Second bold, Gabon is presumably doing well because she's smaller. It doesn't change the fact that it's a shithole. Assessing countries' economies on per capita basis is quite mischievous esp when the governance systems are dysfunctional.

Again, I reiterate, the vast vast majority of Sub-Saharan Africa is a shithole but francophone Sub-Saharan Africa is a bigger shithole. These are facts and they don't care about your feelings.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) congress in the North-West ended in chaos as persons suspected to be supporters of candidates seeking election into various positions in the zone clashed on Saturday.

The congress covers Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Jigawa, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara States.

The exercise was underway when crisis broke out with thugs who stormed the venue of the congress at the International Trade Fair, Kaduna, destroying items including ballot boxes while members scampered for safety.



The development brought the voting process to an abrupt halt.



However, the PDP has not issued an official statement on the matter.

The Rivers State Government has intercepted a truckload of suspected substandard animal hide, popularly called ponmo, in Onne, Eleme Local Government Area of the state, even as two persons accompanying the truck were arrested.

People commonly use Canda in South South and South East. Ponmo is commonly used in South West. It's apparent the writer doesn't live in the region. Even the Rivers State commissioner called it Canda.
