Exodus 21: 20 “When Jaephoenix strikes his slave Dtruthspeaker, allegedly male, with a rod and the slave dies under his hand, he shall be avenged. 21 But if Dtruthspeaker survives a day or two, he is not to be avenged, for the slave is his money. ZirdoRoray: They say Yahweh is All-knowing and Powerful, yet he cannot figure out a way to save both the Egyptians and the Israelites since they are all his creations. Instead he makes and watches the Israelites suffer under the Egyptians and hardens the heart of Pharaoh so he can satisfy his urge to kill.
It always amazes me how many times this God orders the killing of innocent people even after the Ten Commandments said Thou shall not kill. For example, God kills 70,000 innocent people because David ordered a census of the people (1Chronicles 21).
God also orders the destruction of 60 cities so that the Israelites can live there. He orders the killing of all the men, women, and children of each city, and the looting of all of value (Deuteronomy 3). He orders another attack and the killing of all the living creatures of the city: men and women, young, and old, as well as oxen sheep, and asses (Joshua 6). In Judges 21 He orders the murder of all the people of Jabesh-gilead, except for the virgin girls who were taken to be forcibly raped and married. When they wanted more virgins, God told them to hide alongside the road and when they saw a girl they liked, kidnap her and forcibly rape her and make her your wife! And I'm just getting started.
What a Wicked and Useless God! I second this post 100%! The Hebrew god is probably the most repulsive creature in all of literature. It was obviously created by some greedy and unscrupulous Hebrews and pretending otherwise is ridiculous. I mean, they gave the Canaanites an absurd origin story then next thing you know, they are committing genocide against the Canaanites because their god gave them “the promised land”. You can tell the bastards were probably stealing, maiming, and killing so they created the “curse of Canaan” to justify their madness. The European American slavers borrowed from these worthless thieves when they claimed the “curse of ham” as the reason why their animalistic behavior towards the enslaved Africans was justified. Even now, the migrating European thieves that call themselves Jews are busy stealing land and acting like Nazis towards the Palestinians based on this demented fairy tale of “promised land” with ample support from the most disgusting Christians on the face of the earth; American Christians. Then these animals celebrate “the Passover” as if the whole story isn’t some bloodcurdling horror show based on the god who wanted to show off his powers. What a joke!!! I for one celebrate the holocaust during the week of Passover . I even heard some little Jew cunt on the radio justifying their thievery and claiming “chosen people”. The only time these bastards were chosen was during the Nazi years. *spits in disgust* Regardless, these Hebrews and Jews can claim whatever they want but the rest of you venerating these cunts are nothing but slaves. What do jews call y’all? GOYIM |

A001: A theist says a god (whatever the name) exists and has so-so-and-so attributes, the agnostic asks for a proof, and since such a proof is unavailable, the agnostic takes his position as a skeptic.
The agnostic position is a response to whatever claims about god that the theist makes without a proof. What if the person has never heard the word god? Would you be “agnostic” to a person who doesn’t know of gods? Let’s say a child of 7 years raised without the concept of the supernatural asks you what do you mean that you are agnostic? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Agnosticism by KnownUnknown: 1:23pm On Jan 30, 2023 |
A001: You asking me this silly question shows you don't know what's called agnosticism.
The earth is approximately 4.6 billion years old, and recorded history doesn't account for even 5% of the planet's age.
There are billions of galaxies and hundreds of billions of planets in the Universe, which is unimaginably big, and scientists haven't explored even 1% of the Universe.
There are natural limits of our abilities as a human; for instance, we can only hear within a narrow range of sound frequencies and see only within a narrow range of frequencies.
There's a vast amount of information and data in our immediate surrounding we're not able to detect and know, just like we're starkly ignorant of things happening in the extrasolar or extraterrestrial worlds. Agreed. There are known unknowns, meaning there are things we have no knowledge of in existence or they universe. There are also things we can’t even fathom and we don’t give names or attributes to them. A001: As a result of these, what the average human know pales in comparison with what they don't know; hence, agnosticism. Agreed. agnosticism, (from Greek agnōstos, “unknowable”), strictly speaking, the doctrine that humans cannot know of the existence of anything beyond the phenomena of their experience. There are things beyond the phenomena of our experience and we do not give them names or any attributes simply because they are beyond our physical capabilities and tools of discovery. For example, I can’t logically say that there may be something in the unobervable universe called a BimBim. Mind you, I said a BimBim and not some BimBims. Also, I’m agnostic about the existence of BimBim. You would have to ask me what a BimBim is since the phenomena is beyond my experience. Further more, how do I know the nature of this BimBim or know to call it BimBim? Why is there only one of this BimBim? A001: A god can exist or not exist; we may never really know for sure due to our limited knowledge of our nature, of our planet, and of the Universe. What is god to the agnostic like yourself? Is god beyond the phenomena of our experience? Why one and not a whole race of them like the human race? 8 billion humans and 8 billion gods. Why do you refer to it as one? A001: That's the agnostic position in simple terms, which is more reasonable than saying with certainty that a god exists (yet the claimant can't provide a concrete proof for such a claim) or doesn't exist. Maybe the god of the person making the claim with certainty that god exists is different from the god the agnostic doesn’t know if it exists or not. |

That means you are aware of every thought that ever crossed the minds of people because that’s where gods reside. I doubt you are aware of all gods. What makes the deistic god any different from the theistic gods apart from laziness or disinterest? As you imply, theistic gods purportedly interfere while deistic god does not interfere. onochurch: Homosexuality is not a crime, laws criminalizing the act is "Unjust" — Pope Francis declares.
By Onome Naomi
Pope Francis has said that laws criminalizing homosexual are “unjust,” because being homosexual is not a crime.
Speaking during an interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday, January 25, the Pope said God loves all his children just as they are and called on Catholic bishops who support the laws to welcome LGBTQ people into the church.
“Being homosexual isn't a crime,” Francis said during the interview, adding that, “It's not a crime. Yes, but it's a sin. Fine, but first let's distinguish between a sin and a crime.” “It's also a sin to lack charity with one another,” he added....

Workch: Because many gods can be disproven using a Controlled experiment to test their ttributes or claims in their religious books. Fore example, the genesis creation story has been disproved by science and its a pointer to the fact that those stories were made up. We can test the veracity of miracle claims and we will get 100% statistical level of significance. So, we can conclude that the christian God was made up.
However, a deistic god is hard to disprove, because there is no attribute whatsoever to test. Hence I will conclude that I don't know if a creator exist or not based on that reason This post buttresses the point I made earlier that Agnostics still hold on to the god of whatever tradition they are used to while claiming they don’t know whether god exists. You come from a monotheist tradition therefore you don’t know whether god exists. If you had been reared in India, it’s highly probable you would say you don’t know whether gods exist. Your position is highly influenced by Christianity because that is the god you cited. Other than the deist’s god lack of creation stories and miracles, what makes it hard to disprove more than the christian? Isn’t it up to the deist to prove said god? |

PS: It is well to keep interrogating the views of others on the mystery of existence. May I ask - what is your own view on the matter of our existence? What is infinite space and infinite time?
