🥲 If you checked my initial post. You'll see I pointed "some", not "all" started as scavengers. You can decide to start the business today even with your capital and still be unsuccessful. In the same vain, you can decide to start with almost nothing and you'll grow gradually. It's just life. We are not all going to succeed. There's always going to be a balance.

Not with scavenging, particularly in a place like Nigeria where the greatest bulk of trash remains unrecyclable given that the recycling industry is largely underdeveloped. The balance you speak of has to be an intentionally created one otherwise the chances will remain high that those who engage will remain largely unsuccessful.

I watched a video on YouTube not too long ago highlighting this very problem. Scavenging works as a source of income for some when industries are available to provide opportunities for scavengers to make a living from what they can obtain. Without that, it is only people moving the trash from one location to another in hopes that someday or somehow that trash turns to gold.

They gather them until it weighs a couple of tons and take them to buyers who in pay millions of nairas for it. For example, a kg of copper costs about ₦13,000 or so. These scavengers would buy it off of you for half the price while you struggle with your meagre monthly salary. Normally, I don't even expect you to think of it like this because you are incapacitated. You are too broke to be able to afford to go into the business so I I'll excuse your ignorance.

Let's stop reading between the lines and start telling ourselves the truth. The vast majority of those who started as scavengers remain scavengers. Only a handful of them rise beyond that for all of their lives. Many more of them end up sick from the toxins they are exposed to and may even die as a result. So, please don't put down people who go into 9-5s for these half-truths here.

Yes, scavenging can be a good business for the person with the right know-how and attitude but like many other works of its kind there are many many risks to it and it is worth considering those risks before venturing into it as a way of living. Children, for one, should not be allowed to work these jobs. Matter of fact, anyone who does not have the right gear for the work should not embark on it at all.

Jesus Christ of Israel was anti-religion. He was against the religion of Judaism which was practiced by His very own people, a religion upon which the Roman Catholic and eventually the Christian movement of today are famously modeled. So, it is false to link Jesus Christ of Israel to any religious movement that existed during his time or even today.

What Jesus Christ of Israel instead established was a nation to which He then set Himself — God's Law and Truth — as the Law of that Nation which He referred to as the Kingdom of God. His Church— assembly of those connected to Him— consists of all those, born from their mother's womb of the blood of Jacob, who would then become citizens of His Kingdom by becoming born-again. He, as ruler over all the citizens described Himself as the Vine upon which all branches(citizens) are to be carved from.

The fact is, none of your religious movements have their foundations in the person of Jesus Christ of Israel, and all attempts to link themselves are born of claims that have no bearing in Scripture or His Truth.

I am the last born in my family. My Mom died few years ago. While she was alive, we were very close & loved each other. We would call each other, talk about family & life generally. I had given money to her only once and she was so happy. Since I finished from the university, I wasn't able to get a job that pay well so I didn't have enough to cope not to talk of sending money to her. She understand and didn't complain & was willing to send me if I was badly in need. Already all other of my sibling were sending money to her once in a while.
One day she had an accident and was taken to the hospital. My elder brother took her to a hospital close to him so he can be able to see her everyday after work or in between. One day I was with her on the phone and she made a DEMAND from me. She told me to send small money to my elder brother to but her something while she was in the hospital. She told me no matter how small even 5k or any amount that can buy fruits for her. She told me I shouldn't let my elder brother know that the demand is from her. She said my brother has tried a lot that I should send it so it will be like my little contribution to her stay in the hospital. Unfortunately I was waiting for salary the coming week, I was already owing and waiting for salary to come. My salary was pea nut, was Just doing the job to avoid staying at hime. I didn't know where else to borrow money from. I DIDN'T DO WHAT SHE SAID AND SHE DIED THE FOLLOWING WEEK IN THE HOSPITAL.
Few years have passed, I see her once in a while in my dream. Two days ago I saw her in my dream after a long time. We held each other and were discussing with other family members. Later she called me by the side and told me to give her some money that she wants to go to market and buy what she will cook for the family, that my siblings have given her already. I didn't have any cash with me there and I knew I had nothing in my account. I told her to go to the market that I will send something to her account before she will finish buying things. She said ok and I wake up.
I wanted to ask about this traditionally if it means anything and what am expected to do if it really means something. Then I am afraid of my siblings because in my family we don't believe in anything traditional, we don't even believe is seeking for vision or stuff like that. We are Christians and believe in God & Christ. But this particular thing has given me sleepless night for two days now & I feel I should do something about it.

That was not your dead mother in your dreams but rather your regret— still lurking in your subconscious after so many years— that you were not able to fulfill her desire while she was alive. All you need do is forgive yourself for not being able to carry out your mother's request while she was alive. Make the decision to stop using her as an excuse to beat yourself up in your own life. She is dead and gone and nothing you do to yourself can bring her back or change that fact. If your relationship with your elder brother is not great at the moment or you would like to help him out, go ahead and do so without needing to drag your mother's memory into it all against your own mental health. 😟

It's very real. I've learnt a lot in this life, this life is way more than what we see. Spirituality is very much realistic, it's very far from being ideal.
I've had first hand encounters. A friend had been besieged by ill lucks that he struggled at whatever he did. He was advised to seek spiritual help and he did.
The priest told him that he needed to feed the spirit of his late mum, the priest told him that his late mum had been hungry and wanted to eat unripe plantain The man told my friend that his mum was standing right beside him E funny, right? The priest told him that the woman was going to bring him luck and that things would be right. Guy man quickly did as he was told. To my amazement, it's not even up to 3 months and guy man's life was up and running. Since then, he visits the priest from time to time to make enquiries.

So, your friend's dead mother without a body or stomach for processing physical food needed to be fed physical unrip plantains for 3 whole human months before she, supposedly dead, had been standing right next to him according to your priest, could then turn around to help her son succeed in many of the same areas that other people so effortlessly succeed in without ever considering the dead or feeding unripe plantains to spirits for?

For example, when they quote a verse....I read verses before and after their references for better understanding.
Each and everyone of us can speak directly to God and He will listen to and answer us if we BELIEVE. You do not need a middleman to get across to our Father who hath in heaven. 🙏
