Your postulation does none of what you claim. For one, out there in the very same Nigeria you live in today, many boys/kids have turned armed robbers and have as their backers the very same so-called disciplined Pastors, traders, or Imams their parents abandoned them in the hands of. Up North, many of the same Imams' Muslim parents abandon their children to use them as political touts for politicians and their cause. So, how can continuing the same tradition be construed as a solution for Pete's sake?

The OP would have been a lot clearer if it had given specifics on exactly what it is that made him write this comment of his. Why lift a comment from someone without including a detailed background to explain the reason behind the comment? Simply claiming he was a former transgender does not help. For one, I have seen a lot of men with Gynecomastia( a hormonal imbalance condition where a man develops breast tissues similar to that of a woman) who didn't think to become transgenders nor even let it border them. (I have never seen a transgender man with that particular condition by the way.) And I have seen women with literally flat chests — no breasts— and some live that way with no fuzz(check runways and catwalks for many of such women). So, hormonal imbalance as the reason... too general a claim.

That's changing fast! I have met quite a couple of them who are doing good for themselves and their kids. I mean they literally chose to become single mothers after first establishing themselves careerwise and it's going well.

If what you are against is the general scourge of single mothers and fathers ravaging a nation in poverty like Nigeria where most can't even fend for themselves let alone the kids they continue to have, then yes, I will see it is not advisable.

One of the major reasons why things work in other climes but not in places like Nigeria has to do with the fact that people tend to take legal actions when resolving disputes that are meant to be handled in that manner when in Nigeria many would rather just suffer and smile through it all.

This neighbor of yours does not represent the poor so your assessment of poor people is very wrong and uncalled for in this case.

2. If the neighbor did in fact assault you as you claim then you have the right to file charges against him. You don't get to decide the sentence or penalty, rather the law does. And being that you are both neighbors, you may want to opt for settlement path if presented to keep the peace.

I am not interested in church business. As for whether it is easy or not, well, the fact that there are churches or mosques every stone throw in Nigeria means it is huge and easy business, easier than say building factories or heading into the production and manufacturing industries for instance.

1. Even in Nigeria, every child is considered a citizen of the country and it is a criminal offense to physically abuse another citizen.

Last I checked, most of the traditional priests are in the same line of business that your pastors and imams are in. So, the business standards and practices are pretty much the same across the board out there.
