gordonchuks: No I didn't. The required coures listed are those I took as required and elective courses while in school. However, English is not only restricted to grammar and literature, but also media communication studies. I can't speak for other schools, but for mine which is the University of Ibadan. Even the compulsory internship we are to attend was strictly restricted to only media organisations. The people i met at my place of internship were mainly B.A English graduates. Anyway, i applied for P.R due to my experience at UI and because were i did my internship. it is well. For the bolded......so because I offered computer science and English course during my 100level days now means that am a computer scientist and a grammarian?......... jameh48: God bless you...Tell them. The vision of the Chief of Army staff in nurturing professionalism, and excellence is not a joke even with your long leg this time if the Army in the selection process discover you are not an asset or bringing quality to the table this time, it is even your godfather who will connive to excuse you out indirectly with one lie. Whether SSC or DSSC.There are measures already in place to sieve out the chaff from the wheat, and remedy the mistakes from last selection, and enlisting. There are lot of check for loopholes this time, I tell you.Ugo4u, and other senior men here who knows can tell you. Your godfather, your passion plus your common sense to do the right thing and God with you, all inclusive or distinctive you will scale through. Don't just rely on godfather alone, put all that needs to be put in place. The game has changed. Which mistakes happened last year?? |

Dammysmart: thanks for this brother, I'd always have interest in joining the Army Signals by virtue of my experience and exposure to signal knowledge and code writing (Morse code and Flag signals) "not computer coding" altho I'm sharpening my computer coding skills too now. what opportunity can I have to get myself into the signals?? I equally have exposure to constructing gadgets for training and obstacle purposes e.g (Monkey&commando bridges, signal towers to mention a few) through knotting and lashing as well which might help me to get into Army Training Dept. all of these courtesy of my "Scouting Experience". How can I get into these corps where I can fully contribute to the army other than infantry??
ps: I love being on the active field too but yet I want to give in to the Army as well. I don't understand your "ps" .... Kindly explain. And with all your expertise and experience you wan still join Army........ Bros, IPOB dey find your type to help train their squad .....to join na free, plenty money go join ....but you must dey wear red cap throughout. Well I like your morale......cheers mate |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Total E&P Limited - 2019 Recruitment (many Positions) by KODACK: 7:48am On Sep 08, 2019 |
OwlaRowl: Lol, i have dragged many nets administered by dragnet (Sarcastically speaking), literally i have written tons of dragnet tests, right from my undergraduate scholarship days down to recently. Trust me it never gets easier.
Dragnet questions aren't that tough per se, their testing method just has many factors that question their willingness to even give candidates a fair attempt at the chosen form of assessment. Yes people still scale through, but then, everyone ain't super-fast or brainy. A lot of folks have potential and are employable, they can do much better than these tests. Dragnet making these tests super tough to meet client specifications (The recruiting companies) is killing whatever little hope these folks have. At the sight of dragnet in an assessment mail invite, some people now just lose hope even before the assessment itself.
1-The timing for these tests are crazy, before you even read some voluminous verbal questions, or use the uncommon shortcuts, your time is speed-breathing its last.
2-The calculation given to you needs more time than you're availed, sometimes a lot of candidates know how to attempt these questions, but for the speed and volume of calculation involved, you'd rather zap through and answer all questions than commit the little time to answering just a few you conveniently can solve under considerable timing. In some cases you end up solving the question, getting an answer, only to hold onto your mouse for that one click, the system takes you to the next section #painful. (This usually happens towards the end of a particular section).
3- The Abstract reasoning is the most annoying part, the patterns are not easy to decipher within the little time frame given, or probably the sequence/patterns are too easy, we (candidates) are too busy looking above our noses.
The one that has to be addressed is the quality of image you're meant to decipher, the quality is something I would love them to take seriously. How can i figure out a pattern from tiny boxes with illegible tiny objects inside them, (i don't even have a medical optical condition, how much more an individual who suffers such) ? KINDLY NOTICE ALL THREE SECTIONS DWELLED ON ONE MILESTONE; TIME.
I really do hope they see this and make improvements on their testing method. If these reviews are adopted and considered in making improvements to Dragnets testing format, they'll gain more credibility and win the hearts of all major recruiting firms and candidates as well.
Ps: i am not saying Dragnet should sacrifice her standard of testing or make their tests easier, i am only pointing these facts out , leveraging on the downsides i experienced during their most recent tests; Exxon Mobil GT recruitment, NSE GT recruitment.
I could be wrong on my assertion and i am as well open to intelligent criticisms, but then i have said my bit, Politely.
#Gracias

Akious2k2: If this is the only issue with Dragnet, I will say it has to do with the survival of the fittest, provided that the rule covers everyone & all questions are the same... @least, everyone was tested on a "levelled play ground"... It's unlike the case of GQ, if what was said about GQ is anything to go by I wonder for the chairman. The way he shouted no to DRAGNET Sha.....lolz |
