some people did not listen to the audio recording, but they rush in to make comments. the headline by SR is just so misleading. Dino was only explaining to audu the extent to which the case had gone and the fact that the arrested suspects had implicated the governor and Edward, saying they were paid 6.5m in govt house and that theres a building where edward hide his arms. lets not be fooled or misled by headlines, sometimes we have to read or listen carefully to d content b4 making comments.

I know kids like you will rush to comment on threads like this even when you have not the slightest idea what it takes to impeach the president. You think what it takes ends with the jokers you call Senators?...Now read and be informed!

143. (1) The President or Vice-President may be removed from office in accordance with the provisions of this section.

(2) Whenever a notice of any allegation in writing signed by not less than one-third of the members of the National Assembly:-

(b) stating that the holder of the office of President or Vice-President is guilty of gross misconduct in the performance of the functions of his office, detailed particulars of which shall be specified,

the President of the Senate shall within seven days of the receipt of the notice cause a copy thereof to be served on the holder of the office and on each member of the National Assembly, and shall also cause any statement made in reply to the allegation by the holder of the office to be served on each member of the National Assembly.

(3) Within fourteen days of the presentation of the notice to the President of the Senate (whether or not any statement was made by the holder of the office in reply to the allegation contained in the notice) each House of the National Assembly shall resolve by motion without any debate whether or not the allegation shall be investigated.

(4) A motion of the National Assembly that the allegation be investigated shall not be declared as having been passed, unless it is supported by the votes of not less than two-thirds majority of all the members of each House of the National Assembly.

(5) Within seven days of the passing of a motion under the foregoing provisions, the Chief Justice of Nigeria shall at the request of the President of the Senate appoint a Panel of seven persons who in his opinion are of unquestionable integrity, not being members of any public service, legislative house or political party, to investigate the allegation as provide in this section.

(7) A Panel appointed under this section shall -

(a) have such powers and exercise its functions in accordance with such procedure as may be prescribed by the National Assembly; and

(b) within three months of its appointment report its findings to each House of the National Assembly.

(8.. Where the Panel reports to each House of the National Assembly that the allegation has not been proved, no further proceedings shall be taken in respect of the matter.

(9) Where the report of the Panel is that the allegation against the holder of the office has been proved, then within fourteen days of the receipt of the report at the House the National Assembly shall consider the report, and if by a resolution of each House of the National Assembly supported by not less than two-thirds majority of all its members, the report of the Panel is adopted, then the holder of the office shall stand removed from office as from the date of the adoption of the report.

(10) No proceedings or determination of the Panel or of the National Assembly or any matter relating thereto shall be entertained or questioned in any court.

(11) In this section -

"gross misconduct" means a grave violation or breach of the provisions of this Constitution or a misconduct of such nature as amounts in the opinion of the National Assembly to gross misconduct.

Its not cheese afterall. The numbers and all. It will be easier to satisfy oliver twist than impeach Buhari.

I am sure even your SP and his corrupt goons don't know what it really takes. You are on every thread insulting the president. I think you have "over-done" this and its hightime you stopped. My brotherly advice for u.
If u understand mathematics u'll knw how easy it is to impeach president Buhari. From ur analysis it takes one third of d senators to sign a written allegation.from my analysis all d PDP members are for Saraki and only d PDP members are more than one third. Do ur calculation.

Politics / Re: How Senate Rules Were ‘amended’ For Saraki, Ekweremadu’s Elections – Clerk by kluwei: 6:25pm On Jun 30, 2016
So what evidence do u have against saraki and his deputy? We're their names mentioned in d police report? Why not conduct an investigation on who authorised d ammendment of d senate standing rules b4 commencement of any persecution.
dotcomnamename:
Some of you just been emotional over nothing..the law doesn't work on emotions..sorry!! Some wailers brain is too limp to understand that it is abuse of state institutions by the Executive in this case to reach selfish objectives. Wailers dont understand the genesis of this issue. Some senators actually raised alarm, they wrote a petition to the police and even approach a court and the judge said IN HIS OPINION, whatever happened there is their internal problems that is what Saraki and his group are quoting today.

The police after their investigations handed over the case file to the attorney general of the country to ascertain if a crime was committed, the attorney general now said a crime was committed and he decided to drag them to court. Saraki and his group now realised there are many problems facing the nation that deserves attention. The question you guys have failed to answer is, was the 2015 senate rules forged?

So forgery is an internal matter by elected representatives of the people who are expected to leave above board? Examine themselves . All your selfish comments are nothing but the manifestations of corruption , illegality, impunity, oiled by stolen funds fighting back. It unbelievable that any sane person will support forgery. This is a criminal offense if proven. It's unfortunately that's why this country will remain backward . Nobody is above the law and the level of desperation for position and power shown by Saraki and Ekweremadu is enough to for all reasonable men to check mate them because they are not doing it for the people but for selfish interest.

The senate standing rule section 110 was very clear and as a result put forward five provisions to be met if the senate standing rule is to be amended yet there was an amendment without due consideration to the said provisions. And we now have dishonourable men and women parading themselves as honourables , instituting shame and embarrassment to the nation even as far as the US. What is bad is bad irrespective of who committed it and when and where.

Forgery is an offense. Saraki and Ekweremadu have a case to answer. The argument that Ekweremadu was not invited by police does not mean that there was no forgery. The argument that the govt is gunning for Saraki does not prove there was no forgery. The senate standing rule section 110 was not met before the new amendment. This is a clear cut case of forgery and efforts should be made immediately to punish the culprits. Nobody is above the law. This should be a teaching moment for all the senators.
Politics / Re: For Ruling On Buhari's Certificate, Ademola Adeniyi Under Fire From APC Chiefs by kluwei: 3:04pm On May 30, 2016
HungerBAD:
I have said it before.

And will say it again, the Judiciary is Nigeria's biggest problem, followed closely by Corrupt Politicians. The worst Societies in the World, are those that have corrupt Judges who have been proven to be Bribe takers.

Saying Buhari does not have a Certificate, is tantamount to Donald Trump saying the President of the United States was not Born in the United States. This Judge with this Ruling, is only out to embarrass the Office and the Person of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria.

We will weed out all the CORRUPT JUDGES one by one and their JAIL TERM is assured, even if they eat papers for breakfast like Metuh, or be crying like a 5 Month Old like Kalu the Biafran.

Now to the Writer, insinuating this is somehow connected to the Vice President. Be Careful with the way you allow your conspiracy theory, overtake your common sense of reasoning.

The VEEPEE has no hands in this.

Lastly, let us even assume President Buhari is even not Educated, let us assume he was not a General, let us assume he has never ruled Nigeria before, let us assume he had not attended some of the best Military Trainings in the World.

Let us assume President Buhari is an illiterate Farmer.

This Illiterate Farmer is ONE BILLION TIMES more Intelligent, than the CLUELESS one with a PHD in Cluelessness.

To those Praying that somehow, this Judge will somehow MIRACULOUSLY bring GEJ BACK, it is tantamount to saying Pastor Ajiboye will convert to a CELE PASTOR.

Not happening.
Mr hungerBAD. Donald Trump has an evidence of him being born in the United States, all we ask is for President Buhari to show evidence of his certificate. is DT too much to ask?

I do! Very many Nigerians and even non-Nigerians do, far much more than those who do not and you know why?... its because he is an outstandingly intelligent professor of law, a senior advocate of Nigeria, and an annointed man of God.

The only people who do not take him serious are those who hate him, and the only reason they hate him is cos he was elevated by God to the position of VP of the FRN, together with PMB, and together they displaced a pathologically corrupt regime.
the same person who condemned d removal of fuel subsidy in d previous regime. At least as an anointed man of God U say he is,he should be sensible enough to apologize to Nigerians nd his predecessors for standing on their way on this issue since he has seen it's benefits nd changed his mind in favour or d removal of subsidy. Dts what men of God do.

oduastates:
The Subsidy regime became beyond repairs after Jonathan and Deizani ballooned the number of fuel importers from 5 to over 100 within 12 months.
Almost all the new companies were corrupt entities set up to collect and subsidies and subsidies alone.
Almost all lacked experience or history in the industry.
They came, they polluted and corrupted the Subsidy regime and they stole.
With this deregulation, most of the corrupt companies left will disappear.
The good companies, without corrupt government agent harassing them, can now build value chains on a deregulated downstream industry.
It is also appealing that these value chains can be built with or without crude oil from the Niger-delta.
Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Angola are not far.
If things go right, refineries, power plants, petrochemical and manufacturing can develop around the industry.
This is built on the hope that Nigeria does not experience a disastrous government like Jonathan again.

I have not even scratched the surface. A petrochemical value chain can easily supply 1 million jobs.
Nigeria spends a lot of money importing all these.

Ethylene and propylene are important sources of industrial chemicals and plastics products.

Butadiene is used in making synthetic rubber.

Benzene is a raw material for dyes and synthetic detergents

Manufacturers use xylenes to produce plastics and synthetic fibers .

Synthesis gas is a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen used to make ammonia and methanol.

Ammonia is used to make the fertilizer urea, bombs and other munitions

methanol is used as a solvent and chemical intermediate.

Olefins are the basis for polymers and oligomers used in plastics, resins, fibers, elastomers, lubricants, and gels.

You start making plastics, maybe you will start making home appliances like vaccum cleaners, computer keyboards, toys etc

Maybe printer inks and cartridges, pen and pencils
stop deceiving urself, our government only recognize 3 products from crude oil: petrol kerosene nd diesel nd that's all they are after...

The little explanation for that is simple. Previously, they were giving the marketers FX through CBN at the official rate of N197. But now they have asked the marketers to source for their own forex at the rate of N285 according to the Minister of state for Petroleum Resources yesterday on Channels TV. The PPPRA used the unofficial rate in the calculation.
. Why will NNPC sell for N145 when they get their FX through the CBN official rate of N199?
