Oh wow. Phone tech at it's peak. Hopefully people like us can buy it now
ZesusHVWritter: Please what does it use? I have tried looking for a said video on the use, none seen so far.
Sorry I meant it does uses both, a 2.4 GH band ( a bi-speed transfer ) making it faster than sharing on xender a feature enjoyed by only oppo users. Very innovative. Not sure any phone brand has a better one
joeytrib: Think about it, airdrop works on just iPhones. Its a unique selling point for Oppo too, and Xender still works on Oppo. So its basically to make Oppo to Oppo users find file sharing easier. Brilliant one there! What will be the point of making it for all androids? It defeats the aim, UNIQUENESS
I mean the innovation is so well thought. The fact it doesn't make use of wifi or Bluetooth is applaudable.

The Tecno Pouvoir 3 plus is the new battery king in town. It has a 6,000mah battery that is very impressive.i was able to do 13hrs screen on time with this phone. During my battery drain test, From 8am to 10pm, the screen of this phone did not go off. It was on max brightness and max volume. Watched YouTube for a total of 4hrs, ran antutu stress test for 2hrs, watched IGTV for 2hrs, browsed a bit and this phone was still alive. Not many phones can survive this kind of abuse.
Sweet phone for that price. Oppo is coming strong.
AnonPoet: This Phone is Simple, Sleek Yet Affordable
About two weeks ago, global smartphone brand, OPPO Mobile introduced two new phone models (A1k and A5s) into the Nigerian market with an aim to cater to a segment of Nigerian users that are trendy and practical.
The Technext team has had an early interaction with one of the models, the A1k device, and here is what we think:
The OPPO A1K mobile screen has a 6.1-inch LCD waterdrop (15.49 cm) screen display size with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1560×720 pixels. Compare to the total phone size, that screen size amounts to 87.43% screen-to-body ratio.
This implies that a significant portion (9/10) of the front space has been dedicated to your viewing pleasure and use.
The OPPO A1k comes in two options: Black and Red (we have the red). The back of the phone is a metallic texture design and the phone comes with a transparent pouch that allows you and your friends to savour the beauty even as it is protected.
It runs on Android v9.0 (Pie) operating system coupled with Oppo’s intuitive operation system, the ColorOS 6.0. The graphics look sleek and the navigation, in our experience, was smooth. This points to the power of the processor.
We learned that the device is powered by an Octa-core with 2 GHz as well as a Cortex A53 processor. And, it has a Smart Assistant function that allows you access the important information in the form of a card on the home screen. And, it is quite a machine. It comes with a 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM with the option to expand the memory Up to 256GB (memory card).
It comes with an unremovable battery of 4000 mAh. We learned that this capacity can allow an active use length of up to 17 hours. We were on active review for over 5 hours and the battery actually proved its worth! The only possible con here is that you cannot remove the A1k battery.
The front camera is 5 mega-pixels with an F2.0 aperture capacity. This means that it gets a detailed capture at close range, allows for a blurry background and good for a low light capture as well.
The rear camera is 8 mega-pixels. It has a CMOS image sensor that can support a 3264 x 2448 resolution.
Our Verdict:
Overall, at N44,900, we think the Oppo A1k is a great buy if you want a good phone without breaking the bank.
Thats smart. Huawei and this their plenty wahala now sef
Me sef make i do buy my own OPPO .
temiregiddy: if you want durable battery, and some other mad features just go for OPPO. huawei will soon be banned from using play store if they don't settle their issue with US
Bravo oppo! Oppo sef don dey hot o. Cheap phone to capture the market gradually. I see wetin una do there.
OEPHIUS: Oppo recently released two smartphones, the Oppo A5s and Oppo A1k into the Nigerian market.
According to the company, both phones are cheaper than its debut Oppo F11 Pro and hopes to cater to users looking to own the brand at a cheaper cost.
The Oppo A5s has the most specifications of both devices launched, so here are pictures and details on this smartphone.

Price Official retail prices of the Oppo A5s in Nigeria are ₦53,900 for a 3GB+32GB variant and ₦69,900 for its 4GB+64GB counterpart.
First Impressions:
After a few uses, here are my quick impressions of this smartphone.
The A5s has a sleek build and an efficient grip that is synonymous with Oppo smartphones. Together with its plastic casing, the Oppo A5s clocks a surprising 194g on the scale considering a supersized battery.
This is lighter than the 222g of the Oppo F11 Pro that carries a 4,000 mAh battery. And makes the A5s easier to carry around. The battery is very powerful.
Looking at the 1st 5 smartphones brand LeEco is never one of them. If you monitor the market share you notice Oppo have said to be a major threat to infinix and tecno. And my broda they didn't mention LeEco
maasoap: Oppo is on different level but it has little to nothing market share in Nigeria. It's just being introduced into the Nigeria market. We've been placing orders for LeEco since early last year. That's fact. Oppo is a leading brand worldwide but these two phones recently introduced into the Nigeria market are over priced when compared with their specs. N70,000 phone with SD 450 in almost year 2020! Haba!
greychris: I created this thread so OPs who have bought this phone can share their good and experiences. I recently laid my hand on an OPPO phone after all the hype I’ve been seen on Big Brother and I must say that it is really different from what I am used to. As a sharp Naija boy, I love my specs and of course, my budget no too gallant like that. Anyhow, I ordered one of the mid-range OPPO phones from Jumia, A5s to be precise and here is my review:
Price 6/10 There were two options 3+32GB and 4+64GB at N54k and N69k. I definitely went for the bigger version. My storage and RAM are not up for negotiation. I wouldn’t say it is a cheap phone but for the quality, the price is quite okay.
Display 8/10 I really like the fact that the screen is big and the display resolution is not bad. A 720x1520 pixel on a 6.2-inch screen for the price is not bad at all. Especially when you realize that the screen is made from corning gorilla glass. The phone is rugged and big enough to enjoy my video games and Netflix. Also, the A5s has this special eye protection mode that prevents eye-aches when using the phone in the midnight.
Appearance & Design 7/10 I love the curves on this baby. The phone looks finer than the cost actually and there is no way I’m ever putting a pouch on it. It is surprisingly comfortable to hold in the hand even though it is rather on the big side and the sleekness can be spotted from afar. My only problem with it is that the body is made of some plastic-like material which is not bad but I just wished it came with a metallic body design. The phone is scratch proof and also very light, guess that is why OPPO used that material.
Camera 8/10 After seeing the N139k OPPO F11 Pro, I was thinking the camera on the OPPO A5s will be bad but truth is, it is not far off. It doesn’t have that rising camera though but the picture quality is actually very good. I personally have not seen any phone below 70k with a better camera than this OPPO A5s. It even takes pics in wide-angle mode.
Here are the specs in jargons: 13MP,f/2.2,AF + 2MP, f/2.4, depth sensor, with LED flash, HDR, panorama features!!!), selfie camera- (8MP, f/2.0 with HDR feature).
Battery Life and Performance 10/10 This phone’s battery is DOPE. Once I charge my A5s in the morning before leaving home, I don’t need to charge it all day until I come back. The battery is very big and also doesn’t drain fast at all. The 4230mAh battery lasts me over 24 hours even with heavy gaming and video calls.
Overall Rating 7.8/10 The phone doesn’t hang or get hot too. In fact, I always tell anyone that cares to listen that this OPPO is actually very good. Once I hold small bar, I’m upgrading to the F11 Pro. That phone is a beast
Where are my other OPPO A5s users, share your reviews and let’s relate.
I never knew oppo have affordable phone. I feel Oppo A5s is better than the xiaomi note 7. Thankz for this review...

Lagos a.k.a Lasgidi, the City of Grind is truly a city like no other. From the chaos of the black and yellow buses to the trading happening in almost every corner you turn to. From the beautiful architecture that defines the scenery of the city to the ever-angry sun that won’t stop shining. From the colourful tail lights from the traffic jam during rush hour to the rising smoke from suya and sharwama spots at night; Lagos is indeed the city that never sleeps.
It appears everyone is always in a hurry. In a hurry to get to work and back, in a hurry to hang out and party with friends. Even when relaxing, it seems the time is in a hurry too.
Smartphone brand OPPO mobile, in collaboration with celebrity photographer, Anny Robert, decided to embark on a photography project to show what people are up to when the sun goes down in Lagos.
The concept was simple; Anny Roberts took us on an amazing photo-series journey through the lives and times of young Lagosians, leading different lives in their diverse activities from 8 pm to 1 am in Lagos, using the amazing 48+5MP camera of the OPPO F11 Pro as the official photography instrument.
OPPO claims the F11 Pro can comfortably replace the average DSLR when they launched and they attempted to prove this. Here are a few pictures that were taken with the F11 Pro smartphone camera (without filters or edits):
According to the Public Relations Manager of OPPO Nigeria, Joseph Adeola, OPPO is committed to delivering world-class products that solve the problems of the average Nigerian. Quality and standards will never be compromised, he emphasized.
Anny Robert also admitted amidst beaming smiles that, “What is most impressive is the fact that this photo series proves the brilliant portrait in low light claim of the OPPO F11Pro to be true, as it exceeds all expectations of a phone and competes conveniently with my DSLR”.

Chinese original equipment manufacturer (OEM), OPPO Mobile at the weekend in Lagos, said it decided to come into the country because of the stability in the foreign exchange (forex) market and the country’s youthful population.
It said any brand willing to play in the global space must open shop in the country.
The firm launched its 2019 flagship devices, the OPPO F11 Pro and the OPPO F11 Pro Avengers limited edition in Lagos at the weekend in line with Marvel Studios partnership.
Its Marketing Director, Lily Wang, had said though the firm is a little bit late in coming to the country, she is optimistic that the quality of its products will satnd it out in the local market having remained on the number four slot in global smartphone market.
She said: “Yes, it is true that we are coming late to Nigeria because the exchange rate, the economic situation, in the past three years have not been so nice. Nigeria is a big market because Nigeria has 200 million population which makes her the most important country, the biggest in West Africa. Also, Nigeria has a rich culture, rich entertainment, music, Nollywood. Nigeria is the centre of attraction for any brand willing to play on the global stage. That made OPPO to come to Nigeria.
“But this year, the economy has improved, especially the exchange rate has become stable. Over the years too, we have seen improvement in the economy. So we think now is the right time to come to Nigeria.”
Addressing guests on the occasion, its Marketing Manager, OPPO Mobile Nigeria, Nengi Akinola, said the firm’s drive is to always deliver products with superior quality, high standard and ‘many firsts’.
With the speculative launch of global smartphone giant OPPO Mobile into the Nigeria, a lot of assumptions have been made into the possible release of its 2019 flagship device – the OPPO F11 Pro.

Performance The OPPO F11 Pro delivers reliable performance, powering it is an Helio P70 chipset together with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It also comes with a 4000mAh battery capacity, to ensure that you’re always in power.
