Our pretentious komekn would only base his assessment on whether or not a player has been involved in English football. You cannot blame him since that is the extent of his knowledge.

Once upon a time in 2020, a few on this thread were clamoring for the invitation of Frank Onyeka when he was still with FC Midtjylland . Here are a few comments that represented the position of our objective friend :







To paraphrase: "He is not involved with English football, therefore he must be piss poor'

Fast forward two seasons later - after a move to his beloved premiership, Onyeka all of a sudden has few competitors in the Super Eagles.

The same folks who saw him as good enough for the call up then are now pointing out that there are other midfielders who can offer more than Onyeka now. Quite a few already stated that Onyedika is an even better player than him as far back as 12 months ago. They did not need 2 failed bids from AC Milan to know that.

He has not been anonymous. He was voted his club's player of the month of August and they are 5 points clear at the top of the league!

That a deal was not completed for his transfer last summer doesn't not mean there was no interest! You said 'interest is not speculation but action' but yet you claim to know how these things work behind the scenes? Smh

Komekn said sanusi who plays for a top team like Porto wont make the bench of a championship team like Fulham ,while I said onyedika who plays for a top Belgian team wont currently make the bench of arsenal who have quality midfielders better than him .

Now ask yourself is onyedika better than what we have at arsenal

Onyedika and co should keep improving as they will make it to a top team starting 11 in the nearest future ,but oga Daniel for now they won’t make arsenal bench and that’s on period .

Nwaneri was listed in Arsenal premier league squad for the season, so you will see him on the bench often.. They also have another academy graduate on their Europa league squad, a midfielder.. And they still have El-Neny...

Kelechi Nwakali is a highly talented player no doubt and there has always been this high expectation around him.
It was always expectation that he will come through one day. But.... his development doesn't just seem right. With the kind of expectations placed on him years back he should be up there with the likes of Osimhen and Chukwueze by now. Boy should have been the Super Eagles main man in the midfield. But...……... Too bad.

I am not judging nor rating him based on few games in Belgium and the ucl but what he has been doing since making the leap to top flight football about 2 seasons ago. Hv seen him play few times and must confess he is talented and good enough for a place in the super eagles squad. I never insinuated that he will dislodge any of iwobi,ndidi or even aribo at the moment but good enough to serve as an understudy to the trio especially ndidi

Not trying to talk down on nwakali’s resurgence this season but he needs to make the leap to a top league, continue with his form to be counted

Any decent player can strive and make a name for himself in the Spanish 2nd tier

as it stands now with etebo moving to Greece he is off it since we hv younger and talented duo of alhassan and onyedika doing pretty well in a better league

As for bonke he is still in the mix but down the pecking order. Moreover the few matches he played for the super eagles he is yet to convince anyone that he deserves to be an integral part of the squad.

Judging by current form to me below is our best dm,cm and AM players

When people say he has a special skill set, I scratch my head. They do not realize that it is in the nature of anything special to be recognized and elevated especially in the sports industry. What special skill set does he have that scouts all over Europe have not been able to spot to get him out of second division football?

that guy and komekn are like two sides of a coin. He prefers a footballer that have that trenches background in his history and you must be home based before he can acknowledge the footballer. Komekn on the other hand prefers players that are trained in the king's country. Even if you are from Spain that bobo will not rate you until you play in the premier league. The best he can say to any non UK footballer is to say that maybe they can make the bench of a league two team.

A coach that is not emotive and is intelligently objective should be sitting at the top of the table and not top when counting from the bottom.
