Hello gurus and everyone in the house, I've a problem is my farm. Whenever I hatch the frys are OK for about 10days then after they start to die in massive numbers and I can only survive about 5% to 7%.

My water pH is 7, I siphon every morning change their water every morning, I do flow through and change/wash their vat every 4 days.

Before they start to die their colour will change from black and they look like fish that has no blood or strength.
Pls help it urgent.

The pH of your water is 7 doesn't mean your water is alright.
I'll advise the following:
1. Try to do a full analysis of your water.
2. Also test the water for bacteria (especially coliform bacteria).
3. Make sure you get good broodstocks.

Buy agricultural lime.
Directions:
1.Get a 20 liter paint bucket, fill it with water about 10 liters.
2. Put about 15cups of agricultural lime in the bucket of water and mix thoroughly.
3. Open the source of the water( where the water pumps from) and pour the agricultural lime mixture.
4. Leave for 24 hours.
5. After that is done, pump out the agricultural lime mixture, this should take an hour or two.
6.This should stabilize your water pH for 6 to 12months.

Great bosses I greet una followed dz trend late but read from 0-200 my question goes to Robosky,ab1x and other Hatchers from what I have been reading you have all stated to have the capacity of hatching at least 20,000 frys-fingerlings..I base in Lagos have been hatching for some years but packed up due to inability for my Fry's to survive.... Please the thing that baffels me most is that I have not even hatched up to 4000 fingerlings not to talk of 10 or 20,000 although I hatch without any machines and advance tools like The biodisc I just got to no about thanks to the trend...
My questions are thus
1) what is or are your secretes.
2) do u use any tool(machines) to aid your hatching..
3) how many brood stock gives you the said amount..
4) can u give us break down of how you hatch, methodology,pics and maybe videos

@Mr Omoh, you do not need any special equipments for setting up a hatchery unit.
Videos and other form of tutorials might give you a head start but it'll never be like learning from the person who has experience in that area.
You can visit other farms to see how theirs are been done then add the knowledge gained to good use in your farm.

The flow is very good, I remove net after 25 to 27 hours.The water usually is a little milky when removed but after 1hour it becomes clean. I use bore-hole water on them. I do start my feeding on the evening of the third day of hatching.

1. The water isn't meant to be milky, reduce the water to a certain level, then add clean water.
2. Make sure you siphon their dirts everyday.
3.Do not over feed
4. Flow through is very important, if you can do it overnight for them...it'll help alot.
5. Make sure they're not too much in a pond.

You can try these options;
1. Remove the battery, plug in your charger to your laptop, power your pc and press and hold the power button again for one or two minutes. This will drain the charge in the power button.
2. Locate your ram, remove it and clean the ram slot or put the ram in another port.
