Politics / Feudalism Has Come To Stay In The South West, Thanks To Tinubu. by knightsTempler: 5:51pm On Oct 29, 2020
I have fought against feudalism in the North and its spread to the south.... ( Sage Obafemi Awolowo, 1962)

It has spread to the south in our time.... thanks to your Jagaban.... poverty has been weaponized and people have lost the standard requirements for leadership in Yorubaland in exchange for a mediocre cold and cynical to the sufferings of people.

Garrulus capitalist:

Baba Fasorati's daughter was murdered by suspected herdsmen.... he said where are the cows....

People were harmed at Lekki protest... he said... they must be questioned about what they were doing there.

Osun said they did not want a godfather placing ajeles in their state to fleece it.... He stood in front of one of its monarch and boasted that the state is not as rich as him... that which money did they have....

Obasanjo complained about how nepotism has become a shameless thing in current governemnt... he replied.... when you were running the show... who disturbed you or forced their views on you.... ( meaning mind your business and let Buhari exploit others as he sees fit)

Infiltrarion into farms.... kidnapping and raping of people.... he had nothing to say... Edo election, he found his voice and reminded Edo people not to vote for Obaseki because he was not loyal to his godfather and the power sharing formula agreed ( nothing to say about the effect of his leadership on the people... good or bad)

Second republic... leaders under Awolowo invested in PLC's under Odua group of companies and used the money to produce public housing.... education.... health and Agriculture.... His own leutenants rejected social service leadership and fleeced their states while he takes commissions as tax master and built a private empire in energy, construction and real estate

Yoruba people are suffering serious hardship like never before since return to democracy.... it doesnt bother him as long as his position of influence with the help of an oppressive government is not threatened.

Politics has become family affair... in-laws in public office, daughter is iyaloja.... wife is senator...

Once had a birthday celbration and forced all local governments to donate millions in funds meant for public service to party.

And someone somewhere calls him a Yoruba leader because of the peanut he gives to buy support .... many alatenujes feeding from his table have become spokesmen because they hope one day to gain political appointment when he becomes president after a Fulani in their dream.

Really twisted.... the only solution is autonomy and retraction to the philosophies of founding fathers of modern Yoruba nation in the 1950's

Everyone is trying to shift blame. Yesterday, Sawonolu said on CNN that it’s the military, today the Army said it’s the Lagos state government that invited them. Tomorrow another story will creep up. But one thing is sure, the blood of the innocents can never rest till justice prevails.

OPEN LETTER TO THE NORTHERNERS

LESSON TO THE NORTH
Dear North.
Below are the photographs of nine SARS Officers accused of killing innocent Nigerians.

The suspects and the victims are all southerners. The SARS officers are not Muslims. The Media company exposing the story is a southern media company.

Today, we have a collective reasonable decision coming from the SOUTHERN YOUTHS demanding for Justice for the victims of SARS OPPRESSORS, demanding adjustment and reform of the Nigerian Police. The beautiful part of it was when the protest erased ethnicity, political and religious differences.

The concerned southern governors and their state assembly members supported the staged protest.

The Vice president of Nigeria Osinbajo, Speaker Federal house of representative Femi and most southern celebrities supported the protest. All because they want sanity in their region, because they meant well for themselves and that they are quick to identify with any challenge disturbing their peace.

You guys have earned my respect. I've seen the reason you all want to get separated from Nigeria. I am humbly impressed. You really have a good reason.

WELCOME TO THE NORTH

In the North, it is prohibited to criticise government, if the president is a Northerner and a Muslim.

In the North, it is forbidden to demand for your own safety against Boko Haram, Bandits, Rapist, Kidnappers ravaging the North if the president is a Northerner.

Muslim Northern Army General was kidnapped and killed in the North. Other top Military Muslim Northern officers were killed in the North by NORTHERNERS.

Assistant Commissioner, of police kidnapped, DPO kidnapped, DSS officials kidnapped and killed, Northern Villages heads kidnapped, some killed, Sitting Governor attacked. All the above atrocities were perpetrated by Northerners in the North. Countless innocent poor villages killed and their homes ransacked by killer bandits and Boko Haram.

Yet, we all sleep well and wake up normal as if nothing is wrong in the North, because the president is a Northerner and a Muslim.
The only right you have as a Northerner is to keep quiet, sit down, get killed and blame foreigners and southerners for the odious incidents being perpetrated by our own people upon our own people.

In the North we are not protesting because the President is our own (Northerner, Hausa Fulani and a Muslim) but sincerely and inwardly we all agreed that things are not well in the North, we are being killed on a daily basis by our own people in our own villages and cities within the North.

Religious leaders knows how bad we are hit in the North, but they are quick to give defense to the failed government. Once you protest against the failed government and demand for justice, you will be be wrongly profiled.

The killings in the south is less than 1% of the total sum of 100% of the killings in the North. Objectively the southerners have beautifully organised themselves, orderly conducts themselves and properly demands for Justice for their people against their own people (Mind You, all lives are the same)

This is the story of the North.
The home of cowards and careless educated youths, the home of ignorance and negligence.

My heart is actually bleeding right now.

ProfAmaben:
SARS should not be banned but reformed in my opinion. Bosses in the NPF shouldn't use SARS as a money making machine but as a tool to checkmate criminals.

Why do you think SARS officers have the guts to do what they are doing if they don't have a strong backing from above? Let the entire police be reformed then SARS would follow suit.

A reformed SARS still has a place in the society else these criminal elements would go on a rampage. You mustn't agree with me, to everyone his opinion.

Deployment of riot policemen to attack peaceful protesters is a clear message to Nigerians that the government will not listen to them. Only gullible people will believe the empty promises to reform SARS. If you want to reform, why are you attacking those protesting against SARS?

The difference between Oba of Benin and the Oba of Lagos is simple: while one is Royalty, the other is Loyalty.

You cannot buy the first one, but they hawk the second one near the end of Bourdillon Road, under Falomo bridge (beside the Lagoon).

Coronavirus: Why Buhari Won’t Address Nigerians

In most parts of the world, it feels like the world has come to, or is coming to, an end. Routines have been displaced. Familiar reality has been ruptured. Even habitual perceptions of the world around us are being disrupted. And people are gripped by immobilizing panic and anxiety.

In stressful, uncertain moments like this, people look up to their national leaders for assurance, for psychological comfort, for emotional stability, for guidance, for good cheer. Most leaders have lived up to this expectation. They have addressed their compatriots in national broadcasts and become consolers in chief. Well, except Nigeria’s Muhammadu Buhari.

Amid spiraling apprehension about the new coronavirus and the uptick in the number of infections in the country, there has been unnervingly loud silence from the man who calls himself Nigeria’s “president.”

potentially one of the world’s worst pandemics has been so disturbing that citizens have been literally pleading to hear from the man who claims to be their president.

Even Nigeria’s infamously pliant, “rubber-stamp” Senate, which takes pride in being at the beck and call of the executive, has called on Buhari to address the nation. But one of Buhari’s media aides said such calls from the senate amounted to “populism and cheap politics”!

Why can’t Buhari address the nation? What’s the big deal about a 5-minute (or less) televised address to the nation that someone will write for him? Well, the truth, which I’ve been pointing out since 2018, is that Buhari is too steeped in battles with his own personal demons to care about Nigerians.

Buhari is not well. A televised broadcast, however short, might expose and aggrandize this fact more forcefully than ever before. Notice that in previous broadcasts that his handlers felt compelled to ask him to make, he evinced noticeably low energy and slurred his speech.

On November 23, 2018, I tweeted about my encounter with a doctor who met Buhari in a non-medical context and told me, based on his treatment of and interactions with dementia patients, he was convinced that Buhari has dementia which, as I’ve pointed out before, is often characterized by repetitiveness, unawareness, mental deterioration, impaired memory, diminished quality of thought, slurred speech, and finally complete helplessness.

When I first pointed this out, a few people thought I was being malicious in the service of my opposition to his reelection. Now even close aides of Buhari admit in private that I was right. People who have had a chance to interact with him recently also concede that Buhari appears to be wracked by an irreversible mental decline and loss of control.

He stays no longer than 10 minutes at Federal Executive Council meetings and goes there only for photo ops to deceive Nigerians into thinking that he is in charge when, in fact, he is a sick puppy. It isn’t his fault that he is sick. Anyone, including me, can fall ill. I concede that. But Nigeria is too complex to be governed by a sick, insentient person.

If Buhari had any honor, he would have declined to seek a second term on account of his health and for the love of the people of Nigeria. But his ambition and greed are greater than his patriotism and integrity.

Now, Nigeria is officially “presidentless” not just because Buhari’s current mandate is brazenly rigged and therefore illegitimate but because Buhari has no mental presence to rule. Abba Kyari, his Chief of Staff, no longer conceals the fact that he is the one who calls the shots in the Presidential Villa—and in Nigeria. A March 10, 2020 news report in ThisDay, for instance, said Kyari was in Germany on behalf of Nigeria to hold talks with Siemens “on improved power” in the country.

That’s not the duty of a chief of staff. But anyone who doesn’t know by now that Abba Kyari is Nigeria’s unelected (perhaps unelectable) surrogate president must be living under the rock. But because he isn’t officially the president, not to mention the fact that he has severe speech impediments, he can’t address the nation.

So the first reason Buhari won’t address the nation is that doing so would expose his state of mental and physical health. A sick, ghostly “president” slurring his speech in a televised national broadcast would probably spook the nation more ominously than coronavirus can.

The second reason is that Buhari is in a grievous bind now. He was supposed to go to London for a medical checkup in February, but the leak of this information on social media and on fringe news websites caused his handlers to postpone it by a few weeks— after, as usual, declaring that the leak was “fake news.”

The halt of all air travel to the UK—and, of course, the fear of contracting coronavirus in London—has ensured that Buhari can’t go to London. This must be one moment when he wished he built at least one state-of-the-art hospital in Abuja.

Given the horrible state of healthcare in Nigeria (which was made even worse by Buhari’s serial neglect of the sector in the time he has been “president”) and the inability to go on medical tourism anywhere else in the world, I would be shocked if Buhari is even remotely in a position to address the nation.

So Nigerians eager to hear from the man who says he is their president will have to contend with dishonest presidential press releases that purport to emanate from Buhari’s words, but which are actually ordered by Abba Kyari. Yemi Osinbajo is of no consequence any more.

Of course, even when Buhari was healthy and mentally alert, empathy, compassion, and fellow feeling were not his strong suits. He is a solipsistic narcissist who has no capacity for vicarious identification with the plight of people who are not directly related to him.

So it’s unfair to implicate only his physiological and mental decline in his insensitivity to the anxieties and dread of everyday people. His ill health only brought his cold detachment from people into bolder, more visible relief.

To be fair to him, though, people who are worshipped by as many stupid people as Buhari has been worshipped most of his adult life tend to suffer compassion deficit. A lot of his worshippers are now realizing that they wasted their emotions on a man who doesn’t care a tinker’s damn about them. But the most hopeless of them persist in their folly.

In Nigeria, the new coronavirus isn’t just threatening people and upending their ways of life, it is also exposing the crying leadership deficit in the country and the fraud that is packaged as the country’s “president.” I hope we all come out of this alive.

If anyone really believes that the individual that attempted to plant a bomb in Winners Chapel, Kaduna is a Christian and that his real name is Nathaniel Tanko Samuel they need to have their heads examined.

He is actually a Hausa Fulani Muslim and his real name is Mohammed Nasiru Sani.

Kaduna-based Pastor David Azzaman, wrote:

"The Kaduna bomb planter Mohammed Sani confessed to being forced in detention to bear Nathaniel Tanko Samuel in custody. He confirmed he is a Muslim and Hausa Fulani. He also claims an influential Muslim contracted him to bomb Living Faith Church Kaduna because of Bishop David Oyedepo's constant attacks against his people".
