Lionel Messi admitted he "misses" competing against Cristiano Ronaldo in Spain, and revealed he is considering a return to Argentina before he retires. Messi, a five-times Ballon d'Or winner, has begun 2019 in fine form with his Barcelona side running away with La Liga and through to the Champions League quarter-finals, with Real Madrid struggling having sold Ronaldo to Juventus in the summer. Ronaldo enjoyed huge success in Madrid, winning three successive Champions League crowns and, speaking on an Argentine radio station on Friday, Messi surprised listeners with a confession about his former rival. "I miss Cristiano in Spain," Messi told Radio C5N. "It was lovely having him here, even though it annoyed me seeing him win so many titles. It would be great if he was still here." Messi also returned to international action last week in a lacklustre 3-1 defeat by Venezuela, a game that was his first for the national side since he took a break following the 2018 World Cup. Argentina were knocked out of the tournament in the second round and Messi, who has still not scored a goal in the knockout stages of any of the four World Cups in which he has featured, was criticised by some fans. The 31-year-old said going from Barcelona to Argentina was difficult and blamed their poor performances in Russia on a swift transition from promoting younger players to take up senior positions in the team. "I think the generational change was very brusque," Messi said. "It should have been done slower. You need to give the kids time and confidence. The change was a really big one." Messi said he was still tortured by the loss of the 2014 World Cup final to Germany in extra-time and warned fans not to expect too much from Argentina at this year's Copa America in Brazil. "Do you know the number of times I've replayed the final and the chances we had? It would have been so different if we'd scored one of them," he added. "Being realistic, a lot of work is needed to be a powerhouse. These kids have played very few matches for the national team. We need to be patient and I have no doubt that we are going to be strong. |

Too many of us don’t give a rat’s ass what goes on in our bodies as long as we are still functioning. However, there is much more going on in our bodies that we should be aware of and funnily enough, what you think is your optimal level of functionality may be wrong because you are not taking conscious steps to look after yourself. What I am saying is that your body could function better if you could produce more of certain hormones, like dopamine. This hormone makes you dope (you see what I did there? #wink). 1.) Exercise regularly Did I just hear you groan? You must remember that there is no gain without pain so get off your butt and hit the gym. If you can’t afford the gym, get a fitness app. At least 20 minutes of aerobics will boost endorphin production and generally lift your mood. 2.) Eat more proteins If you did Foods and Nutrition (or even Biology) in secondary school then you may recall that protein is made up of amino acids. They are pretty important here because an amino acid called tyrosine can be converted to dopamine. Remember that animal protein is first class, meaning that it is more complete. So you should consume eggs and meat. Note though, red meat eaten in excess is not good for you. Poultry and fish are better bets. 3.) Sleep some more No matter how busy you are, if you cheat your body of sleep then it will not function optimally. Research shows that dopamine is typically released in large quantities in the mornings and in the evenings but if you don’t get enough sleep, you disrupt that routine. Therefore, try to go to bed and wake up around the same time. 4.) Get in the sun I can almost hear you say, “That is not a problem; no be Naija we dey?” Well, if you are the type who is indoors most of the time then this tip is for you. Your mood will definitely take a deep with minimal exposure to the sun. Therefore, go out more often to increase dopamine levels… just don’t roast under hot sun sha. 5.) Plug in some music Pleasure and rewards areas of the brain where dopamine receptors are found can be stimulated by music. One study saw a 9% increase in dopamine levels when participants listened to instrumental music they liked. 6. Connect with your zen…meditate Just kidding, I am not saying you should become a Buddhist but then meditation is extremely powerful. Meditation simply means that you focus your mind on a particular thing for an extended period of time. It could be anything but it should be positive. It may be hard at first because your mind will wander but practice makes perfect. Meditation is advised because it clears your mind and makes dopamine production easier. Let’s all get started! |

Caring for our skin is one of the most important responsibilities we have because the skin is an essential part of the body organ. The more you pamper your skin, the more glowing you see it become. Dermatologists have shared different life-saving suggestions to maintain a shinning and flawless skin. From my research, I have gathered some important tips to help you explore the beauty of your skin. So let’s consider these tips. 1.) Wash your face every morning Most of us feel that it’s less important to wash the face when we are awake. Washing the face to get rid of the toxins we garnered over the night is one sure step to maintaining the skin. 2.) Sunscreen before you step out The sun is one of those factors that pose a very big threat to our health, making it age quickly. Sunscreen is a cream or lotion you rub on the skin so as to protect it from the scorching effect of the sun. But this is one of the things we don’t pay enough attention to. 3.) Eat more greens One problem most of us have is that we prefer rice and beans to green vegetables, although it costs a lot to prepare this meal. However, green vegetables help your skin to glow more than you thought. 4. Don’t over-exfoliate Did you know that heavy washing of the body washes away important agents that can help it fight against inflammation? One dilemma we have is that we believe that using soap always to wash the skin is the best way to remove bacteria from it. But in reality, that’s the opposite. Also, you don’t have to use heavy fragranced soaps because they irritate the skin. 5. You don’t drink a lot of water You would rather go for alcoholic drinks or caffeine instead. But those things we substitute for water are not the best since they dehydrate the body. |

Many years ago, the Nigerian Music industry wasdominated majorly by Male Artistes eating over 95% of the Cake but lately, the female acts are doing fantastic and are also getting their own fair share of the Industry cake too. For some years back now, Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade are the 2 Major female acts while some few others are doing their best to have a big break but 2018 saw Simi and Teni becoming a huge force to reckon with in the Naija music space home and abroad. Just like what happened to 2baba and D’banj when Wizkid & Davido hit the Music some years back, it seems something like that is about to happen to Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade as Simi and Teni are definitely not here to joke this 2019. Well, Today, judging by their Songs, Freestyles and Stage performances Between Teni & Simi – Who Do You Think Is More Talented? We will like to hear from you all on this. Drop your comment |

No matter how addicted you are to a particular team and the game, there is always a team you can never support no matter what for one reason or the other. If I am right, I know Messi fans will never support any team Ronaldo is playing for and vice versa. The rivalry in football is so strong and real and that is one of the beauties of the game. Me, no matter what, as a Manchester United fan can never support Chelsea FC even if they are playing against Eyimba FC of Aba. I’d want Eyimba to flog them mercilessly. Yes, that’s how much I hate The Blues. What about You? Which Team Is The One You Can Never Support No Matter What. |
Do you guys agree! Messi World greatest of barcelona but not for Argentina. That why he cant play in other league like cr7.. Like for Cr7 Shares for Messi.... |
Science has told us that genetics, a sedentary lifestyle, diet and sleep habits can bring on hypertension but did you know that there are more? Let’s take a look at 3 more that most people don’t know about. 1. Improper readings Sometimes, when you visit the pharmacist or doctor to get your blood pressure reading, there might be certain external factors that can cause anxiety and make your blood pressure spike at that moment. Before you know it, the physician may declare you hypertensive and then blood pressure medication is issued to you when there is really nothing wrong. This is why you should have your own device at home. When you are relaxed in the morning, you can take the reading and compare it with what the doctor says. 2. Over-the-counter drugs At times we take matters into our hands and self-medicate for minor aches and ailments. However, experts say that some of these drugs can cause a sharp increase in your blood pressure. This is why you should not self-medicate. 3. Drinking habits I don’t just mean alcohol. Medics say that even caffeine can increase blood pressure. Doctors recommend that alcohol and caffeine (as found in coffee, green tea extract, and similar foods) should be cut down to the barest minimum. This article once more reminds us how conscious we must be of what we ingest and to take due care of our bodies. To avoid any ailment creeping on you, ensure that you see your doctor regularly. |
There is a fine line between being a good listener and just waiting for someone to finish speaking so you can reply. In the latter, you don’t pay attention to what the person is saying because your mind is fixed on what you want to say. When you are a good listener, it eases communication and encourages your partner to open up to you some more. How then can you become a better listener? 1.) Put aside distractions If you were holding on to your phone, put it down. If you were watching TV, switch it off. Even if you were thinking of something earlier, tune out of it and focus your attention on your partner. 2.) Do not interrupt You don’t know how long it may have taken your partner to speak out. So once the flow has started, don’t cut it even if you have a different opinion. 3.) Show that you are following At appropriate times, nod or say things like ‘yes’ or ‘uh-huh’. It encourages the person to keep going and assures your partner of your attention. Maintain eye contact too. 4.) Ensure that you understand what is being said If you find yourself lost at any point, instead of just going with the flow, gently interrupt to seek clarification. 5.) Watch your temper If what your partner is saying is beginning to anger you, try to keep calm and hear him out. He may have a point that you never realized before. More so, cutting him off in anger tells him not to express himself again. 6.) Take the required action After listening, there must be a required action. It could be to explain yourself, proffer a solution, advice, or to apologize. You don’t just listen without following through with the right action. Listening is a skill that is honed over time. Keep doing your best to get better at it. |
After taking to a highly trending diss track to accuse 2Face Idibia of being a gay, Nigerian singer, Blackface has now tendered an explanation as to why he went as far as calling 2baba gay. According to him, it’s normal. During an interview with LIB, he defended and justified his action by saying the fact that he called 2Face gay may not actually mean that 2baba is gay. He claimed that it is normal for artistes to say things like that in a diss song just to get to the emotions of the dissed artiste. He noted his reason for doing the diss track to be a clapback at 2baba. “Yes, I called him Gay. It’s normal in music when yabbing someone, people have been doing it for ages. I can abuse his mother and say anything, it’s normal. He’s been taking shots at me with his ‘Oyi’ and other songs, so it’s not a problem at all. I’m not like him that’s been taking secret shots at me for ages. Go and listen to ‘Oyi’ he’s taking shots at me.” “But he’s using the Idoma language. ‘Oyi’ means male. If you listen to ‘Only Me’, the ‘I no say no be everybody sabi play ball’ line is a shot at me. If he’s bold enough, he should grant an interview to address the issue but he won’t.” |
Hi Guys!! Most guys often experience erection in public place but controlling it so people won’t see it might be a very difficult task. |
Things have gotten really ugly since after Blackface decided to launch a war with a former band member, 2Face Innocent Idibia. According to Blackface, 2Face is not as innocent as his name suggests. In fact, he’s super evil! Not able to take any more of Blackface’s crap, 2Baba came up with a story that almost all who read it have found very hilarious. While he did not deny that “African Queen” was written by Blackface, 2baba noted that Blackface did not believe in the song. Therefore, Blackface sold the song to him for just N150 some 20years back. However, after he went solo and produced the song with Kennis Music, Blackface came to him and gave back the N150 he was paid for the song, demanding for the song. There was no way to give back the song to Blackface. More so, N150 had become less than a rough sheet of paper to 2baba. So the deed had been done and there was no possible reversal. That was how things went south between him and Blackface which has now resulted in a WAR. It's been wondered by many fans who will win this war and how dirty it will get. 2Face has already been tagged “gay.” We keep watching. |
Fights are inevitable in relationships and marriages. Fights occur in relationships as a result of differences. But most parents have summoned the immeasurably needed courage to overcome their differences so that scars won’t be left untreated. Here are, though, some things parents tend to fight about. 1.) Sex Sex is one of the most important things partners always vent into. But because of being a primary caregiver and/ or caring for other imperative stuff for the benefit of the family, the woman or man may feel so tired that sex is completely ruled out at the end of the day. 2.) Money This is also close to sex. Money is as important as sex in a relationship. Most families today have problems because the woman feels the man doesn’t always drop money for the family. But mummies, because of the country’s economic system which is nothing to be written home about, it is important we understand that our daddies are trying. 3.) Romance Over his busy schedule, he may not think of always giving some romantic gestures and stuff like that. But because you desire it so much, you may think he is flirting with or dating someone other than you. 4.) Quality Time Another thing that could lead to a fight in a relationship is that one person may feel the other is not spending enough time with them. May he be that he doesn’t enjoy the relationship anymore? Or does he enjoy an outside relationship? All these may be the questions that may be roving in your mind. If care is not taken, you will put be the relationship in jeopardy. 5.) Jealousy This could come subtly but will become manifest like a monster seed if we allow it to grow, thus causing trouble to us. You may have the feeling that your partner still has some intimacy with his/her ex. You can even get jealous of your partner’s co-worker, especially if the person in question is a member of the opposite sex. 6.) In-Laws Whether you like it or not, your parents or those of you partner will play a very big role in your relationship, even if you are not yet married. She may tell you to walk up to her parents and present yourself as her fiancé. But, you argue that it’s not the right time. This is another jeopardizing situation. 7.) Visitors He always has visitors on Weekends and because of that, he doesn’t give me the attention I need. He doesn’t have the right to give more attention to his visitors than me because I ought to be his number 1. If you don’t open up on how you feel, be sure that the relationship will definitely hit the rock without repair. 8.) Sleep and Rest He is just returning from work and feels completely tired. But you feel it’s time to discuss some issues with him, which may even seem irrelevant to him. However hard you try, you don’t get enough attention, if at all he will give you. This may push you to the wall and you may start thinking that he longer has even a minute time for you. If care is not taken, fights can erupt. * So parents please don’t allow fights to erupt in your relationship like a volcanic action, especially for the sake of the kids. The solution to all these problems is that you ought to speak up on what bothers you. |

Star has just surprised fans and consumers with an all new Burna Boy commercial as brand ambassador. As expected the new ad has generated a lot of buzz and here are the 5 reasons why we love the new commercial: 1.) That Burna Smile. Burna may be Nigerian music’s bad boy, but you have to admit, he has one heck of a dreamy smile. It’s no surprise he’s got Steflon don drooling all over him. His charm and charisma are on full display in this new ad and his electric smile just elevates the entire commercial. Awesome stuff! 2.) The Epic Jingle Every great commercial is accompanied with a great jingle, and this is no exception. In this new ad, Burna not only stars but he also sings, with his impressive vocals and catching melody accompanying every scene. Themed around one of Star’s payoff lines – “Come to the brighter side”, the jingle is very reminiscent of some of Burna’s older tracks but also unique in its delivery and extremely catchy melody. We likey! 3.) Blue is the new black Colors have a way of making an impression on you, and the clever use of colors in this new commercial should be praised. Star has been repping the classic blue hue since we can all remember but never before have I seen a Star ad that applies the blue color in a way that is both subtle and remarkable. Often we see brands overdo it and use colors in very unnatural ways. However, Star gets it spot-on, utilizing the blue color only where necessary, never allowing the shade to overstay its welcome. Blue, definitely, is the new black. 4.) Burna had to Zanku In another instance, this actually may have come off as cringe-worthy, but maybe it’s Burna’s charm, Star’s brand affinity or just our love for music and dance, but somehow the scene where Burna starts to Zanku may just be the best part of this ad. Besides, it wouldn’t be a great Nigerian commercial if we didn’t see some energetic Nigerian dancing, so Gbe body e! 5.) The Steflon Don Effect Let’s be honest Burna looks a happier man since he and Steflon Don became an item. His love for his British bae has been on full display in the last fewweeks and it’s no surprise Burna was in such an upbeat mode all through the ad. This may be a stretch but we can bet our last dollar that Steflon Don was probably behind the scenes cheering her boo all the way. Their love seems to be going on strong and they are certainly not keeping it On the low. |
First dates are usually emotionally charged as you both may be nervous or excited. This atmosphere can make it highly difficult to sustain a conversation and before long, the awkward silence sets in. With these questions, you won't have to remain at a loss about what to say during the first date. You should note that you are not meant to charge through as though he is on a hot seat. Let them flow naturally, depending on what direction the conversation is taking. 1. What is your typical day like? With this question, you get to learn lots of things about the person. You will know about the person's job, preferences, and perhaps, hobbies. This question alone can open up a lot for you two to talk about. 2. What are your pet peeves? Of course, you should seek to know what ticks him off then you will see how much you have in common. 3. What fictional character do you like best? If he seems to be a movie buff then you can ask this. It will give you lots to talk about and gives you insight into his character. 4. I read. . . . What do you think about it? If he seems like a reader then you can talk about an interesting article or book you just read. 5. What was the best part of your childhood? Asking him to tell you what his childhood was like may be a dead-end question so being specific could give you some interesting questions. 6. What projects are you working currently? If he seems to be highly career-oriented or talks about how busy he is, try to know what he's got on his hands at that time. First dates don't have to be so scary. You can have a great time by asking unusual but insightful questions |
We all rejoice when we are blessed with a newborn baby. And we want to do our very best to give them beautiful names. Choosing a very good name for a child is one of the core responsibilities of responsible parenthood as it’s an everlasting gift they could give. Responsible parents do their utmost to leave no stone unturned by choosing good names for their kids because kids are actually affected by their names. For example, we all know how a child feels about the name Abraham. But have you ever heard parents call their kids Eve? This is impossible because of the evil action our first human mother took. Here are some good names you can give to your kid(s). In addition, their meanings are also given. 1.) Abigail:- Abigail is one of the famous names ever used in human history. The name is given to a female child and it means “a father’s joy”. 2.) Gabriella:- You passed through pains before giving birth to your child? You can envisage how God helped you despite what others thought—that you wouldn’t be able to give birth to that daughter of yours. This name is as precious as a refined gold that has an immeasurable quality. Gabriella means “God is my strength”. 3.) Kate:- This is an uncommon name in Nigeria, but one of the beautiful names you can give your kid. The name means “purity”. If you love purity, think of giving this name to her. 4.) Jaiyesimi:- This made it to our list of beautiful and good names. The name is common among the Yorubas, meaning “enjoy life peacefully”. This name reminds your daughter or son that in life, no good results come from not allowing sleeping dogs to lie. 5.) Hannah:- A sweet and angelic Hebrew name which has been used for eons of years. The name means “gracious”. You can think of giving your baby girl this name, letting her know that you always express graciousness to God for having her. 6.) Rachael:- You so much love purity, spiritually and otherwise. This could be a nice name to give your kid. This Hebrew name, derived from one of the wives of Jacob, means “purity”. 7.) Adaku:- How beautiful this name is! Did your giving birth to your baby girl bring wealth to the entire family? You haven’t done wrong if you gave this name to your girl child. It has its origin fro Igbo and one of the nicest names they have ever called their daughters. 8.) Helen:- This name has become very popular for centuries because of the meaning attached to it. This female-given name means “the shining one”. 9.) Vivian:- Another name that is on the rise. The name means “alive”. This may remind your child the story you told her of how God preserved her alive despite so many difficulties and hardships in life you experienced before giving birth to her. 10.) Joseph:- I know this name may remind you of the boy-turned-wealthy man who was sold to the Egyptians. But you recall what later happened, right? That name tells you how powerful God can instantly turn things around, especially for your kid who bears this name as the meaning of the name is “ May Jehovah adds or increases”. |
