I'm mainly into Computer hardware, networking and Windows/Linux administration. But I also have knowledge in database administration.

In the vm settings I had to put all network adapter @ host only mode,then place the Host and Guest OS on the same subnet turned on network discovery and file sharing as you posited and it worked.

Simply turn on Network discovery on all guest OSes.
Ensure that file sharing is turned on too.

I appreciate the help bro,I was able to fix it after alot of wiggling and the help of some pros here too. Are you ino database administration or deployment sir?

I'm trying to set up a domain controller on the guest OS but dcpromo won't run because it says my admin account doesn't have a password or doesn't meet requirements.I've changed the password severally but to no avail

Also don't dream of playing games, the Intel HD graphics 5500 is not meant for heavy graphics work. It's meant for power saving and thus it duffers from throttling, , clock rates are reduced when any heavy performance comes it's way

I thought as much honestly,just wanted a third eye. I'll probably be getting the 8560w from eBay @least for a start to power my project.How much are you selling btw I may just get yours if in good condition.

Guys what do you think about the Dell E7250 core i7 ultrabook for real work. Apart from the small screen do you think it's a good buy? It's 16GB RAM with SSD and pretty clean.What's your opinion for programming and virtualization

Been using this system for about a year and I'm regretting opting for cheap, wanted 8770w but did not want to spend money, bought this Cuz it also runs a quaddro and has 32gb but I'm now forced to upgrade,

Alienvirus and Tunee thanks a lot bosses.I'm using the VMware Workstation 10.0 too,just getting a little more steady with it though.

You should be happy yours is working, simple server has never, ever worked for me! If I just browse small Mtn go follow me with their witchcraft message "you have used 90%" and soon it will stop working! you should smile because you were even able to use 100Mb

I'm trying to run a virtualized network of 6 Windows server 2008 operating systems running on VMWARE. I have all 6 installed but I'm unable to network all of them and receive connectivity throughour the 6 guest operating ssystems on the VMWARE.My host OS is a Windows Server 2008 operating system.
I have all the operating systems running IP addresses from the same subnet as the host OS,the idea was to have full connectivity throughout all OS but that isn't happening and I keep getting destination host unreachable,I managed to have one of the guest OS ping another guest OS but the receiving OS could not ping back,looking at packet statistics though I can see packets moving in and out of the adapter.
What I'm I doing wrong?

Well maybe I'll just settle for a 16GB RAM then,probably with a 7200rpm hop it doesn't lag. Lemme know when you decide to upgrade though.

how much and where did you get your 8560 and what are you virtualizing with your vmware?
