I never indicated Corolla in my post but anyway, may be the right language would have been in comparison i.e in the aspect of durability between the Japanese and the Germans, the Germans have it. Even though parts might be more expensive than the Japanese, but they last longer.

You shot yourself in the leg. Have you priced parts for a W211 Mercedes or E60 BMW? Do they last longer than an ES330 or Acura or Infiniti? Never conclude blindly bro.

I've owned a Japanese which I currently drive for 5years and it's not been broken down except for a shock which I replaced some months ago.
Prior to the current Japanese car, I owned another Japanese car for 4years, it never broke down till I sold it. Is that not the true meaning of reliability and dependability?

its not a high maintenance vehicle. A gallon of Mobil 1 5W30 and genuine oil filter every 5000miles, and transmission fluid drained and refill every 20-30000mile interval. Brake pads and tyre replacement also. You need not drain your bank account to maintain these cars.

from the picture you sent, that car has had it's engine changed to another engine. The chassis/body is a C230, but engine is either a C240 or C320. You dodged a bullet!
