This sounds attractive but it will just kill the Nigerian economy.

If the 100k is meant for people below the poverty line and we assume 70% of 200
million Nigerians to be living below the poverty line; it means 140 million Nigerians
would be given 100k each.

That means that the Nigerian government would need to fork out 1.4 trillion Naira to 70% of Nigerians to buy groceries and some other consummables for 2 weeks lockdown.

Now compare that to the fact that, the entire budget of Nigeria for Jan - Dec 2020, is 10.59 trillion Naira. And the sums include recurrent and capital expenditure for the whole year (for emphasis) and not for groceries alone.

Again, giving out such amount will wipe out our entire foreign reserves which stood at $37.5 billion at the end of Feb 2020 (according to allafrica.com).

But then it is unfair to advise anyone yo get Chloroquine just because they suspect having the virus. The dosage has never been disclosed and the drug routine remains unknown. It is one thing to confirm that he is indeed positive and it is another to suggest Chloroquine when he hasn't had a test done.

Taking a medication before an actual test to ascertain the causal agent of one's illness is abuse. Trump is not a pharmacist, a microbiologist and a final authority on drug afdairs. And the NCDC already discharged its index case before Trump mentioned Chloroquine.

My name is Dr. Zev Zelenko and I practice medicine in Monroe, NY. For the last 16 years, I have cared for approximately 75% of the adult population of Kiryas Joel, which is a very close knit community of approximately 35,000 people in which the infection spread rapidly and unchecked prior to the imposition of social distancing.

As of today my team has tested approximately 200 people from this community for Covid-19, and 65% of the results have been positive. If extrapolated to the entire community, that means more than 20,000 people are infected at the present time. Of this group, I estimate that there are 1500 patients who are in the high-risk category (i.e. >60, immunocompromised, comorbidities, etc).

Given the urgency of the situation, I developed the following treatment protocol in the pre-hospital setting and have seen only positive results:

1. Any patient with shortness of breath regardless of age is treated.
2. Any patient in the high-risk category even with just mild symptoms is treated.
3. Young, healthy and low risk patients even with symptoms are not treated (unless their circumstances change and they fall into category 1 or 2).

My out-patient treatment regimen is as follows:

1. Hydroxychloroquine 200mg twice a day for 5 days
2. Azithromycin 500mg once a day for 5 days
3. Zinc sulfate 220mg once a day for 5 days

The rationale for my treatment plan is as follows. I combined the data available from China and South Korea with the recent study published from France (sites available on request). We know that hydroxychloroquine helps Zinc enter the cell. We know that Zinc slows viral replication within the cell. Regarding the use of azithromycin, I postulate it prevents secondary bacterial infections. These three drugs are well known and usually well tolerated, hence the risk to the patient is low.

That's the same way my brother got sick with symptoms that mimicked the corona virus. He went to Navy hospital in Port Harcourt and those ones too seemed to confirm his fear even without testing. But since he didn't have contact with anybody who came from abroad, he was treated for common fever and cough and the guy is perfectly okay now.

Members of the public should be wise and take each stories with a pinch of salt, until proven reliable and credible with evidence. Am not saying the OP is a scam, but a few that earlier stated this kind of stories, check and you will see similar stories of how they survived other sickness, with direction on what they did to get treated.
