∆ “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You
give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the
law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.
Jesus Christ pronounced curses on the religious elements who would come using His name; they focus on those aspects of His teachings and commandments they find easy to comply with while ignoring all others, particularly those that have to do with justice, mercy , and faithfulness to Him, Jesus Christ in all things. undecided
Christianity EtcRe: When Is The Sabbath Day? by Kobojunkie: 4:11am On Mar 21, 2024

∆ i asked this question is dat the bible says 'keep the sabbath day holy' & when i look around me i see pple going to church on saturdays like 7th day Adventist church while i go 2 church on sundays.i do'nt want to be dissapointed @ the end of the world.
The Bible never said you should keep the Sabbath. Rather, what Scripture reveals is that the God of Israel commanded the people of Israel whom He gave the Nation of Israel to in the land of Canaan commandment to keep the Sabbath. The people failed to keep His Law and commandments and were eventually cursed and scattered by the God of Israel beginning in 720BC when the country of Israel which belonged to God wss destroyed. God later destroyed, cursed and scattered the sister nation of Judah around 1900 years ago, placing a seal on Prophets and visions at that time as well. undecided

Any people of group pretending today to abide by that Law heaps curses on themselves by their many dubious doctrines and rituals do so in vain. undecided

Christianity EtcRe: Historical Jesus Vs Biblical Jesus by Kobojunkie: 5:24pm On Mar 20, 2024
Ahmadusmanu:
∆ Firstly, you can trace the history of holy state of Israel back to the days of king Solomon who was a powerful king. But suddenly the state collapsed after his death. They yearned God to restore their former glory so that's why God promised them a Messiah.
Secondly u can go and do your research about the attribute of messiah according to the scriptures.
Thirdly u still didn't quote a single verse from your Bible where Jesus ask u Christians to worship him.
1. If by "collapse" you mean division of the state into two, well, that happened because of Solomon. So, again when was this golden age?! undecided

2. It seems to me you have never in fact read the history for yourself as the clams you make aren't contained anywhere in the history of the people of Israel. Since the time of Adam, everyone born into this one is born via God's curse on mankind - Genesis 3 vs 16 - 24 - and into a cursed existence. Jesus Christ, from the moment He was conceived became a part of that curse. For Him to the be burdened with yet another of God's curse was big deal. undecided

Your idea of the Messiah seems to come from a warped narrative fed you by people equally ignorant of the information contained in Scripture. undecided

3. Again, I am not a Christian. And I already explained to you how and why I worship In Jesus Christ. If you look in the Gospels you will find that Jesus Christ explained that those who love Him are those who trust and obey Him. So read the book and find wisdom for yourself. undecided

Regarding your first question God promised the Jews a Messiah who will come and restore them back to their golden age.
■ and God also told them the qualities and attributes of the Messiah to come.so your argument that a Messiah been be born by way of a curse or die bearing a curse is nonsensical .
■ Secondly u said you worship Jesus, can you show me in your Bible where Jesus ask you Christians to worship him or you in particular?
1. The israelites never really did achieve the golden age before they were eventually destroyed by God of Israel so why the interesting choice of word — Restore? undecided

2. You didn't answer the question. Where are these qualities and attributes of the Messiah that mandate that He could not be born of God's curse or die carrying God's curse stipulated? WHERE? undecided

3. Well, in Scripture, as opposed to your other religions, to Worship God means to Trust and Obey God's Law — His teachings and commandments. Of course, In Scripture, cursed are those who put their trust in men so it makes no sense to come back at me with statements like "Well, you obey your mother so that means you worship her." That won't work in this case at all. Anyways, I worship Jesus Christ means I live my life in continuous submission and obedience to His teachings and commandments which constitute God's Law. Jesus Christ is God's Law and Truth in the Kingdom of God, and God's Law is God. Pretty much the same way YHWH is God's Law in the Nation of Israel in the Land of Canaan undecided

∆ Regarding your first question. God promised the Jews a Messiah who will come and restore them back to their golden age.
∆ Interesting word choice there -- restore -- which supposes the Israelites at one point in time actually enjoyed this golden age you speak of. Christianity EtcRe: Historical Jesus Vs Biblical Jesus by Kobojunkie:
Ahmadusmanu:
Have u ever asked yourselves why the historical death of Jesus and the Biblical death of Jesus different?.the Jews rejected Jesus as the Messiah and call him a bastard.they could have killed Jesus anywhere like they did to some of their PROPHETs. but insisted they insisted that the emperor should crusify Jesus so as to prove that he is not the Messiah because according to the Jewish law in the Bible, those who are hang on the tree are cursed by God. so hanging Jesus is the only way to disprove him as the Messiah which they think they did.but according to the Bible, Jesus was depicted as saviour who came to die for our sins, the Bible over the centuries developed and depicted Jesus as a son of God and later on was transformed into a God and worshipped,by modern Christians.
∆ but the thing is, even during the life time of Jesus, those who believe in him never worshipped him or call him God, the earliest Christians like the Ibianites never worshipped Jesus as God, so how comes modern Christians are now worshipping Jesus and his MOTHER?. or do the modern Christians know Jesus more than his diciples knew him?. this is a Very big deception in Christianity which only people with reasoning can see through it.
1. What aspect of the Law and the Prophets led you to believing the Messiah could not be born by way of a curse or die bearing a curse though? Does this "historical" narrative you claim access to include information on this as it is vital to making your case. Source please! undecided

2. Not here to hold brief for the Christians seeing as I am not one of them, but I happen to be a follower of Jesus Christ and I don't worship his mother since she was just a human as I am..I worship Jesus Christ because He is King and judge(Judy and executioner too) over my soul in the Kingdom of God -- basically, He is God over my life which is eternal in the Kingdom of God. He decides whether I will be damned for eternity at the end based on choices I make here on earth or whether I spend eternity in reward. So? lipsrsealed

■ What is blemish? What is blemish free? I no de hear to argue. Make you de understand wetin you wan understand. Me i dom share my thought. Mr Religious guru.
1. So, am I to take it that when God of Israel — YHWH— declared in Deuteronomy 30 vs 15 - 20 that the Law(which includes the 10 commandments)through Moses to the children of Israel benefited only those of them in the Land of Canaan, He was mistaken? undecided
11 The command that I am giving you today is not too difficult for you. It is not too far away from you.
12 God does not keep it in heaven. So you do not have to ask, ‘Who will go up to heaven to find it and bring it down to us? Who will explain it to us so that we can obey it?’
13 It is not far away across the sea. So you do not have to ask, ‘Who will go across the sea to fetch it for us? Who will explain it to us so that we can obey it?’
14 No! God's message is very near to you. It is in your mouth and in your mind. So you must do what it teaches you to do.
15 Look! You must choose between the things that I am offering you today. You may choose to have life and many good things. Or you may choose to have death and many troubles.
16 I am commanding you today to love the Lord your God. Live in a way that pleases him. Obey his commands, his rules and his laws. If you do that, you will live. You will become a nation of many people. The Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are going into as your new home.
17 But you will have trouble if you turn away from God and you do not obey him. If you decide to serve other gods and to worship them, 18 you will certainly come to an end. After you go across the Jordan River, you will not live very long in that land. That is what I am telling you today.
19 Today, I want the sky and the earth to hear what I have said to you. I have told you what you may choose. You may choose life or death. You may choose the Lord to bless you or to curse you. Choose life today, so that you and your descendants will live!
20 Yes, love the Lord your God. Obey him and serve him faithfully. He is the one who gives you life. He will let you live for a long time in the land that he is giving to you. That is the land that he promised to your ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. - Deuteronomy 30 vs 15 - 20
YHWH had no notion that His Law had to equally apply to Nigerians living in Nigeria. YHWH chose to wrong words when sealing His agreement with the descendants of Israel in the Land of Canaan. Is that it? undecided

2. You didn't come to argue but rather to assert an idea that makes no sense. I am not a religious guru... religion repulses me given it thrives on ambiguity and I loathe that the most. undecided

Lol Enjoy  First of all know this, that in the last days ridiculers will come with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires 4 and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep in death, all things are continuing exactly as they were from creation’s beginning.” 5 For they deliberately ignore this fact, that long ago there were heavens and an earth standing firmly out of water and in the midst of water by the word of God; 6 and that by those means the world of that time suffered destruction when it was flooded with water. 7 But by the same word the heavens and the earth that now exist are reserved for fire and are being kept until the day of judgment and of destruction of the ungodly people. 8 However, do not let this escape your notice, beloved ones, that one day is with Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. 9 Jehovah is not slow concerning his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with you because he does not desire anyone to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance. 10 But Jehovah’s day will come as a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar, but the elements being intensely hot will be dissolved, and earth and the works in it will be exposed.
Stop with the incessant rambling and deviations! undecided
