Let us just admit that our players are not as good as we fantasize them to be,in a space of 3 years we have appointed 3 coaches all to no avail, all our effort have been futile.
Let leave the coach alone and blame the players Wait you mean we should get CR7 and Leo kind of players to beat Zimbabwe and Lesotho? Wow tell me something please. |

lovewins: I didn't need a loss against Lesotho to know Peseiro is a bad for for the Super Eagles, the first few games convinced me. I however think that sacking him now is t the right decision.
First, the NFF can't afford to, since they stupidly renewed his contract. What we can hope for is that we win against Zimbabwe tomorrow, but the NFF should start scouting for a new coach (preferably a Nigerian). His presence with the team wouldn't be that significant since our next set of qualifiers will be after AFCON next year.
The NFF included a KPI that JP has to meet to keep his job, the AFCON Finals being one of them. I sincerely do not think he has what it takes to achieve that. The NFF can then sack him in January without significant financial blowback should he fail to meet up with the target. This way, we can get in a new coach who will prepare the team for thr remainder of the qualifiers. I'm not sure the details of the renewed contract was released for us to be sure of the bold. Don't be surprised they might add qualification for the world cup as part of the KPI and will use that to keep him beyond the AFCON. |

Danielnino00: Here we go! Voting of Members of the Nomination Committee Gentlemen and ladies of the thread, it is time for us to vote for those who will stand as representatives of this thread and partake in the selection of award categories and award nominees. This year, the nomination committee will be made up of at least 7 members: myself, icon4s who pioneered the award will continue as an honorary member of the committee and at least 5 monikers from this thread. Every member of this thread is eligible to vote and be voted for. But let's keep in mind that this isn't a popularity contest. Vote for those you believe have the knowledge and passion for Nigerian football. Here's the rule for voting: 1) You're to vote for 5 monikers from this thread to join the committee; 2) Vote the monikers in order of preference, from top to bottom; 3) Points will be awarded to each moniker you vote for. Your first nominee gets 5 point, the second gets 4 points, the third gets 3 points, fourth gets 2 points and fifth gets 1 point. 4) At the end of the voting process, the five monikers with the most points will join the committee; 5) In the event that two or more monikers are tied on points, they will all be added to the committee, as the goal is to have as many monikers to contribute to the process. 6) You're allowed to nominate yourself 😉
Voting closes on Wednesday, November 8th 2023, 10pm Nigerian time.
Thank you. Thesupernerd Kog45 Charlesemeka Thegoodjoe Komekn |

I want to believe that this is propaganda but if not, well meaning Nigerians should vehemently in all totality reject the use of state government money for this frivolity.
I wonder how our politicians actually think, I'm sure if they do the right thing, the electorates will surely vote them back in or their successors from same party but because they know that they didn't scratch the surface in the elected positions, they'll do all illegalities to make sure they remain in power or handpick their successors for coverups. |

Even though he used flyovers to coverup, I'm sure those funds were from the state's coffers.
How corruption just walk without shame on our streets needs to be studied.
I'm sure because he knows the agency in charge of financial and corruption crimes in ICPC & EFCC will do him nothing that's why he can boldly brag about this.
No wonder he had the elected people in his pockets before now, hopefully Sim Fubara snuggles out and provides the dividend of democracy to the citizens of Rivers State. |

DABIGATRAN: Whoever invented the system that produced our U17 WC winners in 2013 and 2015 deserves some credit. Aminu Maigari was the NFF president while Bolaji Abdullahi was the sports minister. The system was capital intensive but that financial aspect was outsourced to states like Rivers. It involved scouting young players all over Nigeria and that was how the likes of Ndidi, Matthew, Awoniyi, Iheanacho, Success, Yahaya, Osimhen, Nwakali, Chukwueze, Alampasu, Uzoho were discovered. Imagine how many more players we could have discovered if consistency was a thing in Nigeria. Maybe by now we could have discovered more talented defenders and goalkeepers so we wouldn't be here all day debating who is better between two mediocre defenders. Mind you we used that system because we don't have professional clubs in Nigeria. Professional clubs all over the world have academies. The bold is what TheGoodJoe has been clamoring for. |

Let me read up first
Modified. The title is actually misleading because this is a recommendation of a committee and not the implementation.
Even though it is a good idea, it cannot be stopped until the government through the banks starts making FX available without limits that is when the black market will crash drastically or phased off entirely.
Again the dollar currently in the black market isn't the sole property of the FRN, if not apart from the suggestion above, a change in color just as was done to the naira notes recently will have curbed the excesses of the fraudulent black market traders. |
