Zappacosta & Drinkwater are Chelsea's players. The club is working hard to get Ross Barkley before the transfer window ends, but the player is not fully convinced yet. [The Telegraph] 1 Like

Bimffo: From what I understand he's interested in joining a club that can offer him the opportunity to play in midfield. He doesn't want to play the wing-back role as will most likely be required of him at Chelsea. He believe he can affect the game more breaking deep from midfield with his outrageous pace. Unfortunately for him, Chelsea already have Kante, Bakayoko, Fabregas and most likely Drinkwater in that department. The hype surrounding him is because of the performances he put in for Arsenal towards the end of last season, and they came with him playing as a WING BACK! BUT... he wants to play in the midfield. How THICK is this guy! |

Just read Keown's comments on why Conte and Chelsea have not sent anyone to Brazil to speak with cry baby man child Costa. Why should they? He's made his position clear he thinks he's been treated like a criminal. Now I know prisons are soft but that must be a real nice prison. Let's face it for all his hard man image he's a wimp. Just make sure Roman sets his lawyers on him for breach of contact and take him for everything he's worth then perhaps he can live with mummy again. As a working man I'm sick of these pathetic over paid footballers who cry and moan lime baby Costa. Someone needs to make a stand so that they think twice before spitting the dumb dumb out and start crying. There's millions of kid particularly in Brazil Living on waste sites sleeping in the streets and yet this powder puff arrogant egotistical wimp behaves like a spoilt little child. Shame on you Costa you wimp. Costa up there with the most disrespectful players ever to play in the Premier League, Chelsea should cut him off... Altogether.. Why would Athletico Madrid or any club even want a nasty attitude lack of respect player like him. 3 Likes 1 Share |

diggz: Look at the difference between Matic and Costa. Matic was respectful and professional, turned up to training every day, went about his business quietly and the club showed him the same respect back by granting him the move he wanted... Costa however has tried to make the club look stupid thinking a move to Atletico was already guaranteed, then Atletico got banned, kept Griezmann and now refuse to pay Chelsea's asking price. I hope Chelsea sticks to their guns and continue to reject any offer that doesn't meet their asking price. Costa's tactics in trying to maneuver a move back to Atletico have severely backfired so far. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

A man was taken to court for calling a Honourable Senator a Pig. He was a first offender and the judge was in a good mood and decided to show mercy. So he discharged him after warning him to desist from unguarded utterances in future. The man removed his cap and thanked the benevolent judge profusely. 'Thank you, your lordship. Honestly sir, I didn't know it was wrong to call a Honourable Senator a pig. I won't do it again. I am sorry'. 'It's okay', said the judge, 'you may go' 'My lord, may I ask a question, sir?' 'Feel free' answered the judge. 'Now I know it's wrong to call a Honourable Senator a Pig. But is it also wrong to call a Pig Honourable Senator?' Amused, the judge replied 'I don't know why you would want to address a pig as a senator. But I don't think the pig would mind. It's not unlawful, by the way'. Yes, you can call any pig Honourable Senator ' He smiled and nodded, then he turned to look pointedly at the Senator and said 'Goodbye, Honourable Senator'. 11 Likes 3 Shares |

That's the Nigeria our so called leaders left for our generation and the ones to come. But we can change it if we the youth come together as one. But first we have to jettison partisan politics, ethnic bigotry, We must chose our battle wisely, and be tenacious, without ethnic bias, else we will continue to turn in circle every 4 yrs. it has been the same story since Independence. Buhari Protest: THINK!!! PICK YOUR BATTLES. Let Yorubas Handle This. Can we be smart about this for once? Can we use our heads East and South of the River Niger? Can we just play the fool for once and end up as actually smart? Buhari is a product of Northern grievance. I have written endlessly on this. The North feels cheated out of power which has led to Boko haram etc. They also believe their backwardness and destruction of their lands and death of their people is the fault of the south. Their warped thinking blames us. The great PDP was sacrificed on the altar of the Northern angst. Muazu that would have inherited the presidency from GEJ sacrificed his "heritage" just to placate his people. GEJ and Abdulsalam and and the the nation's power brokers all sat in Aso Rock and made the sacrifice. It is not that they like Buhari or hate GEJ. You saw the welcome of GEJ in Kano. Today, with all the tension in the land, Yorubas have kept quiet. Now again Igbos are the ones going "live" and rioting to remove Buhari. They are the ones leading "resume or resign". The Northern clerics and their almajiris are seeing this. They have been listening to Radio Biafra, watching Nnamdi Kanu and now Igbos are BEING USED to fight Buhari... fight the North as they see it. Why cannot some people sit and think. Is Falana dead? Has Tunde Bakare become cripple? Has Wole Soyinka returned his Nobel Laureate award? Is Punch and Tribune and all Yoruba papers out of ink? All the Yoruba voices are silent out of tact and brilliance and intellect. But some people think it is their head that should be used to break coconut for Tinubu and Osinbajo to make coconut "candle" and coconut rice. If this goes awry and the Northern clerics begin their preaching, like 1966, guess who they will blame for trying to take power from them? The Yorubas that will directly benefit are "kprorring" and folding their hands across their chest and hands gripping their lips together in silence. Other "constitutional voltrons" are risking the safety of our people up North perhaps for peanuts paid surreptitiously to a PROFESSIONAL DEMONSTRATOR from Kogi and or an ambitious Igbo man whose activities will be interpreted as the actions of all Igbos. (I have no problem with ambition. I actually like this chap. But some people aren't thinking) My point? We have NOTHING TO GAIN from a Buhari return. We have NOTHING TO GAIN FROM A BUHARI RESIGNATION. El Rufai and Tinubu will be the beneficiaries. Everything will remain the same. However, it will be on record that Igbos (interpreted as all of the south not Yoruba) will have inherited hate and anger for taking power from the North and CHEATING THEM OF THEIR TENURE. It is time for Ohaneze and Igbo senior voices to tell some people to stop risking lives. LET YORUBAS AND HAUSA-HAUSA FULANI face their Aso Rock "Game of Thrones". For the rest of us, Let us wait for 2019 and see what we can do. Fighting over Buhari resuming or resigning simply shows people have no idea how to PICK THEIR BATTLES. - Ena 116 Likes 14 Shares |

nuttyhnic: I thought I was the only one that saw that. The hypocricy of some Nigerians is just mind Boggling. There is something tragically wrong if a nation of 200million need to wait for one person before making progress - those who submit to this convoluted thinking are the real problem of Nigeria not Buhari. So what happens to NIgeria if he passes on do Nigeria also go with him. Good governance and sound leadership only emerge in a setting where there is enduring institutions of governance. The kind of governance that depends on the life of one person no matter how credible is bound to come to grief sooner or later. This is the cross we bear for playing the ostrich to the imperative of doing the needful. 3 Likes |
