A doctrine should not be based by a verse in a particular chapter of the Bible. Before a doctrine should be formed it must be based on at least 2, 3,5 verses In different chapters in the bible. The more the verses the stronger you can build your case.
This is the only one verse in a chapter in the new testament that talks about covering of head. This alone should be a pointer that it's not a doctrine for our time but for the people of corinthians. There's a lot of story behind it.
