A sport or any endeavour needs to have rewards for good performance and punishment for poor performance. When you have 20 teams where most are permanent regardless of performance what do you call that?

Part of what makes it a sport is the battle for spots, why do you want to make top 4, why do you want to avoid relegation? You were hoping Liverpool lose and Chelsea wins today not because you have a chance to win the league but you want to get the reward for top 4

Lol....my point is your system determines the type of players you go for. We buy/groom players only to sell them for peanuts because they are not useful to us. Check the turnover rate since Fergie left, we have bought quality players and sold them for less than amounts we purchased them for in 2-3 years and they usually go to other teams to perform.

We need to extract value from our players before letting them leave, or we sell for amounts higher than cost. Other teams are doing it, so it should not be a big deal.

Meanwhile, teams that win major trophies have starters that have played together for years.
