Even if it is normal in Lagos Schools, you should let the school know your children should be off-limits to them. Threaten to use the Law if necessary. Equally, take some time to get other parents to see why they too should do the same.

The criminal code in Nigeria criminalizes physical assault and your children are citizens covered under that very same Law. So, there ought to be no reason why they should be subjected to an assault of the physical kind by their school or even the government. Also, consider the following section of the criminal code.

I am not sure but I doubt they would have continued if one of their kids had up and died only to learn a genetic sickness was responsible. That is a devasting experience for both parents and children alike abeg!

However, growing up, I witnessed many families continuing to have more kids as though to replace the ones that were lost. Worse, many of them were aware the dead kid died of sickle cell sickness.

I watched a story posted by the Nigerian Police Force in Delta or some other state of a man who had 33 kids in total with only 13 of them surviving. Yes, He did. His pronouncements regarding the people of Bethesda and Corazon speak to this. He went to them but they did not come to Him to be healed by Him. Even His own people in His hometown refused to come out to Him to be healed when He went to their town to make Himself available to them.

There does not need to be a law specifically on marital rape since the rape law is all that is necessary. For instance, if a woman in a non-marital relationship is enabled by law to accuse even her boyfriend of rape, then a woman in marriage— equally a relationship— is equipped by the same law to do the same— again, these are individuals. A separate marital rape Law becomes necessary if and only if the law specifically states that married individuals lose their right to bodily autonomy. In the Nigerian case, this is not the case.

As for abortion laws in Nigeria, I am not too certain where it is given Nigerians have yet to make a clear decision on such things as far as I know it.
