You don't know Tinubu, he is a man you either don't fight but if you decide to fight him, make sure you take him out, because if you don't.... That is usually the problem with people who start a fight with him, they usually underestimate how far he can go just to win... You don't know Tinubu....
That statement in bold alone tells me all I need to know of you. Typical Nigerian you are. undecided

■ No, we are not reasoning things upside down, it is just that fighting a case in court against Tinubu and his cronies in present day Nigeria is dead on arrival except you have divine backing or a more superior support to what he has....
And I don't think the governor has that now...I think you really need to know the system before you make comments or attacks...
Come on naw! So because we perceive it may be a difficult fight, we should simply throw our hands up and not attempt to even file a suit in court to at least start the process as is required by the Constitution? 🤔

Contrary to your conclusion above, most cases aren't actually dead on arrival but kicked along for years instead. And in a case where a corrupt judge is in place, should that judge be proven corrupt at a later date, the cases he/she presided over can be revisited so let's stop creating these disgusting reasons for why Nigerians should continue to fold their hands and do absolutely nothing while their inheritance is plundered and their futures rendered of no real value. 🙄

■ Get things right for Pete's sake....I am totally in agreement that Ijele's human rights are being violated as a human being.
However what I am against is the people whose petitions and complaints put him in the situation for his human rights to be violated are the ones LYING and spreading PROPAGANDA that he was working for the Nigeria government. Does it make a modicum of sense for the Nigeria government to continually violate the human rights of a person said to be working for it?
If Ijele was putting up write ups against Biafra/IPOB on behalf of Tinubu, APC and Nigeria government, does it make any sense for the same Tinubu, APC and Nigeria government to continue to violate his human rights?
If Ijele was working for Tinubu, APC and Nigeria government would it not be more sensible to release and free him to go and write more missives against Biafra/IPOB?
I already responded to this abeg! undecided

His being an Ibo supremacist — a lunatic or sociopath for that matter — means absolutely nothing to do this though. I don't understand why you don't see this yourself. undecided

You claim that the reason why Ijele is behind bars has to do with the petitions written by a bunch of people. Nigerian citizens aren't meant to be arrested or treated illegally based on the content of any report or petition, written by whomever. So, the problem here isn't the supposed petition that was written by the fact that the Nigeria Police Force blatantly violates the Law in the handling of this case. The Ijele who is a citizen of the country is being illegally detained, not by the supremacists, but by the government. The report has it that he met his bail requirements and Section 35 of the Nigerian Constitution requires he be released on bail. So, why is the government refusing to abide by the Law? That should be what every Nigerian citizen, regardless of his leaning or mental aptitude, should be focused on. undecided

If I am killed would that even change a thing as most of us in this country are adjusted to seeing a new government bad policy and adjusting to it? When they are still a lot of people defending this government despite the evil they've done,
■ ma I can only do my best and leave the rest for God because come 2027 no matter how we talk there are still those who will still vote those guys just to score some cheap points.
I only asked him to choose me for a gift he was nominated for but didn't want that's why I tagged him here ma

1. In my previous post, I included details on what a layman can do according to your Nigerian Constitution. In a democracy, verbal complaints don't really accomplish much. It is only when petitions or lawsuits are filed, votes are cast to retract a mandate or to select a new official or policy that anything is accomplished. undecided

2. So, your life is too precious to be lost to fixing the problem, is what you are saying? Living in suffrage is better than dying for a purpose known to you. Well, continue begging then. When people who keep sending money to Nigerians begging online get tired of it all, maybe then you will realize how life is not worth living in suffering. undecided

3. Leave the rest to the same god of Nigeria that will ensure that come 2027, the suffering of Nigerians will be raised so many degrees higher by crook or by hook. Continue manufacturing excuses for why you shouldn't be expected to do something drastic now to change things. Keep playing into the hands of the very same people making your lives miserable by the moment. grin

The person I quoted is a known arch tribalist and a promoter of Ibo supremacist agenda on this forum through lies and sophistry. Everyone knows that Ijele landed in the spot he Is in because of relentless petitions by Ibos against his threads and write ups.
The person I quoted tried as usual to spread his lies by claiming Ijele was used and dumped by the Federal government. This is a lie being passed off as the truth by Ibos. So if Ijele was working for Tinubu, APC and the Nigeria government, why is he still in detention? It is not rocket science.

You went to protest 2 times and so because the government does not care means you should not protest again or look for other means to get rid of the government. These people deprive you, your family, friends, and communities, and your birthright as Nigerians, yet all you can do is say you stopped protesting after realizing the government does not care. Sigh! undecided

Since you have confirmed that they do not care for you, the next best thing to do is to begin to call for their impeachment, and to do that you need to rally others around you to begin voting and protesting for that to take place now. Begging others who may also be in dire straits is not a solution. undecided

The treatment this man is receiving today has nothing to do with a petition. Let's at least be honest with that. PoliticsRe: Tinubu’s Govt Inherited Hardship From Buhari’s Administration – Emir Of Minna by Kobojunkie: 3:57pm On Sep 19, 2024
Omooba77:
■ The Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umar Farouk Bahago, has stated that the current economic challenges faced by Nigerians were inherited from the Buhari administration. He made this assertion during a sensitisation event on federal government intervention programmes organised by the Office of the Minister of Information and National Orientation, held in Minna, Niger State.
Represented by the Hadinin Minna, Alhaji Maikudi Achaza, the emir commended President Bola Tinubu for his efforts to address the issues stemming from past corruption. He emphasised that many citizens remain unaware of the Tinubu administration’s initiatives due to insufficient communication from government spokespersons, particularly in local languages.
On the other hand, former Head of State General Abdulsalami Abubakar has expressed concern over the escalating hardships faced by Nigerians, urging the President Bola Tinubu-led federal government to take immediate action to alleviate the suffering of citizens.
The emir said, “A significant amount of funds was misappropriated by previous administrations, and the current government is working to recover them.
“Since the removal of fuel subsidies, various measures have been implemented to alleviate the impact on citizens. It is crucial for the government to communicate its policies and programmes effectively, using local languages.”

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, represented by Asabe Sule Garba, Zonal Coordinator of the Federal Information Resource Centre in Minna, stated that the event is aimed to raise awareness about the federal government’s efforts to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people. He highlighted President Tinubu’s commitment to accountability and transparency and called for citizens’ support.
Yet the Tinubu government has made near no effort to prosecute those who, according to you, misappropriated funds. His administration has instead chosen to continue the tradition with politicians — Tinubu himself—embracing waste on a scale much worse than the previous administration. undecided

PoliticsRe: My Predecessor Involved In Banditry Crisis, Zamfara Gov Alleges by Kobojunkie: 3:30pm On Sep 19, 2024
dododawa1:
The Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has alleged that his predecessor, Bello Matawalle, was fully involved in some banditry issues bedevelling the state.
Speaking on a TVC politics programme on Wednesday night, the governor alleged that with information at his disposal, his predecessor headed a government that was in bed with bandits.
Lawal also accused the last administration led by Bello, who is now the Minister of State for Defence, of siphoning the state funds and handling insecurity with kid’s gloves.
“Yes, there were a lot of issues in the past, with my predecessor. In fact, let me state this very categorically, if I were him (Matawalle), I would resign and face all the allegations against me and that would have been more honourable. Because from all the information we are getting, my predecessor (Matawalle) was fully involved in some of these banditry issues,” Lawal said.
Justifying his claim that his predecessor was involved in the banditry issues, he recounted how a permanent secretary during Matawalle’s administration paid ransom through the government house to free his children abducted by bandits.
The governor said, “Typical is the fact that there was a permanent secretary whose children were abducted and it was unfortunate he had to pay ransom through the Government House. It was also very clear based on all the allegations that bandits were being kept at the Government House. And there were so many other issues.”
Bello Turji has more than confirmed many of what this Governor claims at this point. The problem is what are the people of Zamfara doing about these allegations? undecided

Matawalle is just a minister and there is no immunity around his office. So how many suits have been filed against him in the courts abeg? If the Governor has all of this information at his disposal, why has he not called for the immediate arrest, investigation, and possible prosecution of the Matawalle? undecided

Now that we are all happy that Abia have gotten it right after so many years is when you choose to rear your ugly head. It will not work for you. God bless Alex Otti and God bless Abia state
That is not a good enough reason for why he should waste government funds though. Your being from Abia does not mean anything when it comes to differentiating between good and bad though. So, I suggest you folks try to learn to pocket these meaningless declarations you go about making. undecided

OP spotted an issue of concern. An issue that every resident should be concerned with since much of that wasted money is tax-payer money — yes, you now pay taxes and so should begin to think of how every kobo of the money in the hands of your politicians is being spent. Rather than attack Op, a more reasonable response would be to call for an investigation into the missing funds and why the governor is making such trips when he is instead hired to fulfill the responsibilities he has to the people in his state. undecided

■ WILL ABIA SURVIVE THIS MAN? Out of the over N30bn he spent last year on running his office, he claimed N574.64m for international travels that returned ZERO VALUE to Abians.
Recall that he spent N26bn last year on the entire Abia workforce while he spent over N30bn in running his office.
He went to Hungary and Rwanda last year, and claimed N575m.... what a great saviour! This was more than the N300m he paid Abia Poly workers which was highly publicised. He has already embarked on a few of these futile visits in 2024, and is about to do more now.

► or a criminal that is less of a criminal than the other thief,
► or the thief that everyone around them has declared is now suddenly a better man,
►or, my favorite, the criminal that is from their ethnic group because, in their minds, the criminal from the other ethnic group is somehow worse. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

To top that all up, we have the Nigerians who believe elections are fraudulent and so a reason why they ought not to vote at all. EducationRe: No Reversal On Model Colleges, Boarding Fee In Model Colleges by Kobojunkie: 2:15pm On Sep 19, 2024
mycaremimi:
■ According to the statement, the Ministry is aware of dissenting views by some parents to the inevitable increase in boarding fees in our model colleges.
“This is not an easy decision but the welfare of the children is a priority for the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education and Lagos State Government.
“Lagos State Government provides free education in 1,021 Primary schools, 369 Junior Secondary and 329 Senior Secondary schools which include 32 model colleges across the State. Except for Vetland Junior and Senior Secondary Schools, all the model colleges are boarding schools.
“Since enrolment of a child into a boarding school is an individual choice of every parent, they are expected to pay boarding fees.
“The boarding fee is paid every term and it is used basically for feeding, janitorial and other miscellaneous cost related to keeping them in the hostels per term. The schools also take care of energy cost on fuel and cooking gas, which are essential for preparing their meals.
“The concern of ensuring a better welfare for our model college students, who are over one percent of the entire basic and secondary school student population in public schools in the state, necessitated the increase in boarding fees.
“The model college students enjoy all other privileges of free education vis- a- vis provision of education infrastructure, free tuition, technology support (free devices) provision of adequate security in schools and payment of terminal examination fees (LASG pays WAEC fees for all public school students).

“So, the N35,000 boarding fees being paid since 2021 is not realistic in 2024
