Education / Re: Anambra To Close 486 Exam Miracle Centres by kingingkinging: 10:18am On Jul 22, 2014
BuddahMonk: Waiting for some tigerclawed faces to converged...when you check the quality of people Anambra turn out every year you will know that its not a fluke and malpractise have nothing to contribute, Anambra dont produce certificated graduates, our education is of quality not quantity that is why for every Achebe that died 100 Chimamandas are born, for every Jerome Udoji and Okigbo that died 100 Soludos are there to fill the vaccum, for every Dike that died 100 Oby Ezekwesilis are born, so malpractise have nothing to contribute because those dumbass students that were aided by mechineries most of the times find it very difficult securing admission.

If you think miracle centres only exist in Anambra, just give me 24hrs let me walk down to Akute and Oko Aro, every 2poles you pass there is a miracle center begging you to enrol.

I thank the ANSG for trying to stamp out examination malpractices in our education sector, we dont want to be embarrased parading a minister who said Nigeria is blessed with plenty mineral resources like coke and fanta or giving the world a minister for education who bombarded our ears with "can be able".

My honourable commissioner God bless you, hide no evil.
Some deranged minds will think your washing your dirty linen in public but dont mind them, we are all Nigerian so we know how hypocritical we are.

You see yourself? What your people were doing championed by your Peter Obi before now, was nothing but disaster about to happen. Little wonder why your people are few in certificates and professional programmes like ICAN, ACCA, CFA, etc.

You have brought corruption to every sphere of life just because you want to meet up with SW, forgetting that who God has blessed no man can curse.

All over the world, Western areas are more civilized- America and Europe are ahead of the Eastern people. It is well with you.

Thank you OP.

I believe every reasonable person, sentiments of religion and ethnicity apart, will pick Aregbesola 100 times over Omisore.

If merit is allowed, it will be a landslide success for Aregbesola but...... the way our people chickened out in Ekiti and cast a rebellious vote against Fayemi was frightening and inconceivable.

Aregbesola all the way.

It pains me when we still believe we have a president or a commander in chief of the armed forces in Nigeria.

What we have now is a thief in office.

the last time we had a leader was under Yar' adua, when strategic actions were taking without be goaded from outside Nigeria.

Actions like:

1. Reversal of VAT from 10% to 5%;

2. Amnesty for Niger-Delta militants;

3. Railways road map;

4. revocation of the sold refineries;

and other Seven point agenda.

under Obasanjo,

1. terrorism was controlled people like Asari were behind the bar.

2. There was employment because graduates from universities with Second Class upper and lower were changing jobs especially banking jobs.

3. Manufacturers were making money due to good economic policies like banning some products we could produce locally;

4. Debts were partly cancelled and the balance was paid off.

5. Foreign Reserve was increasing.

etc.

Today, we can not sleep freely again.

1. Security - Zero;

2. Employment- zero ;

3. External debt- increasing;

4. foreign reserve - depleting;

5. Morale - down.

A failed leadership.

Dear friend, your statement up there is not detailed and as a result you might not be adequately advised if the adviser is the one doing the thinking for you.

Confidence in doing what?

Facing women, doing job interview, writing exams, or in general terms?

Also how old are you and what is your exposure level. These among other things will determine the advice you need.

However, in all, you can have a big dream but start small.

If you want to meet the president later in the year, start meeting the elders in your neighborhood now. You want to do job interview? Prepare adequately and be asking your brothers or friends to be asking you some questions that you have prepared for. You want to date a lady, start from friendship level with other ladies or same lady in question.

That is my little cent.

angiemartinez: ok it started on sunday which was supposed to be our 1yr anniversary, he planned going out on a date to unwind and all of that. so he was told to come to work dat day. i called about 4.00pm and he said he just left site and was in d office already which means dey were alredy tru.

he told me he will join me shortly, waited till 5.00pm i called him and he busyd my call. called again at 5.30pm he busyd my call agn. he does dis wen he is in a place he cant explain to me, so i was already angry cos i knew probably he was drinking which has always being an issue. i just hate d smell of alcohol

he came back by 6.10pm and true to my assumption, that awkward smell of alcohol. he tried to apologise i was so angry and told him i wasnt going anywere again.

he too became angry dressed up and left d house at about 7.30pm, and came back at about 10.03pm with more smell of alcohol.

woke up on monday morning, called for devotion he did not come, greeted him with no reply, told him dere was no food he did not answer and he left for work. he came back i greeted him, he did no respond.

woke up on tuesday, called for devotion he did not come out, greeted him he did not respond, i told him dere was no food, he droped money on d bed and left. he came back, i greeted him, he did not respond, i was relly pissed now, so i served his food and went to my room to sleep.

woke up on wedsday morning, i was too angry to pray, i did not boda greetn him, and i left for work. waited for him to till 11.00pm he did not come, so i called, only for him to tell me travelled to site. with d anger i insulted him badly. it was really bad i no, dont no wen his going to come back. buh seriously am pissed.

overlook any error, i just dey vex seriously

Madam. The two parties share the blame but this is not a forum for judgement verdicts to be declared. The primary purpose of this is for restoration of peace and tranquility to be achieved in your home. Please take the following steps:

1. Call him again and if he doesn't pick, send sms showing your remorse and penitence;

2. Let him realize you are at peace with him. Note that every sane and rational man can fall for the gimmicks of his wife provided it is well executed by her.

3. When he comes back apologize but let him also know the root of your anger (to make him avoid it next time)

If all these fail, let a respected person know about the development, there is no wrong in involving a 'godly person' . This is dangerous though and should be the last resort.

4. Ultimately, the last but not the list action is taking his drinking habit to God in prayers and your family as a whole to God in prayers.

NB. Why did you hide the line

Sports / Re: Germany Vs Argentina: World Cup Final (1 - 0) On 13th July 2014 by kingingkinging: 10:10am On Jul 10, 2014
hobermener: What's the hype about this overrated argentine all about. He's Been in barcelona all his life, he has no idea what life outside barca is like. Ronaldo has seen it all in england and in spain. He thrives everywhere he finds himself, and that's one hallmark of an exceptional player. Messi was favoured by barca @ the 2010 ballon dior saga and this time messi should be an "all time great" simply because he's on the verge of lifting his first and possibly only world cup(that's if they narrowly excape the german machines). Pele has over a thousand goals and messi is still struggling to reach the 500 goal mark, yet messi should be an all time great, how ridiculous!!! Ronaldo put up a less than stellar performance simply because he has injury problems, and that doesn't make messi any better than him. Scoring against inexperienced and weak teams like iran bosnia and nija, and unconvincingly making it to the finals should not make messi an 'ALL TIME GREAT' should he lift the trophy or not. Gbam!!!

There you go again.

It baffles me how you people will see the truth and prefer falsehood over it. By all standards, everyone that watches Messi with a plain and unbiased mind knows that he is better than Ronaldo- Dribbling, passing, footwork, etc. Save for Ronaldo's height that enables him in nodding may be Eminike would have even be better than him,lol. Messi has won under 20 world cup with Argentina and Olympics Gold with Argentina even before his revelation in Barcelona, Pls what is your Ronaldo's record in those two categories and other areas. Ronaldo that plays what we used to call 'on the run' in primary school. Kick and follow football- no skill, no reflex, no manoeuvrings, just shots.

Before now, most of Messi's critics have always be asking when he will help his country to world cup finals, now he is there and your excuse is even if he lifts the trophy on Sunday he wont be the 'All time great' what else do you want from him? 4 consecutive Ballon D'or, you said it was manipulated,3 champions' league trophies and 7 Semi finals in a row. Please what will you call the last Ballon D'or that was extended for 2 weeks to favour C. Ronaldo?

WHo God has blessed, no man can curse. Pls leave our jewel- Messi.

WHY DO YORUBAS ALWAYS LOVE USING FIRST THIS AND THAT BUT ALL LIES....SO BEFORE THIS SO CALLED HOSPITAL WE NO GET DIALYSIS AND RENAL CENTER

FIRST KOR SECOND NII

Please face the writer with fact to prove him wrong .

The expression up there is not sufficient to prove him wrong until you come up with fact.

You dont like the Yoruba people to always claim the first but your leaders have not developed the balls to claim that position hence the Yoruba that you detest will still be claiming the first:

Below is the list of the first traceable to Yoruba that I know of:

1. The first University- U I;
2. The first secondary school- CMS Lagos;
3. First sky scrapper- Cocoa House;
4. First television station in Africa- NTA ( WNTV the)
5. First Stadium- Onikan Stadium
6. First International stadium- Liberty Stadium ( Now Obafemi Awolowo Stadium)
7. First regional University- University of Ife ( Now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife)
8. First Nobel Laurette in Africa- Prof Wole Soyinka;
9. First Woman to drive a car- Funmi Kuti;
10. First woman to own a car- Madam Tinubu
11. First Nigerian to win grammy Award (woman)- Sade Adu
12 first male Nigerian to win Grammy Award-Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel aka Seal;

etc.

I am tired of listing, they are as many as you can think of. It touches every sector, please deal with it.

superstar1: they like using the words ''first in this and first in that''.

what were they looking at, when others were achieving their presumed firsts. grin grin grin

They were mentally sleeping then.

It takes a high level of intelligence coupled with progressive thinking to initiate a new thing where salaries payment only is the tradition of the entire polity.

Kudos to my people - from the ever indefatigable Awolowo to the irrepressible Fashola who have made 'the first' to be synonymous to us from the North of the Limpopo to the South of the Sahara.

Jobs/Vacancies / Job For A Qualified Accountant In Lagos Or Ogun State by kingingkinging: 4:47pm On May 27, 2013
Dear Nairalanders,

Pls I have this male friend that was in the north before, precisely Borno State, due to on-going insurgence he has decided to relocate to the West i.e any of Lagos, Ogun or Oyo State but most likely Lagos due to job availability as all the economic activities have become paralyzed over there.

He is a qualified accountant with over-5 years experience, he has BSc Accounting and he is also has MBA specialising in Finance and Accounting.

I have been trying to look around for him before I remembered this forum. Pls anyone who has a good offer either as an accountant or a business manager can forward such to oluwafolafunmilove@gmail.com Thank you.

What else do you expect from a State in Yoruba land, do u expect Igbo incantation? Or urhobo incantation? even in Lagos you hear Radio o Lagosi, tiwan tiwa mi titi, mo n rin lo ni titi, etc.

He should set up his bigger plants in the eastern region and use lagos as his annex.
The country is hanging on the brink on division,and anything can happen.
He should apply wisdom.

What is your fear? Even if Nigeria breaks, does that now mean all the investment from other tribes in Lagos would be lost? NAAAAAAA. Don't even think Lagos is Lafia or Ibadan is Abia. We are not like that. After all, Nigerians have investments in far away Ghana, Togo, Gambia, London, so why panic?
