I am sorry but i would like to know when you guys last went to Naija. I came back from Naija only about 10days ago. That has to be one of the worst places on earth to go and i must say i am speaking as a patriot. I have visited atleast once or twice a year for the last 5years mainly for family and what not. Give exception to Calabar and Abuja. Lagos is still a complete dump, Port-Harcourt has to be the prostitution capital of Africa, Benin is the criminal capital, Aba is horrible, things are so expensive, local plane service comes with a 50% mortality rate,Police are all corrupt. Infact thru out my stay of 6 weeks i had to roll with a mopol man and i visited 8 states and it was a nightmare. I am telling you i am not sure that we can say with a straight face that Naija is the place to be right now. There is no light in many cities everyone has ozone decaying generators, the hospitals are not equipped even St Nicholas which is suppose to be one of the best. There is only one or maybe two MRI equipment in a country with so much wealth.

I am not sure where you all are coming up with this Naija the great ora. And please i am looking for the good. I will challenge any of you to go and fall sick in Naija and hear what the established doctors diagnose for you. Every pharmacy has a quasi-doctor and there is no regulation or oversight in any part of the government. No let me take that back Arriving in Abuja was fun, i was not asked for a bribe and people were generally scared to collect bribe.ABJ had Good roads ETC. But corruption is still rampant even with the EFCC and if i am not mistaken unemployment is still about 50%. Please how the hell will you now say that compared to that Yankee is not the shit? I am sorry but my opinion is that we as Nigerians generally like to suffer for things. There are easier ways to uplift our society, but we must first acknowlege that the country is falling apart.

Weslyan, i have replied the post, and i am still of the position that you said something very dumb and you needed the verbal tongue lashing. I guess that adults are not allowed to say or do adult things anymore. The problem with Naija ladies is that many of them come off thinking they are God's gift to mankind. I am standing by my words. Ladies it is 2005 and we need to start calling a spade a spade, and not a garden fork. All i am saying is that when you are in any relationship with a man or vice versa there is really no need to front, just keep it real and put up or shut up. I am Tired of African Men being judged as dogs, Players etc. Meanwhile women are not doing their part to hold down their own Part of the deal. I think that we need to focus on things that make your relationship work, be it sexual, mental or spiritual. I hear Naija girls say things like"I will never" or " Over my dead body" I just think that the African Male has a choice and the African woman needs to make sure they are competitive in the market period. Hey! Look pretty, wear lingerie,make your hair,try new things in bed, make the whole relationship thingy exciting and most men will respond in kind. But the bottom line is that Naija or African woman will more power than the know and should grab this thing by the horns and run with it instead of whining.

Wesleyan, my name is Kokscity please get it right. I think your complex is clearly transparent. You think Mixed Blacks are better than full blacks? Now If that is not an Uncle Toms ideology, i am not sure where u are coming from. I know you want to attack my first post, but i am 100% Full bred Naija was born in Niaja, and lived there for atleast two decades and have had a very good experience with Africans and African Americans and all other people equally.

The point is that it is always stupid when you stereotype a whole segment of society with one brush and make some of the bone-headed statements, that are clearly racist or at the least clearly dumb. Please get your head out of your ***, and make a better more eloquent argument on race, especially when you are black. I am sorry but if your parents do not want you to date a particular set of people, and you live your life for your parents that is all good. But you do not smear people to make a point, simply because they are different from you.

Alloy is absolutely right, Wesleyan you are totally off base and making some crazy statements. You are in essence making a racist statement and then justifying it because you are black. I think you are offbase and actually in a hole and you need to stop digging with those outrageous statements. It might be your opinion, but you are not immune to a response either. I think African Americans are one of the most dynamic people on Earth and i am sure if they were not strong you would not be able to enjoy all the freedoms you have now in the US.

The problem is that Nigeria women especially those in the western world have been undercut by other women. The average Nigerian man has options and typically wants to test the waters. Nigerian and African men have options now and the Nigerian woman needs to step up her game. For instance : Start giving your man H**d in bed without whining. No disrespect my humble opinion! ;

Is there an option of not marrying Nigerian at all?
