At least learn from the nature, the darkest time in the morning bring forth brightness afterwards... Sometimes you push , make all the efforts , but it seems nothing is working, people call you lazy because no results to show for all your efforts, but I find it quiet strange that even when you get all you wanted now, you still won't be satisfied or happy ...So happiness is free... As for your debt , you can only keep pushing, many things would fail, but hopefully BabaGod would send a helper your way... Suicide though tempting is not the solution, you die and everybody still move on with their lives.
In my own personal opinion the debt issue is the main issue with the author of this letter, and we should all try to find out the nature of the debt, and how we can be of help either through crowd funding or other means. As it may sound there are debt that can land one in prison and we all knows what going to nigeria prison is like if one is not buoyant,so i don't really blame the guy for looking for the easy route out of his predicaments whichbin this case is suicide. Please we rise by helping others,i call on seun and others like lawyers in the house etc to let's try and see how we can bring this guy out of his present situation.

Anyway, there would have been nothing strange or wrong if the NTA had asked to interview him in Hausa. Some people on that thread acted as if the NTA had just a single channel. The NTA has numerous channels, including language channels and Nigerian languages are also spoken on some of their state stations.

Broadcasters often do multiple interviews with a guest once they've gotten him. A guest could do an interview in English and Hausa at one sitting.

THIS GOT ME THINKING!!!

MOST SUCCESSFUL NIGERIAN BRANDS IN SOUTH AFRICA.

1. Redeemed Christian Church of God

2. Christ Embassy

3. Living Faith Church

4. And hundreds of mushroom Nigerian prophetic churches and miracle centers, on every street throughout South Africa.

(B) MOST SUCCESSFUL SOUTH AFRICAN BRANDS IN NIGERIA.

1. MTN Group

2. Shoprite

3. Multichoice

4. Standard Bank

5. Remgro

6. Pick 'n Pay Holdings

7. Clover Industries

8. Naspers

9. SAB Miller (South African Breweries)

10. ESKOM Nigeria Ltd.

11. Protea Hotels.

As a Nigerian, I'm very proud of the global thrust of the Nigerian church but it's time Nigerian entrepreneurs think like Nigerian pastors.…., outside the box. We need to convert the miracle wand into real-time business empires that will grow the Nigerian economy.
Ask yourself who are the brain behind these brands ? The answer is simple they are the South african colonial master and after some times these brands will fizzle out. The problem is the black man problem and not religion has you are trying to postulate. I even see it as a positivity on Nigeria side as am predicting that the whites that are the promoters of the mtn, dstv et al will diversity and leave after sometime but the so call religion that you are trying to castigate just because you are of the other faith will impact positivity on Nigeria economy in form of religion tourism and bring home the much needed foreign exchange. Please op try and see the positivity in the export instead of the negativity. I guess if it's ansarudeen et al that's expanding to South african you will see nothing wrong with it

Paying large numbers of employees higher salary is better than enriching a few corrupt cabals and government officials in the name of fuel subsidy payment.
I disagreed with your point of view, as higher wages will bring about inflation. The government should try as much as possible not to bend to the demand of the labour as increasing the wages will bring about rise in cost of pms as the government will need to free funds from the current subsidy being paid currently on pms and this will lead to further hardship. The government should for now proscribe the labour union until permanent solution is found to the current economic crises

Politics / YCE, Yoruba Ronu Disagree On Alleged Disgrace Of Monarchs By Obasanjo by kiyosaki1(m): 7:27am On Sep 18, 2023
Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE), yesterday, berated former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, for ordering Oke-Ogun monarchs to stand up and sit down at an event organised by the Oyo State Government in Iseyin, Oyo State.

In a statement made available to The Guardian in Ibadan by its Secretary-General, Chief Oladipo Oyewole, the elders described the action as an open disdain for the stools, saying that it is a denigration of the status of Yoruba traditional leaders and a direct affront on the people’s culture, norms and values.

It read: “It is sacrilegious to brazenly and unabashedly ridicule second-in-command to the deity (Igbakeji Orisha).

The highly cherished heritage and cultural values of the Yoruba people must be respected by all and sundry.

“It is a desecration of the revered Yoruba stools and open opprobrium of progenitors of Oduduwa. It is demeaning and belittling.

“As elders of the respected people of Yoruba, we have the sacred duty to protect our culture, values, norms and traditions. We, therefore, caution the Owu chief to weigh his utterances.’’

The elders demanded that the former President apologise to the monarchs.

BUT another elite group, Yoruba Ronu Leadership Forum (YRLF), has said Obasanjo committed no crime by asking the kings to stand and sit.

Speaking with The Guardian, the President of the forum, Akin Malaolu, said: “The forum is worried about the misinterpretation of the actions of Chief Obasanjo in Iseyin, when he ordered sitting traditional rulers to stand up for a national authority at the occasion.”

He said: “What history has not taught to those who considered the ex-president’s action as a taboo because their understanding of a national authority in power is low and it cannot be undermined by traditional rulers.

“History gave us the events of the past and the present, which explained the demarcation between the national and the traditional. By national authority, the society at large is expected to respect the rule of law, which gives authority to the governors to install, upgrade, pay salaries and allowances as well as provide security as explained and guaranteed by the existing constitution of the Republic. The authority of a national government is of higher significance to the authority of the Oba or Emir, hence they could be dethroned or sent into exile.

“Those who saw Obasanjo’s intervention at the Iseyin forum should have been more circumspect in their releases of the video because the traditional leaders at the occasion realised their compound insult on the governor of the Oyo State by rising to give respect to whom respect is due.

“We must be guided by the traditional rules, that when a king is far from his domain and without his stool and not in his Palace, then both which are symbols of his authority cannot be used at the Iseyin occasion. A king is a king if he is in his own palace or on his own stool. The kings on that occasion at Iseyin, were invited by the Governor and such a provider to all they enjoyed as traditional leaders deserves the respect from the kings.”

Politics / APC Move To Reconcile Tinubu, Bode George Fails by kiyosaki1(m): 8:58am On May 15, 2023
An attempt by some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to reconcile a former deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Bode George, and the president-elect, Bola Tinubu has has failed.

This was after some members of the Governance Advisory Council in Lagos State moved to get George to visit Tinubu in efforts to reconcile both men.

George a prominent Lagos State politician and former military governor has always expressed opposition to Tinubu even as governor of the state.

George who spoke on Sunday during the visit, gave reasons behind his refusal to reconcile with the president-elect, even as the group urged him to support and collaborate with Tinubu as he assumes office on May 29.

The head of the Governance Advisory Council in Lagos State, Tajudeen Olusi, was among the members of the APC delegation, which was led by Retired Justice Isola Olorunmibe.

George, a fervent opponent of President-elect Bola Tinubu, claimed that he was unable to refuse their request for a meeting since he respected Olorunmibe.

He said, “They were led by Papa Olorunmibe, a 94-year-old man. In Yoruba land, such a man cannot say he wants to come to my house and I will say no. It’s not done in my culture. There were other elders from the PDP.”

George said he, however, turned down the request to visit Tinubu, saying he couldn’t do such because his party was in court challenging the President-elect’s victory at the February 18 presidential election.

He said, “First of all, they came to apologise for whatever they had done in the past, and I said I have moved on and have nothing against his person. We may disagree on policies but we must not be disagreeable.

“Secondly, they wanted me to pay him a courtesy call. I was like, what are you talking about? I am the man representing South-West in the national confines of our party and I’m a life BoT member. So, how do I add that together? We are still in court, how do I now say I want to go and greet him? Greet him for what? What will my party and my people think about me?

“Once we finish at the court, then we’ll know what to do. The PDP members and I present were very clear in our mind that going to him now will be a bit suicidal. I’m still an irridentist PDP man.”

Politics / Interpol Invites Adamawa REC Yunusa-ari by kiyosaki1(m): 9:53am On May 01, 2023
Interpol has summoned Adamawa Resident Electoral Commissioner, Hudu Yunusa-Ari over his alleged improper conduct in the state’s April 14 supplementary elections, Politics Nigeria reports.

A letter dated April 27, 2023, from the Interpol said Mr Yunusa Ari should report to the National Central Bureau in Abuja for interrogation, Politics Nigeria reports.

The letter duly signed by Garba Umar, an assistant inspector-general of police in charge of Interpol, did not state explicitly a date for the INEC chief to come forth. Mr Umar’s designation also includes coordination of election monitoring and evaluation at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.

Mr Yunusa-Ari make the news after he hurriedly announced Aisha ‘Binani’ Dahiru of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the Adamawa governorship polls, an act that electoral umpire said is contrary to the provisions of the Electoral Act since collation was still ongoing.

Mr Yunusa Ari has since left Adamawa on a chartered flight after the pronouncement of the illegal results.

The suspended and now fugitive REC of Adamawa State has written to the Police from his hide out. He has been summoned to the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja since April 17.

According to the people close to Mr Yunusa Ari said he was not on the run, adding that he became a target of powerful interest at INEC and Adamawa after refusing to compromise in the exercise. Peoples Gazette exclusively reported a letter Mr Yunusa-Ari sent to the nation’s top security agencies alleging two INEC national commissioners Baba Bila and Abdullahi Zuru conspired with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to rig the election.

Politics / Suspended Adamawa REC Writes IGP From Hiding, Insists He Did Nothing Wrong by kiyosaki1(m): 4:13am On Apr 30, 2023
•Says he acted in accordance with his powers under the law
The suspended Resident Electoral Commissioner for Adamawa state, Hudu Yunusa-Ari, has risen in his own defence over his April 16 declaration of Aishatu Dahiru (Binani) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the recent governorship election in the state.

Yunusa-Ari, who has since been in hiding, said in an open letter to the Inspector General of Police Baba Alkali that his action was motivated by the desire to save the democratic process, and was in accordance with the powers conferred on him by the Electoral Act as the Chief Collation Officer in the state.

The embattled REC accused the two National Commissioners deployed to the state to supervise the April 15 supplementary election of usurping his responsibility as Resident Electoral Commissioner and acting under the influence of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri who was seeking re-election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Fintiri was eventually declared winner of the election.

In the four-page letter dated April 20, Yunusa-Ari said that as the Chief Collation Officer in the state, he observed that results uploaded on the IREV portal were not signed by him and therefore were null and void.

He said the two INEC commissioners held a meeting with “my management staff in my absence and I did not know the outcome of the meeting, and there was a sudden move to tamper with the list of Collation Officers (COs) earlier released for the rerun election.”

Besides, he said the two commissioners were dishing out counter instructions to the ones he issued to staff on the collation of results following a security report “from the Commissioner of Police that Boko Haram insurgents from neighbouring states were recruited by some politicians to cart away sensitive materials and disrupt the elections.”

Continuing, he said: “In the evening, when I was preparing for state collation, all seats for ICCES (Interagency Consultative Committee on election Security) members were set, I got to the place and discovered that my name was replaced with that of the Administrative Secretary to take charge of collation.

“I then asked the National Commissioners to explain why they would exclude me from the process of collating results but there was no explanation. After some time, the National Commissioners declared that | was nowhere to be found.

“Immediately after the announcement, someone called me and informed me about the development. So around 1:00 am on Sunday 16th April, 2023, I came back to the collation centrer and saw some people sleeping, including the two National Commissioners.

“I addressed them that I was still the Resident Electoral Commissioner and that all stakeholders for the re-run election should return to the collation centre by 11:00 am on Sunday, 16th April, 2023.

“It is important to note that while the National Commissioners defiled the security concerns released by the Commissioner of Police, they purportedly did result collation at various locations by their self-appointed, unapproved and illegal collation officers.

“Meanwhile, I received reports that the collations at the various centres left much to be desired.

“So due to the pressure and the numerous calls I received from party agents and candidates of political parties threatening to cause mayhem for not having confidence in the collation of results at the various collation centres as directed by the National Commissioners, I looked inward and decided to call for all the results from the sixty-nine (69) polling units.

“To avert the impending danger of the delay in announcing the results of the supplementary elections, I received the authentic results submitted by the Presiding Officers (POs) from all the sixty-nine polling units and compared them with results that were uploaded on the IREV (INEC portal) and I realised that the results on the portal were different because the results on the INEC portal were not signed by me.”

Yunusa-Ari added that the action of the National Commissioners and threats by political parties over the process of collating results “created an atmosphere of violence that almost marred the election, most of the stakeholders were scared and refused to continue with the election process, including the Returning Officer (RO).”

He said he even organised a meeting with the chairman of Inter-Party Advisory Council, Mr. Bello Babajo, who assured him of reaching out to all the political parties to calm down the tension and to allow the process to be concluded swiftly.

“It was based on this, that I compiled all the polling unit results and declared the winner of the election based on the highest number of valid votes scored by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani,” he said.

“The breakdown was the valid votes scored by the two leading candidates in the supplementary election using the results from the polling units as collated into all relevant Forms EC8B, C,D and E respectively by properly and legally appointed and recognised Collation Officers and my humble self as Adamawa State Chief Collation Officer and Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC).

“Prior to the declaration, there was an intelligence report made available to me that the two National Commissioners were at the Government House, Yola, at 8:31pm on 15/04/2023 and held a meeting with the State Governor, Mr. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.”

Copies of the letter were sent to the INEC Chairman, Director General, DSS and the National Security Adviser, although the content suggests that it might have been meant for the Commission.

The letter is the first communication from the suspended REC since the April 16 incident.

Politics / Patience Jonathan makes Wike Gorvernor - Dino Melaiye by kiyosaki1(m): 7:45pm On Apr 19, 2023
The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, Dino Melaye has disclosed what former first lady, Patience Jonathan did to help Nyesom Wike become the Governor of River State.

He also revealed that former Governors of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, and Peter Odili also helped Wike in his political ambition.

Speaking via an interview on Arise TV Melaye stated that Jonathan spent her money, connection, and everything she had to ensure that Wike became governor.

The former lawmaker also claimed that Odili helped the Rivers Governor in becoming the chairman of his local government while Amaechi also made him the Chief of Staff.

He stated this while berating Wike for always mouthing off about people he has helped in the past whilst forgetting that others have helped him in becoming who he is.

According to Melaye, “Governor Odili made him chairman of his local government. So he has been helped by somebody. After Governor Odili helped him, Governor Amaechi made him chief of staff. Governor Amaechi helped him. Governor Amaechi nominated him to be a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Governor Amaechi helped him. Mrs Goodluck Jonathan spent her money, her connection and everything to make him the Governor of Rivers State.

“So everyone gets helped by one person or the other. But you don’t help people with the intention to enslave them, to control them and run their life and decisions. Once you give assistance to somebody, then you should allow the person to exist, but Wike once he assists you and you don’t do his bidding and you try to say I have an idea or decision, he would go all out and advertise you and announce what he has done for you.”
