MikeofAfrica: You mean the same Oshodi where an igboman, Jude, has been their representative in Lagos Assembly for over 8 years.
The same, Oshodi, where another Igbo man from Labour party recently won the house of Representatives seat.
Those agberos you are boosting about are the main reason why the igbos are making waves in Lagos.
Since most of them are unemployed, they are ready to sell their inheritance at a ridiculous price. I once brought two plots of land from one of them in Surulere at the rate of one plot of land.
They are ready to bow to any igboman that gives them peanuts regularly.
Hence do not be surprise that all the agberos in mushin will bow before me if I can deliver #5000 to each of them. That is how cheap the Yoruba youths have become.
Awolowo introduced free education to the Yorubas because he wants them to be pacesetters in Nigeria. Tinubu substituted the free education with street touts because he wants to loot the Yoruba nation with no resistants
The consequences of this is that the Yoruba youths are lossing Lagos to the igbos. Instead of you to retired Tinubu and his allies from politics, you rewarded him with the presidency.
It is well. You have a point though. Much of these is as a result of the Yorubas not empowering themselves. |

Inteltower: go and first migrate to anambra, live there, set up business, marry, etc...do the needful as a nigerian to make your tribe count in anambra, then lets see who will stop you from contesting in an election
you are clearly daft sha...igbos have done this well in lagos, contributing to its development so even if vivour is an igbo guy why shouldnt he contest, after all werent there yorubas that ought to have picked their interest in the governorship election that are in LP
i thought this is democracy not bigotry the igbo paid their dues to the SW and other places they have settles showing how nigerian we are but as a daft person you are you choose to be blind about these facts
no...stay in your region and want to governor anambra olodo
igbos only fear in opening up their political terrain is the fulanis with the uncertainty of islamization... and which wise man wont be cautious of such threat as displayed already by their herdsmen who up till now have not been proscribed
so olodo go and do the needful in mass and come down to the east. abi tinubu is president elect..let him open more seaports down east if you lots have no excuse in coming down this side
if you cant do that
shut up I don't go to red mud erosion lands. The rest of your epistle was left unread. |

Will you be able to pay the millions those lands and houses are worth now? Stop dreaming bro. Igbos have come to own Lagos and there is nothing you can do about it See this one. SisterFire: ...I know u were living fine during the civil war but I think u live worst now under APC u voted to mock igbos . The more you vote bad government and feel proud about it the more igbos sit up and understand nigeria isn't for them . Tribalism is a sweet delusion ,but bad governance is a sad reality which u yorubas has no solution against but to sell all u have. Talking of bad government, all the governors your region have produced except from Chime, Ngige and Umahi are trash. You packaged a failed governor who did nothing relevant to raise the state GDP and sold him as president but e clear for una eye. This is not about tribalism. The government in Lagos has been wonderful else you won't abandon your mud house in Obosi and start dreaming of being a landlord in Lagos. You are just ungrateful lots. |

We have a word "Omo ale" for nuisance Yorubas like these who are willing to give up their own to suit others interest. Right now non-Yorubas in Lagos are trying to get their own candidate to usurp Yoruba power in Lagos. This will not happen. As long as Segun cannot be governor in Anambra, Chinedu can never be governor in Lagos. Yoruba ro nu. |

MikeofAfrica: The igbos do not want to steal the government of Lagos from Yorubas. That is not the case.
The igbos want to take what rightly belongs to them. They deserve either the Governorship or deputy Governorship seat in every government in Lagos.
An igboman was the first Parliamentarian of Lagos. He laid the legal framework for the development of Lagos by the FG.
Lagos State is not a yorubaland. It is a cosmopolitan city that belongs to all Nigerians. If them born you well, say this in Oshodi or Mushin. You go collect beating. You won't be killed though like your brothers in your region murder their own for not sitting at home on Mondays. |

ScamHunter: They're behavior is indicative of innate laziness. As stupid as they cling unto Lagos. Daily they don't want Igbo in Lagos but their people are in Abuja, Port Harcourt and even in the North.
Yet they're the most vocal against Igbo exit from Nigeria. A very parasitic abi witchcraft spirit. You hate Igbo, yet you want Igbo to remain in the same country with you. Yet they must not live in Lagos. With apologies to the sensible Yoruba, Yoruba is a very wicked tribe. Probably the most wicked aside Fulani that are killing people everywhere. Better tell your baby factory brothers that once their Biafra actualizes, you all are going back. All Okoros including Mama and pikin. |

FreedomArmy: My friend let me tell you the reality and it's a bitter reality. Igbos will eventually take over Lagos in the next 10 years Maximum. I mean this guys have the number to do it. There are over 5million igbos scattered all over Lagos. Now tell me what will happen if 5million Igbos head to the poll and vote who will become the governor of Lagos. From 2027, anybody who wants to win governorship position in Lagos must make an Igbo man the deputy governor. After this elections, expect some moves to stop that crap. It's obvious that for the past decade that the opposition has been trying to use non-Yorubas in Lagos to unseat power. There has been some instances to stop selling houses and renting houses to Igbos. Those instances will be louder now. Igbos should go and develop their region where they can seat at home every Mondays. |

The way people are being bullied online for their support for their political candidate has been so terrifying. Worst of all, it is some Yorubas playing into the cards of Igbos being used as tools to bring down their own. If Bola Tinubu performed as horrible as Obi in Anambra, many of them won't be enjoying the atmosphere of Lagos. This elections has made me more pro-Yoruba. Just like the Northerners protect their own, we need to start defending our own and offering constructive criticisms to our leaders. Not like many of us can do any better if we were leaders. Rinu, Iyabo Ojo, Marcaroni, Falz, etc and other Yoruba Nairalanders who have been used to mock their own and destroy Lagos all don't deserve to be Yorubas. |
