apple08: Bro, dont let this agents give u all this crap that u have a student visa and u must a to and fro ticket, see forget agent and this transit visa issue, u only need a transit visa if ur transit hours exceed 24hrs in a country, u dont need agents, open google, check all the airlines u can, dey call dem one by one for phone ask dem, Emirates airline for example only has transit hrs of 6hrs max sometimes more, just tell them when u buying ur ticket that you need a ticket that has less transit hrs, finish. thats why i said u shuld storm the airport urself, dats if u stay in lagos sha oo. airlines have ticketing offices at the airport (intnl wing) and they are always open during normal working hrs, Mon-fri.. hope this helps..

I booked turkey air earlier and was excited for a good deal until I went to wakanow (agents I booked with) and they said I canr reavel with them cos I have a students visa and I can only fly them if I have a return saying some inaudible words

So my questions are
1- has anyone here gone on a virgin passport (virgin to schengen and North america) through Turkish airline
2 - which airline is least expensive without the hassles of transit visa.
I've heard of emirates, Egyptair, KLM( too expensive), British airways.

Will appreciate the advise.

I used KLM,you right about it being expensive though....Try Egypt air,Qatar or Lufthansa...if see anyone routing through U.S....run!if u enter u.s peren.....you will be deported!....But a trick I shared with house before is....if you can disable the cookies in your browser...its better...but you can try my idea....The airlines have been built such if you a're using Mozilla for example...you are kind of recognized as same person and each time you check....the price goes up...so decide with one browser on the airline,the date you wanna go and etc...now don't book on same browser....exit and use a different browser or another system....the price most time drops....
If you try this cooupled with booking late into the night...the price drop will be significant for you....avoid Friday or weekend if you can!
Watch out for U.S once again....and run

I have sent the proposal....wanna advise you don't lift from it so you don't fall into problems.....just use as a framework(and to all I av sent to)...very busy now...will help dig out the mail I used for them....send mails to them. tailoring each mail to sooth each supervisor's interest...to make it fast...have a 3 paragraph mail,first saying greetings and your background,second state you have interest in his research area and third...say you have read his publications and will be willing to work with him.
For every prospective supervisor:edit the second paragraph.I will advise you call before or after sending the mails to them...so they can take you serious!they receive a lot daily.
Then anyone that responds should be the one you will send the proposal to,not all of them.
Use the proposal as your joker for them!

They even asked the man is he was sponsoring someone dat CDHC asked for his act verification but cnt do it without his permission. It is dat consent u signed that made them call not for them to jump protocols. If ur sponsor's consent is not sort don't u think anybody can spy someone's act and use it?are bankers not humans?u can get someone in d bank give u someone's statement and even show u d signature na! Den u submit as sponsor but because dey must call d owner to confirm it show authenticity dat ist the sponsor is the real owner of d act...... U CAN NEVER VERIFY AN ACCOUNT WITHOUT D CONSENT OF D OWNER.. Not at dis fraudulent time... Anybody can call and claim CDHC...

No one is got anything to hide....you said this to me yesterday and I felt offended....I just let it pass maturedly...I have never had to do fake documents in life...so your statement was like an attack on my integrity....I am in Canada and I have nothing to hide...our arguments might be helping someone who isn't ready to the giant step just because he feels he can't control the third party's spending......period!

Except there is a Canadian visa officer on this forum; we can't be 100% sure or 100% not sure to which extent the documents or information we provide are verified. All we must advice is that everyone should ensure information provided are genuine.
On submission of our visa applications, we all signed an agreement that all information supplied were correct and also agreed to any penalty such as denial of trv if the information is deemed wrong.

I believe the right thing to point out to any prospective applicant is to ensure they submit legitimate and accurate informations that would not result in denial of trv if verification becomes necessary.

Bros.... The ideas that we all accept as standard came from arguments like this....then someone goes to make enquiries and tells us the actual...so this is healthy and necessary and also productive!
Some might have used a third party and it might not just be feasible to tell the person not to spend until you get your. TRV....so if justice camp is right...then the guy knows he stands no chance....so please don't let us see intellectual arguments as unnecessary....

My heart bleeds that we think someone has right to my account balance cos I filled an app form to travel to their country!even if they do(which I find hard to believe based on my experience)...I can tell its not happening at the Canadian embassies of countries that know their rights!
Guys..don't come with the mindset that these guys are superior....we are just products of a dysfunctional system.....I have observed their system....they have crooks too...the only difference is people pay for their offences....

If the embassy accepts the reason that your friend wants to give away his millions for you then fine but that is not the issue here.

Embassies verify documents and they don't need the consent of your uncle or whoever to do that because there is nothing illegal about it.

Embassies have the right to verify your documents, you gave them the right/ consent by signing that application form with your documents attached. They don;t need the consent of your uncle or whoever to do that.

Don't get too excited if you got away with it now, your documents are filed with them and all you need to do now is pray long and hard that they don't pick you out in future.

So it is wrong for a friend to sponsor me eventer if I established a reason??And you telling me that banks disclose amount in account without consent of the owner(even if it yes) Of which I know it's not absolute....they don't try it with some other countries I want to believe(finding out accounts statement without consent)And please that things they do to Nigerians aren't what they apparently try in other places

Nanana....I used a very close friend's account as one of my sponsors....and I can categorically tell you they didn't contact him or his account officer!You don't make statement and tell people to go research(it's called fallacy)...if u coming for a research based prog... You will know you ha've to back up any claim with evidence!
Secondly,do you know how weighty it is for banks to disclose bank accounts of say a sponsor who is your uncle in quote without his due consent?honestly,this task is easy for them to carry out in Naija cos of our criminal records....all the Africans in my class had less stress and verification exercise to come in......
So please explain how my friend's account wasn't verified?

We all know that this online route is still fresh and a lot is yet to be known about how the process goes....

Bros....you can't make an affirmative statement when you don't have "100%" evidence to back it up.....you can't tell me they verify all SOA....what I will think is they do when they notice a funny feeling about your application....with the complaints from them that they are under staffed....and mind you n.a. Because n.a. Naija.....to verify bank statements isn't an easy process as you think!it's a legal thing...and they have to always follow protocols...or else they can be sued!I think "if need arises" In your statement is more appropriate!
