cruelty and fear no God.

Dad's pet never got over it.
Where is dad?
She would get over it with time.
She did not, the vacuum, she could not fill.
Who else can fill the place of a father?
Her life changed
The happy one became unhappy.
The bright one became dull.
Her life really changed to the worry of the mother.
She couldn't help but tell of his death may be it would change the face.
It crushed her heart greatly'
It drains the spirit, giving unloving transformation.
Dad's pet carry the mourn of dad forever.
Never looking nor living the same afterwards.
Adieu father who died an avoidable death.

Then I heard a voice.
There are thousands like this.
Made miserable by death on serving the land.
They go on the mission for the nation in sincerity and truth.
And that was the last time seen as living.
Died with all in them, plunging the lives, hope and joy of many into darkness.

Dears!
Take courage, pick up hope.
Let love fill your heart even though it is hard.
Be strong and happy.
For if you have lost any
God didn't allow you loose all.
Put off the mourning and call for the peace of this land
Call for a change.
So the evil that destroyed the gone
Will not consume you.

It speaks to me.
Of love and compassion embedded in there.
It tells me clearly of the assurance.
It is so loud,
It speaks of trust and belive.
So enchanting,
It speaks of care and compassion.

That is all I can desire.
And as I rise to look at your face,
It is there, boldly written.
What your heart speaks.
Love unending,
Happiness without bound,
Cares forever,
Passion unlimited,
Compassion immeasurable,
Trust without doubt.
I love you dearly

Literature / The Story Of Agnes by Kindoo: 2:47pm On Feb 19, 2019
Agnes is the girl I won’t forget in my life, though she is little now, I know I will see her grow to greatness. She is my niece, daughter of my late sister. She is part of my life and success. Though a small girl, she has her own life story. A pathetic one to think of and it also serves as warning to others.
My elder sister, Joke, grew up standing tall among her equal. She was beautiful, smart and seemed to had it all. She graduated with best grade in her class and had a good job. She was the first child, she was also an ideal example for us that came behind her. She was to the family a priceless jewel, though a woman, my father believed in her. He carried her along in his doings and appreciated her. We also loved her and showed her the respect she commanded. I liked her specially because of the strong trait of success she had. She was my pally and I enjoyed all those, you know. She had big dreams and she was determined to get it done. Sometimes I marvelled at how she intended to do it but to her, there was nothing not possible. I am a diehard fan of her spirit and I tell you over two years she had died now, her spirit lived with me and I don't think it is going to part.
Her life was beautiful and thriving until she got married. There hell seemed to wait for her. Her husband seemed to married her to make a show of her. He stopped her from pursuing her dream and tagged her ‘fool house-wife’. Time to time after that wedding, I could see that the beauty of my sister was fading. Her face looked bored and she seemed to have lost her happiness with the richness of her person draining away. He largely subjected her to domestic violence. She did not hide this but my parents were not ready to take the bold step. They called to the husband and talked to him as if he would change, he did not, he continued in his way. I hated what I saw, I moved to speak to her ‘marriage should not be a do or die. Why must this man kill your dream and kill you’. She responded with words dipicting that she dread what the society would say, the fairness of the society to her ’ you know if you don’t have a husband you will not be honoured, the mockery, the glorious wicked laughter and more' She usually said this as if her life was soley founded on others. What did little boy like me know? I don’t know much but I know that if anything gets to the place of destroying one's life, one must run for one's dear life. If you allow anybody at all to waste your life, while you are gone, he or she will enjoy life on.
An incident happened that almost cost her life, this made her to take her little daughter and run back to the house. My parents did not send her back seeing her wounds and pain. Days after, her husband’s family came to beg. His face was like a sorry cat and the family vowed to take care of her. My father said since he won’t marry her, she should go back to her husband's house. She went back amidst many comments, some thought that he was right, a daughter lives in her husband's house. Others believed that she was going for doom, if he had battered her this way the next would be fatal. As the father wished, she went and the prophecy of doom came to pass.
The news came that sister joke had been rushed to the hospital. Before we got there, she had giving up the ghost. We were all taking aback, she was healthy the last time we checked. She did not have any sickness history. When we got to check, her body was full of bruise. Checking thouroughly, one of her hand was broken and front of her head was not in good shape. What came out my mouth was ‘ He has finally killed her.’ I cried in horror, I was mad I wanted to do something crazy but my father cautioned me. I was actually angry with him as well. He saw the future but refused to do anything about it. He didn't use his power when he could do he had to burry strong daughter. Giving a child into marriage is not death sentence, if the life of your daughter was a stake, take her from it or you bear the brunt. We heard that he actuallyy beat her to stupor and left her to die but for the help of the domestic staff.
Her husband ran away. While we were mourning and taking care of what was there to care of. He went hiding for weeks. What can we do? My parents said they left it to God because of Agnes. Some women right activist were the one who took it up to teach him a lesson, but that glory had been cut short. The most painful part of all is seeing Agnes tell the story some times ' My dad would remove his belt and beat her until she falls to her face. They were always shouting and quarelling. That day he vowed to kill her and gave her to dogs. He beat her until she slipped and knack her head on the step. That was the last time I saw mum. I wish she is here’ She knew the things the father was doing to her mother till death. Agnes lives with us not as happy as other children that got it all. She sometimes seats alone, thinking all the days of war through. Couples should know that they are the first people in their children's lives and they were not there to mar them but to make them. That was what brought Agnes to our house. That is her story, the story of many .

Literature / Do I Need To Spell This Out by Kindoo: 12:21pm On Feb 06, 2019
Haven't you noticed the excitement that lightens my mind anytime I am around you.
The joy that engulfs soul,
The peace that assures my heart,
The tenderness of my kind,
Do I need to spell what it all mean out.

You know how much I had built my life around a woman like you as I conceally say it.
You know how much I promise to take care of the woman with you in view
You know the care and love I have for the woman that suit my heart
And you have forever fit in to my examples
But you feel not to know.

Once and again. I have sent the message but the word didn't give itself for use.
Do I need to spell this out?
If you act so,
It is all about this;
I love you in truth
And I want you to be mine
I promise to treat you right
And give you the care and love up deserve
Please be mine.

Literature / Editing : Syntax And Semantic by Kindoo: 11:58am On Jan 21, 2019
The word 'editing' refers many writers to the grammatical part of it. As a matter of fact, many think editing is all about, correcting the error of grammar, setting punctuation marks right, using capital letter in the appropriate places, checking spelling errors and more. Well they are correct to a good extent but that is not all, though it is an essential part of editing. All things work together for good, the other part that needs editing is the semantics part, the meaning of the story. Let me use this question to help your mind, 'With the way you have written that story, is the meaning truly achieved? The events and chronology, did they all end up giving the story the meaning you intended before picking your pen and paper?
I believe stories are written for definite purposes. You have a message you want to pass across before writing. To fulfil this purpose, you need to edit your story semantic to be sure you are passing the right message both on the surface and on the deep part of it. True to it, when you finish writing a work, it seems all green, telling you to go publish or share. There is nothing wrong with that but there is a reason for one to be sure the meaning is complete and intact, that is, passing the message in your heart.
Just as you want to be sure that your written work is error free grammatically, you also need to be sure that your work as a whole is impacting those reading it both on the surface and deeply. It not ambiguous, confusing, or sparking wrong fire in readers. As a writer who uses the pen, which is mightier than sword, you should know that your work is delicate. It can make or mar, once the meaning is gotten wrong, something would definitely go wrong somewhere. Please take the both side of editing serious. Take the time to balance both to give out a quality work.

Literature / Temple Of Flame by Kindoo: 7:10am On Jan 05, 2019
Temple of flames, altar of eternal destroying fire. Where soul is being sold for wealth. I refuse to worship. I will not bow.
This dry morsel satisfies me, This Lazarus life pleases me, Than preparing for woe of eternity. I will rather at the end sit at the feet of father Abraham, Other than burn in flame file by earthly luxury. I will rather at the end, scott in the gold city, Other than embrace the hero of hell.
But I pray O Lord, bless my work. So before heaven, I will enjoy heaven on earth.

Literature / Thanks To My Father's Cane by Kindoo: 4:59pm On Dec 28, 2018
Thanks to my father's cane
Kudos to my mother's slap
Grateful to the tongue of rebuke.
They all helped to shape me.
And mould me a child of praise.

Back then I thought father hated me.
I wondered,
How would a man love his child and make him feel pain?
Mother countless slap always made me question the love of mother many sing praise of.
The word of truth in rebuke pierce my heart and most times I feel so bad.
I determined not to attract them again but I still did some things wrong.
It bring the pain of cane or piercing rebuke.
But now, I know better.
I thank them all, the tool of moulding.
They sent the message right
I can now pride in the good life so also my parents
It didn't come without pain and cry.

Those who were left without the pain and cry
Are now in tears for rot
In pain for a life not mould on time.
Thank you fathers cane
Kudos to you mother's slap
Grateful to you piercing rebuke.
I won't have been better without you.
