I noticed that this red light comes on my Toyota Corolla(Bank Type) once the temperature gauge gets to centre of the gauge especially when iam in traffic but once i rev, it disappears and also when i leave traffic and the temperature gauge drops below the centre, it disappears.

Please what could be the issue?.

Loss of oil pressure. Stop driving that car immediately. Have it checked by a competent technician.

Yes, we scanned the car earlier when it wasn’t revving at all and the codes pulled out were related to throttle body et Al. I still have the codes. Will send them here

Rescan the car again, clear codes try to start the car and rescan.

Please I use a Nissan Altima 2008 2.5s.

I recently just changed the car's engine cos the previous one got knocked. Since I changed th engine, I've not enjoyed the car at all. The first issue was the car not revving at all which was partially fixed by the mechanic by replacing the injector mouth( throttle body). After replacement, same issue occured until a rewire checked it out and the car started revving. Also to mention, the car on idle is high around 1300-1500 rpm. It also doesn't start once in the morning until after like 3 to 4 times.

Now the main issue I'm facing is this. Once I engage the gear, the car looses power and accelerates very sluggish and once I put the car back to Neutral or Park, it doesn't rev well and the raising is sluggish. But once I switch off the car and ON again, the car revs well, once i engage gear, it looses power again even when returned to neutral or Park. Please Help

Your technicians are working on a Nissan and ought to have the following tools readily handy
1. Digital multimeter
2. OBD 2 diagnostic scanner.


That said, have you/your mechanic scanned the car to get the error codes?

Check wire socket going to transmission for breakage of pin or rust. Clean properly, fix back securely, clear error codes, change transmission fluid and filter, if it still occur, replace valve body or complete transmission.

I drive A 2016 corolla, sometime last year September I started noticing the difficulty in smooth acceleration of the car it developed to the car finding really hard to climb a hill and I noticed some leaks from the gear area anytime I park. So I asked my mechanic to scan it, and it brought out this code p2757 with a little research I understand that it's inside the gear and it controls the oil pressure. Also my mechanic said the oil seal needs to be changed because that's where the leakage is from. Though the car has been parked since then. Please I will like to know

How much they sell the parts needed to be changed.

If it's going to affect the gear anyway hence a gear master would need to open it.

What's the best gear oil for the car.

Is your car a regular automatic or a CVT?

Pls take a picture of the VIN sticker by the door jamb (that pillar where the door locks) for confirmation before any advise is given.

Good morning everyone

I just got my car serviced, the belt was replaced and it got really noisy.

It was also doing hard start.

Now the hard start was being worked on by cleaning the plugs and fuel pump.

Turned on the car this morning and lights full everywhere.

Brake light isn't going off even when the hand brake is down, ABS is light is on, VCR light is on, airbag light is on. Fuel light is on (but the fuel is near empty so understandable).

The car is an '08 Honda accord

Please is there a proper Honda Accord mechanic. I'm tired of trial and error mechanics.

Good evening guys, I erroneously left my radiator cap unlocked even though I closed it but I forgot to pull it off to confirm if it was closed after which my sister drove the vehicle to work and on her way back the vehicle shut off on the road and it was discovered that the coolant had escaped from the radiator and it had overheated.
Took it to a mechanic who diagnosed that the top gasket had failed and so I paid for its replacement. He also did some maintenance works on the engine caused by the damage from the overheating of which I will provide the details of the repair here for those who understand what he did.
I collected the vehicle yesterday and he advised me not to use a thermostat any longer as he explained it the way the usual Nigerian mechanics do. On driving it, I noticed the temperature gauge was etching towards the normal operating temperature mark which I thought was abnormal since the mechanic said he had removed the thermostat. Soon after the temperature needle started to move much higher on the gauge which is when I knew for sure something was wrong. I stopped the vehicle and waited for some times before I added water and I was able to drive the vehicle home.
Took it back to the mechanic today and he pointed out a leak in the radiator top rubber as was don clips holding the hose which I replaced. Carried out test drives and the issue persisted. Radiator was washed but the issue still persisted. He then consulted another mechanic who suggested we change the radiator completely. I purchase another double cell radiator @45,000 and unfortunately the issue still persists. I don’t know what else to do and the mechanic obviously doesn’t know what to do either. Please what could be the problem and what are the possible solutions?
Engine is a 2AZ engine. No visible smoke and no sign of liquid in the engine oil dipstick. No visible leaks except for when the engine has become very hot and I see a little bit of water that escaped from the radiator cap which I don’t think is enough to trigger overheating at that pace, usually 10-15mins after driving on high speed.

That engine may have experienced stripped head bolts, the water pump may be faulty, or internal cylinder crack or the engine deck may be warped.
Take it else where to check carefully.

I read here that one doesn’t have to use any type of oil for the MB, so I saw the recommended oil is the MB 229.51 or MB 229.52 oils.
But the mechanic is telling me I can use Star oil bla bla.
I asked the previous owner the type of oil he used on it but he said he hasn’t change the oil since it entered (I don’t know if this is false).

Lexus Rx400h occasionally throws up "P0A80 Replace Hybrid Battery Pack" which goes off after clearing with a scan tool.

It happens sometimes when reversing and when stationary, it never comes on when on motion. It can stay days without throwing up the code.

The code often come with C1310 Active Booster Solenoid/HV System Malfunction and C1259 HV Control System Regenarative and both code clears immediately they P0A80 is erased with the scan tool.

Replace the hybrid cells that have degenerated and can't hold charge anymore. They're at the rear seats of your lexus.
