Family / Re: Spanking Your Child In Public by Kologie: 6:29am On Aug 16, 2012
Only the rod of discipline will drive out folly and waywardness that abound in most children. We must realise that from age 1-10 children are still in their cognitive stage. This is the period they learn/adopt habits and traits that will constitute their character later in life as an adult. To guide and mould the character of children and ensure that they do not grow wild, it become expedient to employ both the use of 'the rod of discipline' and loving/gentle rebuke, as well as praise/compliment. When a child exhibit a very bad behaviour, do not relent in beating it out of him/her and send a strong message that the behavior is unacceptable. On the other hand, do not also hesitate to lavishly praise and compliment his/her good behavior.
As a Nigerian i believe cane is a veritable and effective tool for correction which is necessary for weeding out acts of gross indiscipline from our children/wards.
Politics / Re: Oshiomole Dancing With Benin Chiefs by Kologie: 3:37pm On Jul 15, 2012
PDP failed to realise that the gubernatorial seat was not vacant. The outcome of the election was a forgone conclusion because all indications point to Oshobaba's victory. We just hope he does not change hand & betray d confidence d people of Edo state has reposed in him. So far so good, Edo state has set a precedence in terms of showing regard for sound democratic process in which d people's vote count. Double hailings to d Benin traditional council, to d good people of Edo state and to ACN. My big conratulations to oga Adams!!

wowo2: At my place of work, they call it it attracting the best people...If I know you are good and won't mess up on the job I reco you if there is a job opening that you are interested in and I get paid 250,000 naira if you successfully scale probation after 3 months.
You still do tests and interviews though and only get the job if you pass the stages.

That is how I got my job too...it is a cycle...not a vicious one.

pls, i would love to get into the wheel of this cycle. Here is my contact mail.

He that criticise what he does not understand is like a man burning with high fever, to whom the choicest of food is unpalatable... Dnt just critcise because others are critcising, dnt base ur criticism on hearsay...like the bible said,'the simple believe all that he hears'.... 'prove ye all things'.

Food / Re: What Are The Health Benefits Of Drinking/ Soaking Garri ? by Kologie: 8:37am On Apr 29, 2012
The benefit of eating garri is immeasurable. Garri has a high fibre content that help facilitate digestion and improve proper bowel movement. It is effective against Irritable Bowel Syndrome and can also help reduce the risk of colonic cancer. In view of this, garri's bulk of fibre can be seen as an internal cleaning agent as it help clear out fecal impaction of your intestinal walls, thereby increasing your nutrient absorbtion rate. Do you know research has shown that most diseases have their root traced to an unhealthy intestinal tract, caused by high intake of low fibre food like white-flour based diets? This is where garri can become of immense benefit.
And again, there is no disputing its energy content. Garri contains starch, and by extension serves as a veritable source of energy needed by man for his sustenance.
Garri dey blind eye? I never see person wey go blind as a result of soaking garri. But the truth is that, eating too much of everything will take it toll on your body. If you abuse a good thing like Garri, it will turn out bad for you. Just learn to vary your diet. Garri is good for everyone irrespective of whether you're born with a silverspoon or a bamboo spoon.
For me, i be omo naija and i dey soak garri well well. Cheers!

Politics / Re: CBN Response To Sanusi Plagiarism Allegation by Kologie: 8:04pm On Apr 26, 2012
That's what you get when mediocres without requisite capacity to competently discharge their duties are made the head. Sanusi's boys are bunch of misfit who should stick their tails between their legs rather than shamelessly try to defend their mindless act of stealing from another. What's there to hold on to when people that are suposed to live above board throws caution to the air without recourse to morality? I tire for this our people o.

Nairaland / General / Re: Who Has More SWAG? Lagos Or Abuja Babes? by Kologie: 6:07pm On Apr 23, 2012
Abuja is a convergence zone for all the ashewos in nigeria. 80% of all the babes are in the business of selling 'kpekus' to men who are hooked on it. They re every where in the city in different class & guise. Na here u go see ashewo wey dey wear buba and wrapper dey hustle. Abuja slogan should have be 'CENTER FOR DICK AND PUXXY'.cheesy As for swag, Lasgiddy babes are more swagalicious.

That's a cool thing to do. People who take time out to unwind and recharge usually attain optimum performance in their job. And again, what's life without some fun? Too much seriousness na poison in a man's life--enjoyment good no be small.

Religion / Re: I Was Embarassed 4 Reading Bible From My Phone, whats Wrong With That? by Kologie: 11:39pm On Apr 10, 2012
For me I think the sister in question is just making issues out of nothing. Books exist in different format--it could either be electronic or in print. Maybe she has aversion for technology especially on issues that borders on her faith--the same ground on which the 'Bokos' base their ideology. Na small small e dey start!! Blowing things out of proportion, and then indoctrination.
