grabeconnie:Discrimination is probably not the word but I will strongly advise you consider the rep of the school cos coming to Canada is just a tip of the iceberg....settling down in Canada is very much another...so some schools don't qualify you for post grad work permit. Which means you are sent back home after the program. So if you have plans of heading back home after your program, then you are good to go. But I get concerned these days cos I see a number of young guys that can be more useful back home using their prime years to evade Immigration. |
Hi Phyz, Saw that you asked for my contact...been a long while though...you can pm me if you still need any info from me...sorry about the delay. |

einsteino: Please house i need informed advice. i had all my mind set on university of alberta but as it is U of A isnt offering taught masters program and i dont think i am ready for the stress of research based masters. i stumbled into MUN(memorial uni) and the tution there is really cheap but one thing that scares me is its position on the world ranking (601) compared to U of A that is 96. my fear is, would i be able to secure a job in canada easily with a masters degree from MUNIn addition to what Oga Siga said...finish with Distinction in MUN....and place your cert side by side with 3.0 in U of A for a position. ...and tell me who stands a better chance from a "natural" standpoint. .lol |
abbyjo: Sent u a mail last week sir,kindly respond.Really?Didn't get any |
timmituyi: Hello Kjbobo,Okay. ..I am yet to receive it though |
saxywale: Forget about geology for now..the demand is poor, atleast in western canada. pet engr. is what you should be looking at.Boss.. I will report you oooo ![]() |

GboyegaD: That's so nice to know. Learnt you finished from Pharmacy however, I'm not sure I have much friends in your set except 2 of my roommates that were your set.Interesting..I backed up a lil and saw that the 'culprit':saxywale had a chat with you. ..he was the one I was referring to. ...lol...yup I finished a set after you guys. ..trust you are good. .. All the best bro |
GboyegaD: I can bet this is JB and I know you know too well that I no know book like una and as such, I no make 1st class. Make you and Wale go check una convocation brochure again oooo. Moremi G/H block babes indeed as you no gree rep Moz. Sure we will.A friend from Pharmacy school in Ife traced me through my posts on Nairaland. ..when I met the person in Canada. ..I was shocked! |
PlayPays: Hahaa! Haba?! What are you writing?! What you mean is what I don't understand. Everything I've written is not about anyone. If I need to tell you something I would direct it to you. What I wrote about arguments turning insults is from what I've witnessed here not this present arguement.Longtime....hope you doing good? |
Slimdel: Lol if only you know the true colour of some peeps here, you will know the ones that act like angels aren't and the ones that acts like tiger are angels, telling u from the lessons I learnt from what some peeps here did to me, the me I know will just ignore some things u said indirectly here cause seriously no one insulted any body here all that was said here was smooth and fine and both of us started it so please no hard feelings here broMadam Slimdel. ...when you go comot ![]() |
earthgreeners: Why comma come full your comment like water? You be case....longtime... Trust you good |
toucheli: i pretty much cant tell about those in london, but Canada's tax is more than that of u.s.Total taxes in Canada vary based on province..so you can't generalize Canada being more than U.S....for instance,Alberta is 5% as compared to 13% in Ontario or 15% in Nova Scotia |
OP,are you sure about the NETFLIX thingy?I have searched on Netflix and no results! |
pampem: Hi dear Bros / sis,As regards asking if you should leave your job...I don't beleive anybody can tell you here. ...you gonna ask God for counsel. ..met people of late who regret leaving naija...so If God backs you up and you have right convictions then go for it but if you are double minded about it...will advise you have a rethink. ...Just wanna advise that you should not state your masters in your application if you are going for another one...na red flag! Wish you the very best |
BaaleofMontreal: most schools in canada waive gre/toefl for Nigeria.TOEFL?Yes but GRE?are you sure?cos GRE and TOEFL arent testing same thing.most business related courses still request GRE except its below standard program |
Amefrica: Mehhn! Words can't express how glad and happy I am right now. After been denied US Student VISA (3 times) and Canada once, I still didn't give up. Mehhn! E nor easy oo..Congrats |
Finestlex: Been long I heard or saw a thing about you "uptosomething"... what's good..Happybirthday bro |
Amefrica: Yes sir!Congratsbro...Safetrip to Canny |
Amefrica: LOL! This used to confuse me too, but most times --- it means they stay in same flat but different rooms. You right..its same apartment...different rooms |
Now it makes more sense the saying that "Visa na just the first step"...please. ..up your game as you land. ...as you are enjoying Canny...please think long term. .the two years on your TRV "flies"...and if you don't have concrete plans....your post grad work permit will follow same trend....I am beginning to see there are quite a number of naija peeps running from province to province to evade immigration. ...if we don't plan...before you know it....it will happen! In the multitude of counsel. ..there is safety! Safetrip to Fall applicants...anyone coming to Lethbridge can buzz me...if you need help. |
chichi89: Thanks @akosh005. You're next by God's grace.Congrats sis |
bjoseph: I want to use this medium to appreciate those that assisted me when sojourning through application packaging and filling terrain. Special thanks to those who brought problems to be solved by the experienced clan (esp. Miss Bon, Chrigo, Justwise, Slimdel, Nayblet, Amefrica-now Canafrica, Newacca, Centennial Guy, Huzzie, Kjbobo amongst others ). It was from the responses/solutions made by the experienced folks to the questions asked by me and other people in the house that aided me all through my application. |
gavinmensah: Goodmorning blessed people. I want to thank everyone that has advised, spent their time to forward samples of documents, encouraged me. Miss bon, chrigo. Special thanks to slimdel annd chatwitfees(kesh). After 3denials.on wednesday I was sent medical instruction. Tho I dnt get the mail notification slimdel just asked me to check my cic account reluctantly I did. Nd behold It was there. Chatwitfees can't forget that word "don't fret" I made mistakes in my application but u encouraged me not to bother. God bless you all. Delay is not denial, denial is not finalCongrats man |
Finestlex: Been long I heard kjbobo... baba, only you na bad guys.. Ever loyal.. where have you been Mr kjbobo? How you. ..still in Naija?? My schedule has been thick...trust you good. Thanks for checking. |
Amefrica: Hey pal, long time! How do you do? My app is smooth by HIS GRACE.Congrats bro |
abisolmi: I worked at Amazon in the UK during my undergrad, it was tough, i was on weekend shift only and weekdays I stayed overnight sometimes in the Library to catch up with assignments. it is tideous, yes but not impossible and I did come out tops in my class. I am not saying it is easy, all i am saying is it is possible. I checked some school vacancies in Canada and they had a call centre that runs 3 hour shifts after classes so I am saying what i researched.Totally true...I currently work in a Pharmacy...and l do three hours daily...I think what we might need to cut down on...is frivolous times spent on social media...to be able to accommodate such work plus school time...but like Chrigo said...I will not advise jumping into working just because you have work authorization....please...the "assignments" are killing. ...secure your acada first....cos if you trade 10bucks per hour for good grades. ... ![]() |
miss bon: Daughter?congrats missbon..... |
