I now think this is a kind of witch hunt and the cycle might continue. Once the person you dislike gets into power, the powers that be teams up and over throws him via a coup and the cycle continues.

I understand the grievances, how can you impoverish your people and give the colonists unhindered access to the nations wealth? Is this the type of democracy that is practiced in France?

How can someone seize power and use the same power to kill and silence his opponents and you tag it democracy?
How can someone use the power of incumbency to continually rig himself back to power and you call that democracy?
How can someone spend decades in power with no hope of even relinquishing it and you tag it democracy?
