Tanks alot Kitty. Myn is a full scholarship evrytin had been paid by d sch n I submitted d proof to CDHC. I did my medicals last week Thursday. And in the envelope I was given by VFS CDHC only requested for transcripts( which I emailed to dem dat same day) of my previous sch in SA( even after giving them my original statement of result-it beats me y dey stil want transcripts). I was to resume in August but cos of d delay its now in January. The lady working with VFS suggested to me on last wk Thur that when I am returning my pasport, I shuld include a deferral letter. I immediately emailed my sch reqursting for one since they had earlier agreed to allow me resume in Jan..but till now I have not heard from them. And earlier I resubmit my passport n printed copy of my transcript d to VFS d earlier I will b given my TRV. I'm contemplating weda to jst resubmit on it witout d deferral letter on Tue if I dont get d deferal letter by Monday..den maybe if I'm called n asked for it, mayb den my sch wuld have sent it n I wuld just email it to them.

did cdhc give u a deadline? If they did just inform the contact person in ur sch of the deadline. They will scan ur letter to u then u can print it coluored on conqueror paper to make it more presentable. If the new offer letter is not ready, u can send the other documents with the e-mail to the embassy. You will need to write a letter informing them u got a new start date for january but the letter isn't available yet and u will send it as soon as u have it. Then refer the VO to the E-mail conversation. I did dat and it worked. The lady called M̶̲̥̅E̶̲̥̅ not to worry but I sud provide it as soon as possible to avoid further delays.

Yes, it can be requested at any time. A friend of mine was supposed to resume for fall session. Due to delay in visa processing, she got a letter from her school after medical that she can resume in the first week of October since her course does not have a winter start date. After medical, CDHC requested that she pays 1yr tuition and boarding which she did and forwarded her receipt. Just last week the embassy called her to provide another letter from the school saying they will still take her since first week of October has passed. The school declined and now she has to wait till Sept 2014. Its so sad after all the stress. But its different strokes for different folks. All na God. When its ur time, its ur time. One should just prepare for anything. One thing I have learnt with CDHC, start early, give them all the time they need and D̶̲̥̅̊☺ ur packaging well.

Kclexa, that is so on point. The use of form A will help save a lot of money especially wen u are paying huge like for tuition but all protocols must be observed. The bank will request for ur letter of admission, NYSC discharge certificate, first degree certificate, a demand of payment on the school letter head showing the amount u want to pay and account details of the school. Too much documentation right? Yes, the bank needs to give this information to CBN to show that it is not illegal transfer and not for fraudulent motive.

Aduke02: Dalhousie Uni is a very good school especially for law. I would, however, advise you to apply to other schools too cos from my experience and that of some other friends who applied there 2012/2013, they are fond of refusing to give u updates on your application i.e whether you are successful or not! You have to practically beg them to let you know. One particular friend applied in 2011 and till now is yet to hear from them, she has finished her masters in uni of Calgary since... When you are accepted, you'll definitely get reasonable funding from them depending on whether you applied for the thesis or coursework based LLM. I wish you all the very best.

I will be resuming in January but I read about the school and I learnt its a good one with several awards especially in Management courses and its a historical school too. Its important to say wen it comes to school application, you should not put all ur eggs in one basket so apply to as many schools as you can. But my advice is that follow up is important. You don't apply and go to sleep. @Aduke2, maybe ur friend did not follow up. Dal has been amazing to M̶̲̥̅E̶̲̥̅ wen it comes to information. They are always there to respond to mails and calls. That's my experience anyway.

Pls house I need enlightenment, I received the telex copies of my transfer for tuition and accommodation on Friday. I called the school today and I was told they have not received payment. How long does it take cos my deadline for submission at the embassy is Friday?

justicia: I just applied for LLM at Dalhousie University,Canada.I have forwarded all the admission requirements.However the info on the admission requirements page is that international students whose education has not been in english must provide proof of proficiency in english(i.e toefl or equivalent).So my question is since Nigeria's education is generally in english,can I assume that they know and therefore will dispense with that requirement in my case or do I still av to prove it to them.am asking because I tried to get my University to do a confirmation to Dalhousie buh they wouldn't issue one.pls advice...

@ Justicia just send a mail to ur admission officer stating the number of years u ve have formal education in English. That is from pre-nursery till date. Hoping to have u join Dalhousie soon.

@ Losky4real u need to relax, u can save all the anxiety for later not now. U ve a good CGPA, getting a masters admission is not a big deal and if u opt for PGD too u ve a good standing as well. Get started, no dulling. U can D̶̲̥̅̊☺ it urself. Na God sure pass. I packaged my application myself and got medical b4 someone who used maple. We submitted same time. Get proper information , be truthful and if its ur time its ur time.

Good people pls I need ur advice . I applied on 29th May , paper mode for Fall session. Its more than 3 months and no news yet. I sent a mail about 3 weeks ago and the reply was that my application is still awaiting processing. Is it advisable to send another mail as the month is almost ending.

I requested for status of my application and was told it is on the queue awaiting processing. Does that mean it has not been treated at all?

@Chrisgo and Hustle, yes o. I applied online and submitted the printed copy @ their Anifowose office. Since May 29th I have not heard from them. My dad is my sponsor and I am working too.

I applied for student Visa on the 29th May 2013 for fall session. I have not heard from the embassy till now. Am actually thinking of deferring the admission till Jan.since classes have started. Please what can I D̶̲̥̅̊☺? Pls help.
