Kobojunkiee: When a deity allows its creation to sell the very unique identifier he, the deity, branded each with at creation, doesn’t that amount to the deity in question forfeiting what is his right as a creator to wield sovereignty over his very creation thereby that deity powerless over said creation? According to the Uniform Code of Cosmic Justice, a lack of proprietary identifiers for the creations is a control mechanism to prevent tyranny of the maximally powerful. Any exception to this control results in a revocation of creative powers subject to appeal so all the gods are loathe to violate the law. Kobojunkiee: Also, how does a deity go about managing these rogue elements --- souls that no longer belong under their creator--- within the space the deity claims to have sovereignty over? There are no rogue elements within the spaces because the deities run parallel probability simulations that predict the actions of the souls. Their sovereignty is borne out of this capacity and other soul weaving abilities. In short, beings can sell, borrow, or trade souls as needed. The only prohibition is soul sacrifice but luckily no one can figure that out. |

sonmvayina: The prophet Isaiah described six qualities with which the Messiah will be blessed: "God's spirit will rest upon him, (1) the spirit of wisdom and (2) understanding, (3) the spirit of counsel and (4) might, (5) the spirit of knowledge and (6) fear of God" (Isaiah 11:2). In all these qualities, the Messiah will excel all other human beings. He will reestablish the Sanhedrin, the religious supreme court and legislature of the Jewish people. This is a necessary condition for the rebuilding of the Third Temple, as it is written, "I will restore your judges as at first, and your counselors as in the beginning; afterward, you will be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city. Zion shall be redeemed with justice, and those who return to her, with righteousness" (Isaiah 1:26-27). Such a Sanhedrin would also be able to formally recognize the Messiah as the king of Israel. And the prophet Elijah will verify it I’m sure and than he is also qualified to anoint the future messiah. Can anyone tell me how someone ends up with Jesus? These Jews (like your former landlord) you venerate and are so obsequious towards, are you sure they aren’t just European converts to Judaism claiming descent from people of ancient Israel? Concerning the word “jew” itself, start from here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/IoudaiosGo find a record of the alleged exile the Romans imposed on Judeans in 70 A.D. Matter of fact, I was searching for that when I happened upon this interesting take. https://mondediplo.com/2008/09/07israelNor is there any trace or memory of the magnificent kingdom of David and Solomon. Recent discoveries point to the existence, at the time, of two small kingdoms: Israel, the more powerful, and Judah, the future Judea. The general population of Judah did not go into 6th century BC exile: only its political and intellectual elite were forced to settle in Babylon. This decisive encounter with Persian religion gave birth to Jewish monotheism. Then there is the question of the exile of 70 AD. There has been no real research into this turning point in Jewish history, the cause of the diaspora. And for a simple reason: the Romans never exiled any nation from anywhere on the eastern seaboard of the Mediterranean. Apart from enslaved prisoners, the population of Judea continued to live on their lands, even after the destruction of the second temple. Some converted to Christianity in the 4th century, while the majority embraced Islam during the 7th century Arab conquest. Most Zionist thinkers were aware of this: Yitzhak Ben Zvi, later president of Israel, and David Ben Gurion, its first prime minister, accepted it as late as 1929, the year of the great Palestinian revolt. Both stated on several occasions that the peasants of Palestine were the descendants of the inhabitants of ancient Judea (2). |

A metaphor such as “having cold feet” can be, and is ,used in various situations but I’ve never seen anyone use goat herder outside of slurring the Bible authors. Any astronomical or geographical errors made by the authors are still made by people today and no one calls these people “goat herders”. Endtimer: Wilgrea7, after rereading my last post, I noticed that it is not only too long, but could also be confusing on several points. Consider this a TL;DR version.
My basic argument was that the existence of god is self-evident. Atheism as a philosophy is a truth claim against this properly basic truth and must be supported by positive proofs to be believable. I also explained how your definition of atheism as a lack of belief in god is the same thing as the belief that god does not exist. I continued to use "god" as a term encompassing every possible concept of deity; basically a set with members from different world religions and beyond. As for your contention that religion being ubiquitous does not prove the existence of god, I pointed out that this is a reversal of my view. I believe that the existence of god (being self-evident to humans) is the reason why religion is ubiquitous and not the other way around. I argued that self-evident truths are often paradoxical and difficult to prove, but that we have logical reason to favor them over alternatives. @Wilgrea7 This is what I pointed out to you in a previous post or thread. Any observant theist would use this argument because the atheist is implying that the god exists and he just lacks belief in it and this because the theist’s argument is that the god exists and all that is required is belief. So your unbelief is merely a denial of existence of the god while their belief is an affirmation of existence of the god. But according to both positions, the god exists. |

What is her punishment? Lol, I think she is safe as long as it’s an open marriage like Abraham’s. Abraham was getting cockholded willingly, Sarah was jumping into everyone’s bed, and Lord God was extorting everyone. That’s the arrangement that is required. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Dangers Of Sleeping With A Married Man Or Woman by KnownUnknown: 8:10pm On Dec 16, 2022 |
The story is not about sleeping with another man’s wife. It is a story of attaining wealth by any cost including extortion. Abraham obviously lies about his wife being his sister, or did he? His wife is also his sister after all. Lord God didn’t have any issues with Abraham’s lies but he is quick to threaten Abimelech with all kinds of horrors unless Abraham is paid off, and an earlier episode has Lord God, Abram, and Sarah performing the same scam in Egypt.
Lord God the yahoo yahoo
7 Now return the man’s wife, for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you will live.
12 Besides, she really is my sister, the daughter of my father though not of my mother; and she became my wife. 13 And when God had me wander from my father’s household, I said to her, ‘This is how you can show your love to me: Everywhere we go, say of me, “He is my brother.”’”
14 Then Abimelek brought sheep and cattle and male and female slaves and gave them to Abraham, and he returned Sarah his wife to him. 15 And Abimelek said, “My land is before you; live wherever you like.”
17 Then Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelek, his wife and his female slaves so they could have children again, 18 for the Lord had kept all the women in Abimelek’s household from conceiving because of Abraham’s wife Sarah. |

What the hell is a black? Yea, government is people but how does an incompetent government equate lazy people? The reasons the government is incompetent is myriad and complex, but laziness is not the reason. No matter how hard one works progress is not guaranteed given the environment. True, but you don’t have any support for your assertion about Nigeria. Let’s use your examples: Are buses breaking down because of the laziness of the mechanics or the failure of the incompetent government to provide a thriving economy where parts and repair facilities are available. Did the fireman forget to refill the extinguishers or are extinguishers unavailable? Were electricity and other utilities available at this hospital to prevent silly mistakes? Did the government create an environment that would motivate competent and “not lazy” doctors to stay in the country and prevent silly mistakes? |

What is a black man because I know the color black and I’m yet to see a “black man” nor a “white man” for that matter. Are Caucasians from the Caucasus mountains? BigBashiru: The black man is very intelligent and has achieved more than the white man in science and technology historically speaking. Still don’t know who this black man and this white man are? BigBashiru: But this intelligence is hidden and overshadow by an an entrenched culture of laziness... If you say so. BigBashiru: . just observe around you from cutting corners to making mistakes to unseriousness....all the signs and evidence are around you. From intestate busses breaking down cos folks are too lazy to service it, to buildings burning down cos fore service man was sleeping on duty or "forgot" to refill extinguisher, to silly mistakes in hospitals that cost lives....the evidence is there. So, you’re talking about Nigeria and Nigerians. I doubt that you can justifiably paint with such a broad brush. The pentateuch wasn’t written by Moses. It’s nothing but the wealth driven agenda of some greedy and violent ancient people claiming “the lord” gave them the properties they were stealing.
You guys ever asked yourself if this lord character told the inhabitants of the “promised” land that he was giving their homes, property, and livelihood to his favorite people?
Did the “lord” tell them he was about to permit genocide, infanticide, raping, and rapine in order for the “chosen people” to possess the “promised land”?
The “first book of Moses” exposes their agenda from the ”lord” promising Abram things that didn’t belong to him to the constant cheating and lying of the protagonists all in the name of acquiring wealth. |
