Why should you leave a stranger in your home before verifying her character?
How exactly do you verify a potential housemaid's character . . by observation or references?? I laugh at you.

God help us all in that country.

All men (in any country) will commit fraud where's there's lack of basic necessities of life despite being in a land flowing with money.

RomanceRe: Guys, What Will Make You Fight For A Lady? by kokoye(m): 5:00pm On Apr 15, 2011
Some girl used several curse words on an old woman in a store in Dallas - both African females. The girl went on ranting and shouting while the elderly woman stood in disbelief and shock. I cautioned the girl (maybe in her early 20s) and told her the person she was cursing was old enough to be her mother and she should treat her with respect.

Ol boy! see the way this girl flipped on me! she turned everything on me and asked why I couldnt mind my own business. She said everything in the books to me to make me raise my hands on her and I really felt like it. It was my wife and the elderly lady that pulled me out of the store - can you believe the girl followed us outside of the store . .still cursing me??

Some people walk about looking for people to dump their troubles on. This girl might have feigned a heart attack if I has raised a finger on her. Thank God.

Pssssssshh! Don't be so dramatic.

Do you know what the word 'secret' means?

As far as it wont affect their marriage in any way, I don't see why he really needs to know. undecided
OK . . having multiple abortions may not affect their marriage . . how about what they are goin thru now?

what's ur point?

She prolly knew she would have issues with giving birth but yet she kept that from him so she could be a Mrs.

Yes . . she could kill him. I said it grin

Pele Dayo, bawoni.

A whole bunch of people have been conned into marriage. We'll never know how many since most of them end up having children rightaway.

. .and some start going to church to become born again just for that purpose . . to get some dumb guy who's looking for a bride in church.

@ poster, you have a perfect case for a divorce.

How can you ever trust or want to sleep with such a woman . . she can kill you!

Aimoye(countless)! I've seen guys that I liked and that I wished could ask me out; but since I have my pride as a lady, I'd rather let the feeling fade off rather than spit it out. Besides, such relationships don't last.
I can count a couple for you . . all happily married with kids. Take this from an old school Nigerian man.

Like I said earlier, there are subtle ways to woo a guy. Most men would run for dear life if some strange female walked up and straight up asked for a relationship.

If he picked a good woman she will step up to the plate to take care of her family. We all know that bad stuff happens, . .
My point exactly.

The fact that the man is no longer able to be the provider does not mean he is not a real man. Although no one prays for such a thing to happen.

All in all, it is a matter of opinion. But I will not knock down the other party.

Most of us men would run for our lives if a strange lady came straight out to ask for a relationship  cheesy

But on the flip side, several men were 'wooed' by their wives without knowing it  . . due to the subtle ways in which the females did it at the time.

God help us all.

I don't know about "Africa" since I've never been there. But speaking from an all American's point of view, no. I can not "woo" a stranger.

No you did not just say that . . . .

Hold up playa. Dont put words in my mouth and infer meaning when there is none. Nobody said anything about stealing. If that is the only way you can hold it down, then that is on you. If you attract chicks who only want you for money, again that's on you. If you didn't go to school and get a good education so you can take care of yours, again THAT'S ON YOU.There are millions of men who go to work every day to provide for their families legally. And in case you didn't know, that is what real men are supposed to do.
OK.

I agree, as a responsible man, you want to make sure your family is taken care of. Adn that is exactly what I am but I am not going to knock down the men out there trying to be responsible.

I am sure we have seen cases of men who have done everything you listed here and somewhere along the line, an accident happens - the man is no longer able to be the provider. That is no man's wish or prayer but stuff happens.

what then?

Does this question insinuate the black guy was referring to the white guy as a racist?
The answer is a simple Yes.

Na by force to greet someone??

Like some people mentioned here, if I greet you once or twice and you dont answer, chikena.

Yes, that's the way some of us were brought up in Africa, but we really need to move on since a lot has changed - it is not a must that I must greet you . . or you must answer.

The same oyinbo people who used to poke fun at my accent now bring thier projects to me for approval.

Be polite, do your work and go home jeje.

No wonder 'men' commit all kinds of crime to 'care and provide' for their 'ribs' these days at all costs. I guess that's acceptable to  you

What happened if or when you 'provider' is no longer able to do these things . . do you move on to the next 'provider'?

And does the fact that you started a conversation with a man indicate that he cannot 'care and provide' for you  huh

Dont twist the Bible please.

God help us all.

Christianity EtcRe: The Davinci Code. Fact Or Myth? by kokoye(m): 7:04pm On Apr 13, 2011
MyJoe:
It's a work of fiction written around some historical facts. Stop bothering yourself about it. Brown is well-read and he enjoys what he does. As for that Last Supper painting, you can keep looking at it for 1000 years, but that you won't be any the wiser. Someone looked up at the sky on a very dark night and saw that the stars can be constructed into shapes - that's how constellations named after hunters and birds came about. That's what  most "subliminal art" ultimately amount to. If take a good look at your ceiling tonight, you will find some shapes. Did someone put them there to show you that your ceiling is not ceiling but something else?
Excellent response.

Dan Brown's stories are are fiction built wrapped around SOME facts and sites.  There is nothing evil about his writings . . he is just very smart with it. Pure fiction!

The reason why the Catholic Church is frowning is because of the sorts (like you) who may get confused and start to believe the stories.
