That 06-07 accord v6 beats 08-12 accord v6 in terms of speed. I’m guessing the 07 accord could have a better power to weight ratio than 08-12. I was very impressed when i drove it, but it has so much body roll and you have to slow down considerably when you approach a curve on the road. All you comparing c280/c300 and 328i with the accord, the accord will be first to 60mph and by the time they reach 90mph, both benz and bmw will begin to catch up, and its over for the honda if the road has even a single curve on it.

You're also forgetting that there's more to a sports car than just raw power. Can never compare FWD cars to a RWD G. The G has almost 50:50 weight distribution, a much heavier steering, and way tighter handling.

There's no manual IS350. Even if there were, the G is still much more engaging to drive.
The 08 TL is a generation behind the G.

The Accord V6 Coupe is solid, though. Very solid powertrain, great interior, great looks. Would be my second choice.

my guy! How u dey now? I’m looking to replace the IS, obviously the G is ahead of all the cars i listed. Right now those 3 cars are what i’m looking at, i will also slightly tune them for more power, i’m thinking an aftermarket exhaust and cold air intake. Now here’s my trouble, the accord and acura seem to be more easier to tune, they just need a larger intake manifold and throttle body from a J37 engine, and you’re looking at at least 15-20 more hp. Swap out the exhaust and that could be an extra 20hp. With this setup both the accord and acura will be able to keep up with the G. I love the looks of the TL, it looks more aggressive than the other two.

which engine is your a4? If it is in a good condition, personally, i would keep it.

Which car would you choose for yourself if you are replacing a Lexus IS350; a 2008 Acura TL Type S, Infiniti G37S Coupe or a 2014 Honda Accord V6 Coupe. All cars will be manual transmissions. I am asking generally, which one would you pick and why?

Just a 2013-15 accord being used for business, LX trim for that matter. Whats the fuss?

I rarely see space to push above 120, where space for Lagos to push mean speed, except at nights from like 10:30 up, but for me though the IS felt a faster, leg to the pedal; booom, it’s off the line, but the c300 feels like it’s trying to play catch-up with my leg

Traveled only once wit the c300 to Ilorin, but my family tagged along to go celebrate, so I had no intention to put their heart through panic from high speeds

Anything above 120/140 in Lagos soon starts feeling like an overkill cos roads are mostly not smooth or straight(pothole ridden state) and cars are way too much on the roads so precaution must be observed

yes, the 2.5liter and 3.0liter engines have this sluggish feeling from the low end, i experienced what you’re describing with my C230. But the moment you reach higher speeds, you’ll experience superior driving dynamics. The 3.5liter engine you find in the “350” models is much more eager to get going from the start.

Reading this your comment makes me want to cry, so I sold my is250 and bought a freaking c300, I’ll say one thing, the c300 is stupidly too slow for my liking, the Lexus felt faster and that gave me an unexplainable joy in my soul anytime I pushed her, the Benz feels more like a truck anytime I want to pull a stunt, but the sale of the is250 was inevitable though, can’t wait to buy me an is350 to replace my sweet passion or best bet for me isf

i’m having trouble believing an is250 is quicker than a c300, maybe on the lower end yes, but anything over 100kmh the benz should begin to get ahead

OK let me explain in a way you will understand: Mercedes are not driven by the corporate/business/serious-minded class. It mostly aligns naturally with entertainment / youthy guys (and fraudstars).

2012-14 C350 is a huge fight, especially the coupe. I believe it can take down both the IS and g35 if the race requires merging and cutting through tight traffic because of its transmission

i was going t there on a little vacation so i made my plan to buy the car there, i bought the car myself from a dealership, contacted a shipping agent and they towed it to the port in new jersey. I picked it up in lagos, cost of shipping from new york to new jersey was $300 and $1000 for shipping.

yes the IS is rather small in size but so is majority of the competition. I got it shipped from abroad.

i have no complaints whatsoever with the IS but mine is a 2012 model. Most important thing you’ve mentioned is that one of these cars will be ur first car. I dont know your financial capacity, but that is a huge factor in making ur decision between the IS350 and the G35, including your knowledge about cars. These are more sophisticated vehicles than your average corolla, especially the G35. They are not economical vehicles whatsoever and i believe you’ve heard how expensive the IS350 engine is incase it fails, put that in mind. If you drive a lot, be ready to spend a lot on fuel. I advice you take a look at IS250, to me, it makes more sense for a first time user.
