I have been to many states in Nigeria and I have come to realise that the least territorial people are the Yorubas and the Akwa Ibomites. The rest are very territorial. Do not even talk about the Igbos, even if they are forced to sell lands to non-Igbos they will treat you like an outsider.
Keeping sentiments aside, if you want to have full rights in other regions, let others have full rights in your region first.
Unfortunately, that region has nothing to offer.

I have a friend. He is someone who is supposed to be rich. You can see it in him but he is presently living like a pauper. His wife stays with him and they manage their lives together in their small self-contain. Wife is loyal but I know guyman goes out to cheat at times.They don't fight or have irreconcilable conflicts for more than 8 years of their marriage. Now here is the angle.

There is an innate desire for the Igbo man to dominate other tribes around him. However, this trait has only been noticed after colonization. It didn't show pre-colonization else they would have done all to subdue smaller tribes around them like the Ibibios, Efik, Idomas, etc.
This tendency is what made some Igbo soldiers do a coup that led to the civil war. This same thing is what made the Biafran army conquer almost all the other tribes of the Ijaw down to Benin. This is what gave them the courage to try to invade Yorubaland. Unfortunately, that was when the Yorubas woke up and realized it is time for survival. That invasion of Ore pushed many Yorubas to join the army to deal with the invaders. Till now the Igbos keep claiming victim of an action where they were the original aggressors.
Same thing is happening in Politics. They tried to aggressively put their man Obi in for quest for domination. Seeing that failed, they have resorted to see how a clown GRV can give them Lagos. Don't be unsmart, GRV is being funded by Igbos. If he wins, he will open doors for them in the state untill they are fully in charge.
