Get dynamat or noico sound deadening mats. You can import them from aliexpress or Amazon or ebay.

Alternatively, you can get some sheets of self-adhesive aluminum sheet (aka flashband). It's used to stop leaks, it can be used for exposed areas

I have scanned it, I'll attach a screenshot of 2 scans I did. The first one is the one I did before all the repairs, the second one is the most recent one after some repairs. Right now, the car takes about a second before it accelerates when you step on the accelerator. I've just parked it until I am sure of a solution.

Get a proper scanner that can scan the transmission also, scan the engine and transmission.

Good day house, please i don't know exactly what is wrong with my car, Honda accord, the car just won't go past 3k rpm, we've changed the VTC solenoid, we've tested the VVT solenoid too, and it moves fine, we changed the Oil pump, we've done everything, yet that rocker arm stuck code is still on, and the car still won't go past 3k rpm, once it reaches there, it jerks very hard, gear selects fine, car moves fine, but doesn't go past that 3k rpm.

You mean to say he bled the cooling system?

Most Toyota of that era were designed with a self bleeding system. Water is drawn from the coolant reservoir bottle into the radiator to displace the air pocket trapped as the car is driven this is made possible by the radiator cap and the pressure it is designed to hold. I can assure you, that engine has a blown head gasket.

I have an issue with my Toyota 2014 Corolla and it's occurred four(4) times in the last one year. I drove the car out and everything was normal, on getting home,i tried to park the car and it was just dragging both in Drive and Reverse. when i let the car cool off till the next day, everything worked normally again. it accelerates well and shift into gear without issues. I took a road trip yesterday and same thing happened. I got to a checkpoint and stopped, when i tried moving after i was waved on,the car just wouldn't move. it kept dragging both in Drive and Reverse, I had to let it cool of for a moment with the engine still running and everything worked well again but i noticed it never accelerated beyond 70mph. I changed the transmission fluid about 4 months ago after it did same thing and there is no check engine light on my dash or any light at all. I would need help on how to solve this.

Is the car a CVT or traditional auto?
If you're not sure, check the VIN sticker by driver door jamb, snap it and let's see. You also need to scan that ride.

An electrician diagnosed my car using a turbocharger and he said it threw up an error code P0299, that the turbocharger is not good that we need to replace it.

However, i am not comfortable with that because there could be other issues that can cause the turbocharger to underperform.
So I am in search of turbocharger specific electrician/technician to help review the issue.

P0299 can be caused by myriad of factors such as dirty or clogged air filter, broken or improperly fastened intake pipes which causes leaks, failing boost pressure sensor, bad turbo charger etc.

It's been 2 weeks behind the wheel of the Peugeot 505 ST and I haven't felt desire to hop into any of the modern 200+ horsepower cars for a break. As the young man in the picture stated, this 505 is a statement to other men on the road. 3MZ is a 3.3L V6 engine, VVT-i timing which pushes out about 230Hp.
This engine uses timing belt which can cut anytime without notice.
It's also equipped with a 5-speed ( U151E ) gear which you people popularly call the 13-pin gear.
The fuel economy of the 3MZ is very poor when compared with the 2GR.
This engine/gear is commonly found in Camry, Lexus, Highlander, Sienna etc.

The 2GR is an advanced and modified version of 3MZ. It's equipped with a double 3.5L V6 engine with dual overhead camshaft (DOHC) and VVT-i timing and pushes out about 278Hp.
This engine uses timing chain instead of belt and the chain is more durable and hardly cut instead it slacks.
Its equipped with a 6-speed ( U660E ) gear which you people popularly call the 22-pin gear.
The fuel economy and general performance of this engine/gear over the 3MZ is much.
This 2GR srarted around late 2006 so thats why you see them in some late 06/07 Sienna and Rx330. Other vehicles that use them are other Lexus, Rav4, Highlander, Camry etc.

So my advice is, stop believing hear say, always seek information from a qualified professional and make your own research too.
The only reason Naija quack mechanics don't like the 2GR is there is no much space inside the engine compartment so when they want to remove or install some components like alternator, kick starter, pump,gasket and other things its not always as easy as the 3MZ that have more room.

My second advice is, as far as you people still allow the kazeems, dropouts, quacks and people who didt even finish primary school rule the Automobile maintenance industry those are the kind of things you see,so dont complain.
Everyone wants his children to study Medicine, Law, Accounting etc .......no problem, when they finish Mr Quack and Kazeem is waiting for them to bypass all the sensors on that their 2025 model cars, then they will learn the hard way.

Please guys, what is this clamp dangling under my exhaust? I have used this car this way for a long time. I noticed whenever I climb bumps, some metal rattles underneath. I went under and had a look, and I see this thing like a clamp dangling loosely. Should I cut it off and just leave it that way? Or is it something that tightly fitted before but suddenly loosened?

It's a fastener that has come loose. Ask your panelbeater to fix it or delete it.
