I have never said I was an exemption nor smart YET! I have made my point and a real Nigerian man agreed when I said there is a difference between being smart and educated. Hugeeee difference.

One of your airhead Nigerian brother said because women don't discuss topics like politics and sports...they aren't smart. I have stated just because Nigerian girls do not regurgitate politics and sports doesn't make them dumb. Everyone don't like the same topics and therefore will not share similar interests.

If a man can't converse intelligently about ballet doesn't make him dumb just means he is not interested nor knowledgeable about ballet which has nothing to do with his intellect.

If you guys can beat your chests about being smarter than Nigerian girls...I can say Chinese men are smarter than Nigerian men.

You haven't proven anything for Nigerian men while you pointing fingers! Keep holding your breath until you no longer see light!

I hate to point it out, but that is totally BS. Guys have come out here with their opinions of grandiose proportions, they've been hailed and their words are taken as law. I point out that your B Maths lecturer's inability to correctly determine her Cardinal points, does not determine all women's abilities.

Then I get asked to prove how rain is made from evaporated water and condensation because you can not believe that simple point? Does that not prove the absurdity of your question?

The others just peep, read and leave. cry
That says a lot. The few ones that commented only made statements such as "I am an exemption" or "I am smart" etc.

They couldn't type few lines to argue their case and the one who has been rambling since, has been totally off point. I am yet to see where she makes a valid case for the Nigerian Ladies.

Nope, they desultorily and surreptitiously avoid the recurring fact that they aren't intellectual as males- much to my chagrin. Instead, even the intelligent ones amongst them will result to standing on their point and not able to be convinced about an obvious fact because of feminine ego. Males are superbly intelligent; ranging from politics, science and technology, law-upkeep, government. We also know how to break the walls of a mighty feminist if we intend to do so. A male doesn't need an advise from folks or magazine before having an idea of how to handle a relationship. Its high time you lady's acquiesce yourself to the fact that we are highly superior intellectually and we need competitions from the females for those having doubt.

You provide me proof that Nigerian males are smarter than Nigerian girls simply because they don't regurgitate politics and sports!

You should know slavery ended 300 hundred and some years ago right? Just saying! Furthermore, Chinese men are farrrrrrr smarter than the above average Nigerian males. lipsrsealed
Miss Chima!!

All I see in your arguments and all your posts are just a total digression from the topic.

You haven't been able to give any substantial point to disprove that Nigerian Men are more intelligent than the Nigerian ladies.

The only thing you have been able to do thus far is to compare Men with different backgrounds, race, skin colour, culture, etc

Taking that digression with you, would it be valid for me to also say that Chinese women are more intelligent than Nigerian women?

At the emboldened, what's your criteria for making such assumption? Has there been a survey or a compiled scientific report to prove this?

Its just like saying "Jollof rice is the best food in the world and that's a fact". In doing so I haven't proven anything and I have only made a statement based on nothing.

Nicely put. A lot of women keep suggesting that men keeps objectifying them as a sexual tool. But the truth is, women have sexually objectified themselves more than what men may have contributed in that regard. Most of them are only interested in any thing that will make them appear more appealing to men than anything else. And this is a largely contributing factor to why they are only interested in any topic that is about sexiness, fashion and what not.
Exactly!!!

Now that's where you missed the point bruv!! The ist para of my comment already explains why I didn't lay so much emphasis. Although I still don't get how you define "Correct emphasis".

I only gave diff point of views which are just based on logical reasoning and wouldn't be enough to categorically state that Men are more knowledgeable.

I stay in lagos and I listen to radio a lot.

There are some intelligent and educative programs I listen to and I rarely find ladies making contributions.
There is this particular night show~ Chat station with Nelly on Nigeriainfo 99.3 that I really love.
You find out that 95% of the contributions are made by men.

Why is all this so?. Is it that ladies are scared to share their opinions or they just aren't as wise and knowledgeable as the guys?

While its quite difficult to ascertain if Nigerian Guys are more knowledgeable than the Ladies because there are no facts to prove or disprove that.

I still believe its not far-fetched that the above discuss can be based on a singular assumption that Nigerian ladies "generally" hardly show interests in issues such as Politics, Psychology, Philosophy, Medicine, Nature, etc.

I think one of the reasons for this is that ladies are by default interested in issues such as lifestyle, fashion, celebrity gossips, entertainment etc.

The few ladies that stand out, tend to have more male friends, or rather are in an environment dominated by men and as such pick up other interests or better still develop interest in intellectual issues.

I listen a lot to 99.3 Nig info. Great radio station, as a matter of fact they stole my heart from their sister stations, Cool and Wazobia FM.

Like you rightly pointed out @emboledened, 95% of those that call to contribute are Men. Even on the Morning Crossfire where heated issues are discussed on the panel, likes of green hour and co. You hardly get female callers.

The worst of is when the OAP's specifically tell the ladies to call in, you still get a few calling in.

The most appalling for me is the program on "The woman", its quite amazing that just a few ladies call and contribute.

These and many more are probably enough reasons to say that Men are more knowledgeable.

That's it. I'm totally against the housewife ideology or the complete dependence of a woman to a man. Every woman should have a source of income no matter how little. They shouldn't just sit their asses at home and expect men to provide everything at home. It only makes most men laud their ego on them.

Well said bruv!!

This is the 21st century and there is a paradigm shift from the usual era of the stay home "housewives".

While I don't have a problem with stay home housewives, especially if its by reason of what the husband wants.

What would be rather appalling is a woman who has chosen not to add significant value to her life and cannot make or suggest key ideas when her husband is in a fix.

It reminds me of a story I heard sometime ago, not sure of the authenticity of the story, but it sure holds water.

One night, President Obama and his Wife decided to do something different and go for a casual dinner at a restaurant not so luxurious.

When they were seated, the owner of the restaurant asked the President's secret service if he could speak to the first lady in private.

They obliged and Michelle had a convo with the owner. Following their convo, President Obama asked Michelle, "Why was he so interested in talking to you?"

She mentioned that in her teenage years, he had been madly in love with her. President Obama then said, "So if you had married him, you would now be the owner of this lovely restaurant," to which Michelle responded,

"No, if I had married him, he would now be the President"

Now that's a woman of value and substance. smiley
