Business › Why Is Dangote Products Expensive In Nigeria, But Cheap In Other Countries? by kmaster007(op): 8:23am On Mar 24, 2021
Someone said Aliko Dangote is the poorest man in the whole of Africa and a thief. Do you agree with the person?

The person also said Dangote steals from the poor to enrich himself. That all the raw materials used in producing cement are from Nigeria, yet a bag of cement is sold for 4,000 naira. The same cement is exported to Ghana and sold cheaper there.

Another person said, while other world billionaires are building electric cars, building houses in Mars, but Dangote is busy extorting money from poor Nigeria citizens.

A civil servant would work for a whole month yet can’t afford 5 bags of cement.

Nairaland General › Letter To The New Efcc Boss - What Do You Think About This Letter? (a Must Read) by kmaster007(op): 1:44pm On Mar 22, 2021
I want to urge the new chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC),
Mr. AbdulRasheed Bawa to ensure that his agency concludes investigation in cases before dragging suspects to court.

He should redeem the image of youths as the youngest man to be appointed by the Federal Government of Nigeria to head the anti-graft commission by ensuring that his fight against corruption is not selective.

The Federal Government, under the leadership of
President Muhammadu Buhari, should allow the newly-appointed EFCC boss to step on toes if truly we want to fight corruption in Nigeria.

The EFCC in the past, succeeded in convicting many fraudsters but has been unable to convict politicians.

Bawa should beam his searchlight on politicians and public office holders and uphold international best practices in fighting graft.

The EFCC needs to use capable criminal lawyers in drafting charges so the charges can hold before a court of competent jurisdiction.

Many Nigerians are wallowing in abject poverty because money meant for developmental projects end up in private pockets.

The EFCC should step up its game and warn his men, particularly the investigators, to consult their legal department for advice before putting any suspect in detention.

Also, he should note that debt recovery is not part of the EFCC job. Recently, Justice Iyabo Yerima of Oyo State High Court slammed the EFCC with the fine of
N200, 000 for violation of human rights because it was not part of its job to recover debt from any suspect.

Bawa should ensure that under his watch, the EFCC follows the rule of law. I wish him a successful tenure in office.

If You Could Tell The New EFCC Boss One Thing, What Would You Tell Him?
Celebrities › I Would Have Won The Grammy Years Ago If Not For Our Leaders – Burna Boy by kmaster007(op): 1:29pm On Mar 22, 2021
Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu popularly known as
Burna Boy , says he would have won a Grammy in 2013 if the country had a leadership that takes the youths seriously.

Recall that Burna Boy had won the ‘Best Global Music Album’ category at the 2021 Grammys. Speaking in an interview with BBC Africa on Saturday, the award-winning singer said he would have achieved the feat earlier if he had the right environment and support.

Below is what Burna Boy said:-

“If the environment was conducive and we had leadership who took the youth seriously and certain infrastructure in place, I probably won’t be winning a Grammy in 2021. I probably would have won in 2013 or 2014.

I’m basically the stone that the builders refused when it comes to, you know, being here (in music). I was very relieved because I deserved it. I was hoping a situation wouldn’t happen where I didn’t get what I deserved, “ he said.

Burna Boy said his experience should inspire others that they can succeed regardless of the odds. “I saw this moment happening back in 2012. I just realised it (the music struggle) was bigger than me. It’s like I used to do this on the streets and everyone is going crazy, but now I don’t see anyone better than me.

So, it’s like this is serious now. Anything is possible. Whatever situation you may be in wherever you find yourself doesn’t really determine your future or stop you from not considering your dreams as being dreams.

In the end, we’re in an environment that doesn’t believe in itself before they even think of believing in you.”

Even the likes of Wole Soyinka that started this cultism of a thing will now be shocked at what boys nowadays are doing just because they belong to a cult.

As a young guy who does not belong to any cult group , you won’t ever pray to have issues with a cultist because the outcome might not be palatable in the end.

I once have a friend who mistakenly got in a relationship with a cultist girlfriend in school.
When the cult guy got to know about it, my friend was kidnapped for 3days, he got badly injured.
I think it’s even okay to have issues with Police than have issues with cultists.

Guys, feel free to share your experience with cultists or if you have people close to you who once had issues with them
Crime › Re: Why I Want To Stop Doing Yahoo by kmaster007: 3:34pm On Mar 21, 2021
blazepascal:
Cyber crime popularly known as Yahoo Yahoo is a get rich quick scheme where people obtain money online from others by false pretence.

It is a form of stealing and it is wrong and evil no matter how people try to justify it.

When we take something from someone in an unjust way or manner, we have stolen from that person.

we scam people of their hard-earned money which is a form of stealing.we leave our victim in so much pain and agony that the victim might even end up committing suicide.

But know this, anything that has an advantage surely has a disadvantage

I lIVE IN FEAR

As a yahoo boy, i become unnecessarily afraid and always find myself hiding my gadgets especially from the police, my friends and other security agencies.

It Robs ME A Sense Of Responsibility

Being a yahoo boy can rob you of your sense of responsibility.

There is a special kind of satisfaction that comes to you in knowing that you're contributing to the society in a positive way.

Being a yahoo boy robs you of that satisfaction, because stealing and lying to make riches is a criminal offence and as such any citizen found wanting is an irresponsible citizen even when such a person may not realize it.

IT DULLS MY SPIRITUAL LIFE

There's no success in life that can compensate for failure at having a good relationship with God.

Sin keeps you from enjoying that relationship.

Yahoo Yahoo is a grevious sin because it involves taking that which doesn't not belong to you, that to which you're not entitled.

You cannot lie through out the day and then expect to have the spirit of God with you at night. since I started doing yahoo I don't go to church anymore. i love clubbing doing all sort of bad thing.

I FEAR IT MAY Lead To Terrible Consequences (Death, Madness, Imprisonment, etc)

If you think going into yahoo yahoo will help to elevate you from your current poor state then you are only deceiving yourself.

The Joy, fame, money and respect attached to being a yahoo boy will only last for a while, but the end is always destruction.

i could end up running mad, being behind bars or losing my life at the end

Anything that has an advantage will surely have a disadvantage. Yahoo may be sweet and enjoyable, but it comes with lots of pain and sorrow not only against you but also against your family members.

POISON

. we always end up having friends who get jealous of our money and then find means of ending our lives. Cases of youth being poisoned increases every day, always watch your back whether you are a criminal or not.

DRUGS

I waste money on drugs trying to feel confident not knowing they are slowly weakening their immune system

everyday I'm always tempted to start yahoo plus

see,If you're planning on becoming a yahoo boy , it is better avoid it.
If you are into Yahoo already, I suggest you stop now and look for a legitimate source of income.

No matter how far you have travelled the wrong way, you can always turn back and make amends.

here I some of my photos when I was an upcoming yahoo boy

Education › A MUST READ!! Why You Need To Be Careful With The Type Of Friends You Keep by kmaster007(op): 11:07am On Mar 21, 2021
Before King Ahmed of Ottoman went to war, he locked his wife (the beautiful Queen) in a private room and gave the key to his best friend Mousa and said: “If I’m not back in four days, open the room and she’s yours … “
He climbed on his horse and gallops off towards the battlefield. Half an hour later, the King noticed a cloud of dust behind him. He stopped and saw his friend galloping very fast towards him.

“What’s wrong ?” Asked the King. Out of breath, his friend Mousa responded: “You gave me the wrong key”

Whathuh?

Can you imagine

He didn’t even wait for the said 4days before trying the keys.

Be careful with the one you consider your best “friends” and whom you think you can entrust them with your hard earned treasure – they could be wishing you dead soon and hopefully inherit your God-given fortune!

...The word permission sounds too strong and the meaning in this context implies that the man has no say in his home.
It is very necessary to seek for your wife's opinion on such issues but it does not mean taking permission.
The most important thing for both is to know their boundaries and respect such.

Family › Does Man Need Permission Frm His Wife B4 Bringing His Siblings To Live Wit Dem? by kmaster007(op): 3:24pm On Mar 20, 2021
Ideally, decision-making should come from husband and wife but the question remains, should it be all decisions?

Decision-making should come from the wife and husband because you have become one. Not many people practice this law in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

Some people still practice the old way beliefs that a man must be the one to have the final say in any situation even without consulting the wife.

Someone asked if there’s a need for a man to take permission from his wife before bringing in his siblings.

I believe you have to consult your wife and take permission before bringing in any of your siblings because she owns the house, but a friend of mine said if he is to ask for permission for doing something, it shouldn’t be about bringing in his blood.

We all have different views and I’d like to hear yours.

So guys, Does A Man Needs Permission From His Wife Before Bringing Any Of His Siblings To Live With Them?

Let’s hear from you.
