Manchester United will not stop Cristiano Ronaldo from leaving this summer if he demands a transfer away, the Sunday Mirror reports.

The 37-year-old will quit the Reds again at the end of this season if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.

And it is understood the club will allow him go if it is clear he wants to leave.

There is now a growing acceptance inside Old Trafford that bringing Ronaldo back after 11 years spent with Real Madrid and Juventus was an error of judgement.

The move was driven by both commercial factors and the determination to stop him joining rivals Manchester City.

But despite topping United’s scoring charts with 15 goals, Ronaldo is showing signs of wear and tear after playing almost 19 seasons at the top level.

This is pathetic. How can such a promising career be subjected to this kind of turbulence at this tender stage?

Why can't this boy be forgiven? A few months suspension could have been a punishment for physically assaulting the girl but I guess that rape attached to his case is where the real problem is. He's a teen and is clearly driven by youthful ebullience and exuberance. It's a pity that such a promising talent is headed for a downward spiral angry

I feel so sad for him.

This gospel preacher of a guy operates like six different monikers. All he does is create a thread with a moniker and use an alternative moniker to spew gibberish. What exactly he gains by creating all these threads to instill fear on those not properly exposed is what I can't understand.
Is this what he understands by the Gospel?
He is a prophet of doom and clearly an agent of the anti-Christ the Lord Jesus talked about.

The Police Command in Osun State has narrated the shooting incident involving the convoy of Interior Minister, Rauf Aregbesola.

The former Governor’s motorcade was attacked on Monday by hoodlums at Orisumbare/MFS Road in Osogbo, the capital.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Yemisi Opalola, said that it was some of the minister’s escorts that opened fire without provocation.

The spokesperson noted that the episode occurred at about 5.40pm as NSCDC, Correctional Service, Immigration personnel escorted Aregbesola.

Some “unidentified armed people suspected to be political thugs were with the convoy.

“Suddenly, some of the security escorts of the minister started shooting sporadically into the air without any provocation nor attack, thereby causing members of the public to scramble for their safety,”
she added.

The police confirmed that thirteen empty shells of G-3, assault and AK-37 rifles were recovered along the road after the minister’s departure.

Noting that no one died, the PRO said a full report would be made available at the end of investigation.

Factional Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abiodun Agboola, earlier said the minister was attacked by political thugs while coming from Ilesa.

“Today’s attempt on the life of the minister is a confirmation that Osun is no longer a safe State”, Agboola declared.

A self-acclaimed disciple of Nnamdi Kanu, detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Simon Ekpa has claimed that he earlier predicted that DCP Abba Kyari would be disgraced for allegedly killing innocent Igbos.

DAILY POST recalls that the former commander of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team (IGP-IRT) who served in South-East but was suspended over alleged tie with an internet fraudster, Abbas Ramon, popularly known as Hushpuppi, was arrested by the Nigeria Police, on Monday.

His arrest was sequel to fresh allegation against him on drug trafficking, as the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, declared him wanted for allegedly working with two international drug couriers, identified as Chibunna Patrick Umeibe and Emeka Alphonsus.

He was subsequently arrested by the police and handed over to the NDLEA as more investigations continue.

Reacting, Ekpa in a tweet on his official Twitter handle, on Monday, described the embattled cop as a criminal, who according to him, had killed innocent Biafrans.

The tweet reads, “I called Abba Kyari a criminal even before the indictment in the US. I told him that for killing Biafrans, he will be disgraced and his career will end in Biafraland.

“Today is he not known globally as a criminal? The big question is, what happened to all the innocent Biafrans he killed?”

Abdul’aziz Yari, a former Governor of Zamfara State, was on Saturday, flown to the United Kingdom in a wheelchair.

According to SaharaReporters, the former Governor was in a bad shape medically when he arrived the international airport ahead of the flight to the UK.

Yari was reported to have departed Nigeria in a British Airways aircraft.

“Ex-Governor Yari is flying to the UK on British Airways flight for a medical trip. He was even brought in a wheelchair,” a source at the airport told SaharaReporters on Saturday.

Recall that Yari, who was Governor of Zamfara State from May 2011 to May 2019, was detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in April 2021, over alleged illegal financial dealings and misappropriation of funds.

A Federal High Court in Abuja also ordered the final forfeiture of funds belonging to him, domiciled in Zenith and Polaris banks.
