It is shameful and ignorant to lay claim to other people's work for want of clout or otherwise. I don't know what Nigeria is degenerating into.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Rwanda’s Paul Kagame Wants A 4th Term by kioski: 5:09pm On Sep 20, 2023
festacman:

Praise-singing, graveyard quietness and choreographed smiles are all deceitful hallmarks of dictatorship because behind the façade you see is an unhappy mentally-shackled people yearning for fresh air and freedom.

Look, the disadvantage of what Paul Kagame is doing is that for several years, everything will be about him and revolve around him so much that there is not any solid succession plan in place and the political class and the citizens have poor democracy learning curves. Yes, there are physical developments but developmental mentality will be missing among the civil servants and citizens.

A dangerous lacuna is created and if Paul Kagame dropped dead today, everything he builds crumbles from infighting for power. It happened with Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Ivory Coast. It happened with Mohamed Siad Barre in Somalia. And if he succeeds in installing his son, the damage goes on and day of reckoning is merely postponed.
This is unfortunately how the West who never meant well towards us want us to see democracy. The moment you start making progress, they quickly call you a name and start looking for your downfall and even turn your own against you. In the definition of democracy, I don't see any limitation in the number of participation by an individual. It is the people's wish that's key to the definition, and that wish must be respected for continued progress. The earlier we limit them from interfering with our livelihood the better for us. Those rogues who want everything done as they want.

And you say this person is a trained journalist?

Absolutely spot on, the same thing applies to Museveni of Uganda and the criminal called Kagame of Rwanda, despite all the years both presidents have been in power, Uganda and Rwanda are both shit-holes, Africa is been held on the jugular by wicked leaders supported by few disgruntled followers, l don't see African countries becoming First world countries as long as the status quo of poor, bad, corrupt, inept leaders remains, there must be a paradigm shift both from the followers / leaders and we must break this cycle of poor leadership structure across the 54 African countries angry
If you want to criticize any African President, please leave Kigame out because from your outburst you don't understand what democracy is...as a quick reminder, it is the government of the people, for the people, by the people. Essentially, what the people want is what decides the government in power. If a president performs excellently and the people want him back, why not? But the West know they'll be at disadvantage and therefore want to complain and condemn several terms of good presidents. Why haven't they complained about these old poverty merchants they deliberately recycle all over their French colonies? When did they become the citizens to want to have a say in the countries' affairs? Toeing these skewed understanding of democracy is what will leave us perpetually in poverty and helplessness as had been originally designed by the colonizers. We must not believe everything hook, line, and sinker. It's only ourselves that can liberate us from mental slavery.

Politics / Re: NNPC Confirms Increase In Pump Price Of Fuel, Releases Statement by kioski: 3:41pm On May 31, 2023
This is definitely the cabal at work because the mere mention of the end of subsidy does not immediately translate into increase in pump price. So, is our strategic reserve not up to one month? How about the commencement of operations of Dangote refinery? Why don't these lazy thieves run a business the way they should and stop stealing from the people in the name of subsidy. Who knows, today's government may be deliberate in the mistake of announcing what's not necessary!

Politics / Re: Fuel Subsidy Removal: Tinubu Should Remember His Stand In 2012 - Ajaero by kioski: 2:23pm On May 31, 2023
This apparent confusion is the handiwork of the cabal. During the Jonathan tenure, there was nothing to fall back on as the cabal ensured that no refinery worked. Now, Dangote refinery is on stream so in less than a month the seamless supply of petroleum products can be achieved which leaves the June 30 end date for subsidy properly placed. This idea of issuing license to import products issues from the greed of the cabal who cannot fathom how to live without subsidy. It's unfortunate that the president's pronouncement was unnecessary as he doesn't owe the cabal any explanation nor the citizens as no shortfall will be expected with Dangote refinery being on stream. This is one of those unnecessary "I must make a statement" mistakes people make to be seen to be in charge.

You can't even be on SM in peace again.

I wish I can just screen shot my FB chat here.......90% of Nigeria ladies are now beggers.

How did we get here Out the blue someone will just text you and start telling you.
Her gas have finished
Her mother is sick
Her house rent is due
Her birthday is tomorrow...Etc

You mistaking hi them and boom billing is the next thing.

Some will meet you were you want to get something and start begging you to buy things for them also.

Just this evening (a full grown adult) someone I barely know is begging me for data lying to me she want to use the data to send money to a client meanwhile she will waste the data viewing tik tok and Instagram.

Why is begging now so convenient for majority of our ladies?? Where is the contentment and self respect ?

Why is it so convenient be begging total strangers rather than ask people close to you for assistance.

Single mothers own is another case entirely......majority of those one are just something I can't describe.

No lady should come here and give that BS of is guys disguising to be female doing those things......we guys ain't that stupid not to know fake profiles.

Nigeria govt needs to do something about this trend cos our ladies are now becoming a thing of mockery.

How will a guy respect you as a lady if all you do is beg beg beg.

They're everywhere and the government should have nothing to do with them. Imagine someone scratched my car because he was hurrying to leave a filling station. I forgave him because he suffered more damage and the next thing was one old woman telling me I'm godly then begged for me to buy her a gallon of petrol. I simply declined and I think that's what to do to beggars. Everybody has enough problem to last him a lifetime.

I'm completely taken aback to observe that most of the noise makers here cannot see the difference between politics and judicial process. When Oputa panel was televised, was that politics? It is the right of the citizens to flow with the judicial process which, of course, leave the judges with the final say. Backwardness is indeed a bad spell... they can't even see anything from a balanced perspective - myopic to the very end.

Facts be told, there's been a general apathy towards the Igbos in nearly every aspect of our national life. The war has been raging with many countries evacuating their citizens while Nigeria is looking on. When an individual saw it urgent to do the needful, the Nigerian government suddenly remembered they have Hercules planes to do the evacuation. Geoffrey must have exhausted every opportunity to have this happen earlier but I can imagine what it feels like dealing with people who don't care until the situation becomes obvious enough to elicit public outrage. I wonder what state of origin in Nigeria has to do with being a Nigerian if we truly want to identify ourselves as one. That some states decided to respond to the emergency to evacuate their citizens only goes to show how decrepit the system has become. We honestly need to get out of this mediocrity.

Pastor Adeboye Prays for Governor Adeleke, Says "God will Continue to Suport You"

● I'm Annointed for Governorship-Governor Adeleke

It was a shower of praise and anointing today at the commissioning of Jennifer Etuh Medical Centre where Pastor Enoch Adeboye blessed and prayed for God's continous support for the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

Speaking at the event held at Ifewara attended by dignitaries from all over the country, Pastor Adeboye beseeched God to grant Governor Adeleke more wisdom, urging him to continue to govern with the fear of God.

Adeboye accompanied by his wife and senior pastors of the Redeemed Christian Church (RCCG) noted that as long as Governor Adeleke continues to uphold the path of God, he will continue to earn the favour of God.

Governor Adeleke had earlier narrated how his governorship ambition started with the anointing and prayers of Pastor Adeboye, testifying that the Lord Almighty has approved and installed him as the Governor of Osun State.

"I remembered Baba Adeboye anointed and prayed for me. His prayer on me is answered and I am here today as the Governor of Osun State.

"Baba has again prayed for me and re-anointed me. I will continue to toe the path of God. I govern by the fear of God. I will not derail as my governorship is anointed by God", Governor Adeleke declared.

Reiterating why he continue to sing and praise God at every occassion, Governor Adeleke said as part of his pact with God, he is instructed not to leave the habit of praise singing.

"When Baba Adeboye was anointing me, he asked me to continue to sing and praise God. So when you see me dancing and praising God, that is my promise to my God as instructed by God. That is my secret", he narrated.

In a commissioning full of praise singing, Pastor Adeboye described the location and completion of the ultra-modern multi-billion naira medical and vocational centre at Ifewara as a divine intervention in favour of Ifewara, praying to God to bless all smaller towns without possibility of government medical and educational interventions.

Praying for the Etuh family and the repose of late Mrs Jennifer, Pastor Adeboye applauded several human intervention programs aim at touching people’s lives promoted and supported by the Etuh family and urged well meaning Nigerians to offer hands of fellowship to their kith and kins.

Governor Adeleke who was accompanied by his brother, Dr Deji Adeleke, the Chief of Staff, Hon Kazeem Akinleye, Hon Sunday Bisi, Hon Adewale Egbedun, Hon Niyi Owolade, Rev Bunmi Jenyo and others later commissioned the medical and the vocational centre.

The Jennifer Etuh Foundation which is responsible for building the medical centre is inspired by late Mrs Etuh who before her death instructed that such medical centres should be built in six zones of the federation. The Ifewara Medical centre is the third of the planned sic medical centres.

Signed:
Mallam Olawale Rasheed ,
Spokesperson to the Executive Governor
Governor check well because he's coming to set up a church branch there not for miracle healing but to extort the sick. Shouldn't he have been the one to set up a medical center with all the money in his possession?
