Moreover, ur dad's church aint gonna b livin wt u so y shud de impose such unnecessary rule. Afterall its not ur dad gettin married its u his son.

most marriage planning requires a lot of politics. U should lookout for key actors in this script u'll maneuver to ur camp. The important thing is how she responds to you because this can actually tell u what to expect when ure married. Is she being tactical or obstinate? If d latter then I'm afraid that woman's not meant for u. If she's being tactical, then u need to go political. Some private vists with d key actors and some very informal meeting btw family heads as well as a senior church representative from a neutral church they both respect.

Well, her father is late and her mom had single handedly provided for them since her childhood. The father ppl had neglected them for close to 20yrs now. Her mom is not close to any of her kings men. I'd like to navigate tru that axis but there is just no Lee way. So that leaves the mom the only prime persons to deal with...she herself despises her late hubby pipo

Its not looking good,I. Understand usually that white weddings are done in the brides church,at least that's the commonly held view,however I do not understand why compruses cannot be made for you due to your precarious situation,its smacks of selfishness,I do not understand why too much attention and finess is put on wedding ceremonies which last fo hours ,instead of we focussing od marriage which last fo a life time...you have to talk sense into your fiancee,I belive God will help you!!!

This is not supposed to be here in politics section na. Anyway, same thing happened to a friend of mine. When he had had enough, He called off the ceremony. That was when the bride realized that she was getting married to my friend n not to her rich aunt who had been calling the shots until my friend got fed up. The bobo say him no want again. Till today. If u both can not agree on the venue of ur wedding, then I fear for ur marriage. I always advise, in the event of an authority clash , the lesser authority must submit to the greater authority.

I met this young Lady some years ago, fell in love with her and finally proposed last year. I decided to make neccesary findings so as to get the whole deal through, but hit a serious brick wall. She said that the tradition in her church and family is that the man does the wedding in her church or nothing ...her mother isn't helping issues. My dad is a Bishop in a church that doesn't believe in white wedding talk less of going to another church to do it. I had a chitchat with him and he declared to me in confidence that I am the man and I should be the shot caller. The downside is that if I dare try it, my dad will be excommunicated. Having seen the danger that lies ahead I confided in my father that we can take the so call white wedding to a neutral place outside the walls of her church so not to give my church the reason to lynch my dad. I disscued this with her but she and most esp her mom aren't giving my proposal a thought. First her mother has nothing to loose been that the proximity will be such that her friends and colleague will still turn in their numbers..since her reasons in the first place was because she wanted a good attendance esp from people within her church circle and that she has been attending peoples wedding and they all are waiting for her daughters and that I can't afford to dash her own chance of inviting people.I find this very selfish....considering the fact that she hasn't given thought about my faith and what will happen to my dad...hence my proposal for a neutral place. I am very confused as I write and really want some good advise here.....

Still insist on the neutral location,her parent wont be the one to fund the wedding. White wedding is funded by the grooms family. your dad position is very important as well.Her parent should understand. If they dont accept it,marry from your faith.period.

sir there are different gifts for different people....i cant remember the number of people i have helped here on NL without even knowing them. if i try diverting this vission for fin. gains it ceases to work..so you see!

i wrote on this forum about four days ago for us all to pray for an impending air mishap but i was confident it was going to be averted. people came along with abuses..i didnt giveup i continued praying untill yesternight when i heard from cnn that asiana plan off shoot run way on landing and what was going to be a massive disaster was averted by sheer miracle.
