Yet the current Supreme Court (with Kekere-Ekun as one of its members) was exactly what you described. The Akpabio and Lawan decision made by the same Supreme Court not long ago is another example. Of course, there are several other examples of the Supreme Court sidestepping the Constitution to mention as well.

It is the same in almost all 36 states of Nigeria by the way. People don't demand the impeachment of their bad leaders even when the Constitution hands them the right to do so as many times as they need to succeed(if you fail try again and again until you succeed).

To this day we have had no explanation as to why the so-called traditional rulers have instead taken to negotiating with these herders instead of completely having them evicted from the local lands. This is a possible reason and should be investigated rather than being tossed out as you would prefer for reasons best known to you.

We are talking here of the same traditional leaders who on numerous occasions have been noted to have taken bribes from politicians so what makes you believe that the deal they had with those politicians did not include accepting herders in their communities?

That makes no sense! Does the land not have an owner? Is the owner of the land made aware beforehand of the fact that his land would be used for such a purpose by the traditional ruler? Why should a traditional leader collect any amount from them without first designating a fenced off area in his community where this rent collected is to apply?
